[Interest Check] Cloak and Fang

Heyo Everybody!!!!

So a few weeks ago, while I was on holiday, I started to get obsessed with Vampires. I went all over, from Dracula to Castlevania and, since this is a Diverse RP Board, I thought to myself, why not see who's interested in my hairbrained ideas?

This is Cloak and Fang, an RP World devised by myself and @Dark child that focuses mainly on Earth-21215154, a world where Vampires have controlled society since the early 17th century, up into the modern day.

Basic History: After the defeat and 'disappearance' of Count Vlad Tepes Dracula by an alliance of the Church and the Ottoman Empire, his followers spread throughout the world and began to take footholds in it's societal infrastructure. They embedded themselves in politics, high society, law enforcement, agriculture, science circles, even the church for a time, and during the late 1700's, the newly created Umbra Movement finally seized their chance. The American Revolution, a battle for freedom, justice, and liberty for it's citizens, a war for control, domination, and power for it's instigators, the Umbra Vampires, looking to take control of the entire world. In time, they won the war, and in doing so, the groundwork was laid for their eventual, ultimate victory: Total World Domination. Many wars and rebellions have been fought between then and now, but for over 200 ears, the planet has been in the singular, ironclad grip of the Vampire.

In the present day, the Umbra Government (Based in the World Health Organization Main Office in Geneva) is beginning to collapse under it's own weight. The hubris, laziness, and old world values of it's creators has led to the Half Fangs, humans turned Vampires, becoming second class citizens and suffering at the hands of their Regents. Their interest in simply reaping the benefits of power have led to neglect and ignorance of their people, and some regents even abuse their subjects, passing laws or policies that actively make their lives worse. Many have since become tired of their low status, and have banded together to form the 3V Terrorist Group, a faction of half fangs determined to improve their lot in life, either by combing through texts and historical records in hope of finding and reawakening their progenitor, Dracula, or by simply declaring war on the Umbra Government and working to overthrow them.

Hiding in the midst of this growing unrest is the Church, a shadow of it's former self. After losing the American Revolution (having told the King of the real threat and requested he commit his armies to quashing it), they lost much of their power and were decimated by the Umbra Government before being assimilated into them. The Pope answers to them know, every high ranking member of the Vatican a permanent thrall and the low ranking priests and ministers left helpless to do anything. Despite this though, a small glimmer of it's old self still remains, and the dark corners of Rome have given rise to the resurrection of the Knights of the Holy Order, privately funded by reclusive billionaire, Jeffery Hawthorne. With this new rush of hope, they have renewed their shadow wars against the creatures of the night, and with the support of their new friend, one day, they will be able to drive the enemies of god back into the depths from whence they came...


Ok, so that's the general jist of the plot, the initial focus is going to be on the uprising on the half fangs, wth the church hoping to take advantage of the situation. Dracula and his reign will be a relatively important thing later on, but for now is simply doomed to random mentions and cetain conversations here and there.
