A lot of us have probably played Starwars: The Old Republic a time or two. If you've ever played PVP, you know that there is a Warzone called Huttball.
For those of you who don't know what it is, it goes like this; It's a spectator sport on Nar Shadaa hosted by the Hutt Cartel. Two teams, each traditionally comprised of a different faction, compete for the Huttball. It's a ball, located in the center of the ring, you don't carry it, it floats near you, kind of like a training droid. The reason for this, is that there is no kicking or catching in Huttball. To quote Baron Deathmark 'HUTTS DON'T HAVE FEET.' So throwing it is equivalently telling it where to go.
The fun part of Huttball, is stealing the ball. Huttball is a full contact, all weapons, violent sport. You hurt people in this game, with whatever you want, Lightsabers, Explosives, Blasters, etc. When the ball handler is taken out, the ball is reset back to the middle. The Huttball courses and arenas are also filled with lovely little traps, spikes, fire, acid pools, etc.
The goal is to get the ball over your enemy's line.
I thought that perhaps, through some ironing out and a couple of extra rules, this might be a fun thing to rp out in the dueling ring!
Thoughts anyone?
