So this group works directly under the Hutt Cartel faction if I'm reading correctly? So my question are -

How does this group obtain consent from the Cartel in order to open up this branch?

How did these guys get into the Cartel when they are from Corellia?

Won't you need a fair amount of money to start something such as this?

This may need clarification from an admin or two, since the major factions won't be player-controlled to begin with.

One potentially easy work around would be to just say that the Corellian members of the Hutt Cartel naturally gravitated towards each other and were either A) given a certain level of autonomy explicitly or B) too low-level to warrant any "official" interest from the Hutts - as long as they paid their respects/treasure to the big fat bosses.

I'll take each line as one question so here goes -

1 - Yes it will.
2 - I am operating under the assumption that the Hutts would not object to making more money especially at no risk to them.
3 - Same way as anyone else from outside Hutt Space. Contractors, or through groups that worked for the Cartel/their allies.
4 - Not at all. This is being started as a group of geezers in a bar deciding to do stuff, hence #2 stating there would be no risk to the Cartel.

I think my exile could be tapped as an associate once she becomes more well known.

Bunch of guys and gals living in the Corellian District of Coruscants Underworld meet in a bar, they decide to work together and set out some rules for doing business. They realise in order to stay around, they should probably get some locations, bars and such, under their name. As several/all of them came from the Cartel/worked for the Cartel, that's a plus - makes it easier to do business. They light some Cigars, say a toast, and get to work.

Whether we involve the Cartel in a few freelance missions here and there so to speak or if we're simply a division within the Cartel, the ship is sailing. So any pirates and smugglers out there, we will be making missions to accompany the idea.
