DE, only Deucalians, Hutts, and others allowed on Nal Hutta may join. Please keep to 48 hours for posting. This is a Deucalian raid, so by the Law of Plunder anyone who joins on the Deucalian side is granted a portion of spoils.

Ivarr trudged through the thick swamps of Nal Hutta, her body encased in the heavy Kougine Lohba armor, her swords hung loosely at her side, her blasters resting gently in their holsters, and her Bowcaster in her hands. Behind her, almost one hundred men, women, and even children trudged along with her. Clan Ramund was on the warpath. Earlier in the day, Ivarr had addressed her people with a rallying cry and an order, "I have uncovered the location of The Sword of Freya!" She had shouted to her people, "I declare, by my right as clan chief, a raid! We will take the sword and unite all Deucalians under our banner with it! For Clan Ramund!"

Her people had nearly lost their minds with rage and joy at her declaration. The sword had been lost for a thousand years, but here their leader had found its location of it. As Ivarr trudged, she felt nothing but rage within her body and soul. Ivarr had told her clan that she found the location of the sword, but that was not the whole truth. Their patron came through for them once again. Whilst Ivarr was examining the logs of treasure and holdouts from the reign of Durr the Hutt, whom Nor'baal Desijilic(@Nor'baal) had usurped, she had found the sword listed among Durr's unrecovered belongings.

Begging for the chance to recover that blade had not been her finest moment, nor had begging for her entire clan to be temporarily released from their duty as well. Thankfully, Nor'baal had understood the cultural significance and long-term ramifications of restoring Deucalian power. Well, there was that, and that the blade was being held by one of Durr the Hutt's old Majordomos. Ivarr had promised his corpse delivered in a thousand pieces to her patron, along with all the stored treasures that the old majordomo had squirreled away from his master.

Turning back to her clan, she motioned for people to stay quiet. They were approaching the majordomo's hideout soon enough, and there would be a fight on their hands.[abox3]

"A raid for the Sword of Freya."

Sehra pulled and pushed her feet in and out of the swamp's slimy mud one step at a time, an iron rod swinging to and fro with her gait beside the bowcaster at her hip. A sheathed chainsword was strapped to her back, and the towering half-Orcolan was armored similarly to her clan leader in front of her. Clan Ramund was yowling around her, ignited by Ivarr's fighting words, and a grin tugged at Sehra's thick lips at the sound of it.

"This outta be interesting."

Ivarr's deal with the hutt had led to some interesting turn of events, and she was nothing short of eager to see where it would lead them and their clan. But first, they had to do some major damo to Durr's old majordomo.

"What's the opposition lookin' like?" she asked, pushing her way up until she was within earshot of Ivarr. She kept her voice low, but the bass in the woman's voice guaranteed the Deucalian in front of her would hear her.

The palace-fortress of Durr the Hutt was not so impressive as it once was. Left in the care of the Hutt's majordomo but without Durr's influence in the underworld, it'd become little more than a well-protected hideout where riches were stored, pirates gathered, and petty criminal deals underwent. But a fortress of sorts still it was, in that way of the Hutts.

Though dusty, vibroblades and axes still cut. Though rusty, cannons and rifles still fired true enough to kill. Guards, living and droid few in number, patrolled the perimeter before a vast metal gate. Wide enough to fit two Hutts carried abreast, tall enough for monsters from across the galaxy to be dragged through in heavy chains. A stonework wall in significant disrepair ringed the compound, clearly considered an unneeded extra expense by the fortress' current owner.

No one would dare attack them, here on Nal Hutta, the Glorious Jewel. Not when they had guns and blades, soldiers and beasts, and the reputation of the Hutts to shield them. Any attacker surely must be mad, well-backed, or both. It'd be fine. Just fine.

Visible as the Deucalian clan marched across Nal Hutta's swampy surface were mostly the guards and static defenses. But they worked for the Hutts; their defenses were often subtle and insidious. Who knows what awaited any would-be raiders within?

Sehra Iron-Bearer shouldered up to Ivarr fairly quickly as the clan approached their target. Sehra had a bit of a rough reputation among the clan, not necessarily well-liked due to her tendency to rely more on the Law of Iron more than words, hence the title she had been bestowed. But Ivarr 'Bone Breaker' took a liking to the giant woman, possibly due to her own title bestowed upon her. They were kindred spirits.

"Opposition is unknown, can't be more than half our own numbers though. Durr's lackeys aren't popular anymore since Nor'baal took over. But don't underestimate them. We aren't looking at demoralized cowards looking for a way out, if anything, we're dealing with cornered dire wolves." While she spoke to Sehra, Ivarr directed thirty of her stronger men to go around to the back of the compound and wait for her signal to assault.

Snapping, Ivarr signaled two men to be brought up next to her. Each one carried a E-60R Rocket Launcher. "That said," She added, "We'll still properly knock on their door." At that, she counted down for ten minutes, waiting to give her men time to follow her orders. Then, with a wild grin, she pointed at the doors.

BOOM BOOM

The rockets went off without a hitch, and Ivarr's heavily armored clan began moving methodically for the gate. Their orders were to spread out, group up in teams no more than two strong in order to minimize casualties from any grenades, and fire at anything that poked its head up from the battlements. All the while, slowly advance on the hole punched through the main gate.

Unknown opposition, but nothing more than them. A toothy smile spread across Sehra's lips, and she grunted in acknowledgment of Ivarr's answer. "Dire wolves, huh?" She'd fought bigger, tougher beasts. Just like them, she'd sink her claws in and rip them apart.

"Would be impolite to do anythin' else," she laughed, a gleeful look in her eyes as the rocket launchers came out. Ten minutes ticked down second by second, and the moment the woosh of their launch ended with the explosive crackle of their impact, Sehra and the others began marching forward.

Her bowcaster fell into her hands, and she aimed it upward at the battlements, releasing a shot for every head she saw peak over the stone. Though she aimed to hit, it was more important that she kept them in hiding. Once they reached the walls, the chainsword was coming out, and there would be blood in the streets.

Both rockets struck the front gate, a knock gonging steel and ringing the start to a brawl. Two guards near the gates were blown aside in the opening explosion. There was a long few moments of confusion as the defenders scrambled against the insane idea of someone actually attacking them, during which only scattered fire from guards was shot at the approaching clansmen.

The clansmen were wise to fire suppressive bolts toward the battlements. Although these guards had powerful rifles they weren't professional soldiers and lacked the apparent morale or leadership to fight back optimally , only returning fire opportunistically. One guard fell from the crumbling wall with most of her head missing thanks to Sehra's efforts, others also struck down during the approach.(@Lizzie)

From inside the hole where the gate used to be, a heavy bolt rang out and punched straight through an approaching Deucalian's armor, killing them instantly. The originator wasn't visible from their position, hiding somewhere in the hall beyond perhaps. As the Deucalians marched on the front gate, murder holes above and around the gate were populated by gunmen firing automatic blasters in an inaccurate but consistent rain on the approaching invaders.

Around back there was a service entrance, only a single door with a single armored guard and a single droid sentry. He'd been busy getting high when the explosion rang and nearly dropped his old E-11 while the droid whistled in alarm. They best keep their eyes open.
