Hutt Cartel Ranks​

Hutt Grand Council​

Oyabun
The elected leader of the Hutt Grand Council and the faction leader of the Hutt Cartel. The Oyabun sets the agenda for the Cartel and determines its direction. The Oyabun also holds executive authority over the Cartel's military and navy and can direct them into war should the need arise. Most Oyabun's use their vast connections with the criminal underworld and the resources at their fingertips to remain in charge; but if the Council were ever displeased with an Oyabun, a simple majority vote would be enough to remove the current leader. This rank is synonymous with the Five Syndicate rank of Syndicate Boss, since the Oyabun is the 'Syndicate Boss' of the Hutt Cartel.

Daimyo
Members of the Hutt species who have claimed a world as their criminal territory and have sworn fealty to the Hutt Grand Council. However, simply declaring a territory is not enough to forge a solid organization. Daimyos still must put in the work and effort of building up their criminal connections and profits if they want to command the respect of other Syndicate crime lords. As a Daimyo, the Hutt in question also has a voting voice on the Hutt Grand Council, representing their territory's interests to the rest of the Cartel. This rank is synonymous with the Senator rank with the Galactic Senate, since the Daimyos are merely claiming a territory to represent in the Hutt Grand Council. They still must work to build up their individual criminal empires same as anyone else in the Syndicates.

General Hutt Cartel Ranks​

Vassal
A rank that can be held by both Hutts and non-Hutts. A Daimyo initially claims one world as their territory for criminal operations. However, as they work to expand their influence and open up other worlds to their business, they might need lieutenants to assist running their holdings. These lieutenants are called Vassals and are permitted to run part of their boss' territory in exchange for their fealty and a portion of their earnings as tribute.

Below this point, the Hutt Cartel uses the same ranks as the rest of the Five Syndicates: Scoundrels, Enforcers, Ringleaders, and Vanguards. See the Five Syndicates write-up for further details on what those ranks entail.
