DESCRIPTION​

The Imperial-class heavy repulsortank is a large combat vehicle which was first manufactured for the Galactic Empire by Ubrikkian Industries, at the time a fully nationalized company. An attempt by the Empire to replace various categories of Clone Wars-era repulsortanks still in their inventory, it dispensed with most of the high-tech weaponry and defensive measures of earlier vehicles, concentrating instead on brute firepower, armor and simplicity.

The Imperial is a 10.5-meter-long slab of duranium armor plating, in some places up to half a meter thick, making the vehicle almost completely resistant to frontal attacks with anything short of a light turbolaser. The sides are marginally more vulnerable, and can be penetrated by anti-tank rockets or lighter field artillery. The rear is the vehicle's main weak-point, as several crucial elements of the repulsorlift assembly and drive system are exposed there; a well-placed shot will completely immobilize the vehicle. Getting close enough to make a killing shot is not easy in any direction, however; the Imperial fairly bristles with firepower, including 2 side-mounted medium laser cannons which can be traversed in a vertical arc, a forward-firing grenade launcher with a 75 meter range, and the main armament, a heavy laser cannon in a fully rotating dorsal turret.

The Imperial has long outlasted the Empire which commissioned them, serving in various regional militaries across the Galaxy. Some wealthier criminals have also gotten hold of these monsters.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Though not the most powerful vehicle of their type in existence, Imperial-class heavy repulsortanks are purpose-built combat craft, and are thus generally restricted from civilian ownership on most civilized worlds.

RESTRICTIONS​

Imperial-class heavy repulsortanks are military vehicles, and their weapons can only be used in PVE/PVP against other vehicles and starships. They cannot be owned by individual characters, but can be acquired as a faction asset.
