The Dark side was my mentor. The Dark side is my teacher. The Force is my guide and the Darkness is the path I take. These are the words in which Ashlyn told herself again and again. She was dressed in dark robes, her face covered by her cloak. The Sith priest entered into the gardens on Ossus with a mind set to knowledge. She was here to learn and explore the nature that this temple could offer her. The Force grew wildly in this palace of misfortune. War had beset these walls on more than one occasion and they would continue to do so with each turn of the tide.

The Priesthood of Tund had no particular interest in the forgotten gardens, but the young priestess wished for solitude. It was in her lonliness that the Force had come to her and given her the greatest gifts she could hope to achieve. Each one a blessing disguised as a curse. First, her blindness. She had been blinded at a young age in a Sith raid on her village. While she once thought that was a horrible turn of events, she now saw the world in a far greater way. Second, her mistress. She swore herself to learn and obey the woman who saved her back on Felucia. She swore herself to the very person who likely killed her parents. Yet, this pledge gave her a best friend, a mentor..and a lover. She loved her mistress in so many ways.

The last curse was that of the Priesthood. Her first week there she was tortured by one of her peers and then soul-bound to her, a punishment befitting of them both. The bind forever interlocked their destinies. Naturally the deed would feel like a curse to both of them. However, the link gave them a powerful connection and a power most in the universe could never hope to achieve. Even now on the other side of the galaxy she could feel her soul sister speaking with her. Their powers connected by invisible strings that knew no bounds.

As she moved further into the plains she found what she was looking for. In the center of it all was a grand statue probably twice the size of her. Someone had spent many hours carving this stone into the beautiful creation that it was now. That being said, such grace was lost on the blind girl for all she saw was a large rock. Her hand reached up to the stone and gently touched it with the base of her fingers. Her nails stroked against the solid earth as she explored the statue with her mind.

"Yes I thought as much," she would say to herself.

Ashlyn then flattened her hand against the stone and connected to the living Force. A ripple would stretch out from her location as she willed the mystical power to do her bidding. Large cracks formed in the stone from where her hand was and splintered all the way across the statue. It began to crack and shatter under its own weight until it fell into a pile of rubble. Ashlyn pulled her hand back, gently brushing it off to the side. As she did, the rocks would move with her as of she herself was willing them to move.

Only someone who knew where to look would have seen what that rock had hidden. Unless someone came along who didn't use their eyes. Deep within the base of the statue was a little cube like object that would begin to hum as it reacted to the Force. It was a holocron, a database Force users kept their troves of knowledge on. Ashlyn had heard rumors there might be one located in the garden. It seemed she was the right person to find it.
