Most places in the galaxy had streets you shouldn't walk down, especially at night. Tatooine had streets you shouldn't walk down... ever. You sort of expect this sort of situation from a place that has been under Hutt control for hundreds of years but it didn't mean Giran had to like it. It was hard to imagine that such a lawless and immoral place had such a strong connection to his order plus it was so hot! Why were all these planets so hot! Not like nice cold Mirial alas these were all things to think about another time.

The reason they were in such a force forsaken place was a request. A request for justice. Justice wasn't usually the sort of thing people on Tatooine looked for, however this was a special case. The facts were these, a man had been murdered whilst working his job at the local repair yard. He was murdered by a man who was fairly famous as an ex-hitman that use to work for the local Hutt. It turn's out this hitman was wanted by a lot of different people including the sector rangers. Unfortunately, he was under the protection of the local Hutt. That's where they came in. They go in knock him out and take him off world to have justice served. It seemed like a simple enough job.

Giran now sat in the passenger seat of a speeder watching the hitman (a Togruta) enter a building Giran had to assume was his home.
"This should be easy enough, we go knock on the door subdue him or convince him to come peacefully. Then, we take him to the spaceport and hand him over to transport ship which will get him to the rangers. The people around here all seem to hate this guy because of his time as an enforcer sooooo as long as we steer clear of the hutts men we shouldn't run into any problems" Giran said scrolling through some notes he'd taken on his datapad.
He turned to the other two padawans with him, it was a testament to how easy the jedi thought this would be in that they only sent padawans. Admittedly, these were some of the more sensible ones. Giran found himself working with Fiach more and more and yet still seemed to have very little grasp on who she was. She was like a perfect doll, she never put a foot out of line, never boasted, never complained, a perfect jedi some might say. Yet he often found himself wondering what was going on behind that stoic expression. Somm was the other padawan in question. He'd actually first met the guy in the library and although they hung around in similar circles, he hadn't got to know him very well yet.
"So, any objections or shall we?" Giran said gesturing to the house

To some, the heat of Tatooine might be unbearable. To many, the heat would at least be oppressive. Just not to a native of Klatooine — where the temperature was broadly similar and the problem with dust and sand about the same too.

And every planet had cities and towns where you didn’t walk unless you had business there — and this was where Fiach’s comfort zone evaporated like water in the Dune Sea. For she never went out at night and especially never frequented less salubrious neighbourhoods. But now, if she were to be a Jedi one day, this is precisely where she needed to be.

It was a mission — and one entrusted to three Padawans. Which meant, at least in theory, it would be low-risk. But the area they were in and its inhabitants suggested that the initial appraisal of the request may have been a little under- specced. But they were here and they had a job to do. It was a simple extraction — if that was not an oxymoron. If they could avoid the Hutts, then they could be in and out very quickly.

As ever, Fiach reflected that everything she’d thought until now was theory — and they were about to leave the printed page and enter reality — hopefully without a bump.

She nodded at Giran’s appraisal. It sounded reassuringly easy. “Peaceful is good,” she echoed, “hopefully three of us will convince him to go quietly.” It was a voice laced more with hope than expectation. “But I’m ready either way.”
