Asteroid Field
Somewhere between Akuria and Agamar.
Journal Log:
This is the journal log of Aralan Delste, Champion of the Sith Order, and researcher of Dark Side. I have arrived at an asteroid belt in sector M-5 on the hunt for a subterranean shrine of some sort in pursuit of an artifact of unknown power was rumored to exist within the shrine. This rumor was unreliable at best, coming from a group of scavengers I had overheard drunkenly bragging about their find to other patrons in a tavern. However, even the most unscrupulous of individuals sometimes are guided upon the path to glory and fortune, I would have been a fool to not investigate further. As such, I influenced the men to provide me with more details and offered my expertise in discerning the value of what they had found deep beneath the asteroid itself and an accord was struck, they would guide myself and a team of capable individuals into the depths of the asteroid and in return I would use my limited influence to aid them in ensuring their hauls found a fair sum within Imperial Markets.
Upon reaching out to my limited contacts and managing to convince them of the potential behind this venture, we took flight with the scavengers to the location of their find. Much to my chagrin, it did not take long for things to go wrong. Within mere hours of entering the subterranean labyrinth the scavengers had gone missing and a violent quake caused a cave in of the tunnel we had entered through, leaving the group only one way to go, forward. Thankfully, the atmosphere in these tunnels is hospitable but has the metallic tang of synthesized atmosphere which is suspicious. This has led me to a growing suspicion that we might not be alone in the darkness and that perhaps, the information so freely given was less an opportunity and more akin to a lure of some horrible monster.
OOC information: This is a fun adventure that is not directly related to the Sith faction nor any faction. It is designed to have some fun, establish some contacts IC between PCs, and provide a thrilling narrative for everyone involved to enjoy. The thread will begin shortly after the collapse of the tunnel systems behind our party, meaning we would have already been assembled and reached the destination, how your character knows Aralan or of the goal of the expedition is entirely up to you. I am looking for a total group size of about 4, your character’s faction doesn’t particularly matter, just keep in mind that the primary goal shouldn’t be pvp but rather survival and escape from the situation we are caught in. Once interest has been garnered, we can determine if the party would prefer a DM, self-dm, or party check based system for the thread.
