THEME
(prep meeting thread , pvp enabled, death disabled )

The cargo container sat inert onboard the transport shuttle. There was nothing special about this box but rather what resided inside. The same could be said for the other containers. Cloud cover provided by the inclement weather of the world would be a boon for them this day as it would have it and lower long distance visibility.

Hours before, in the dead of night, during one of the shift changes in the restricted airspace of the Mygeeto spaceport, N4-X4 snuck into the guarded area. This was not too great a feat for the droid as it was coated in a scatterweave substance making the commando droid move in and out of shadows. If that wasn't enough, the droid's housed personal cloaking device made it even harder to detect it. The airspace around the planet was heavily influenced by the Intergalactic Banking Clan. Naxa's target. To get the best chance of actually making off with the credits, the element of surprise was key. A personav and a fusion cutter were added to the droids equipment today. The former for checking on the progress (if naxa wished to check it) and the latter for making sure the droid could also open the crate from the inside in a flash in the event it accidentally had become locked.

The droid had been smooth and methodical in a way no organic could be. Patience and efficiency went hand in hand. What the droid had in planned with Preef Callo, Tacitus and Konn would take place soon enough. Smuggling and stowing itself away onboard the ship, the droid would wait until it felt the momentum and changes of the ship taking off.

The crate, if scanned, would not yield life signs and with the droid conserving power, it would be even harder to detect. Silently, the machine waited and felt the moments go by with cold indifference. It's programing allowed it to have a fairly accurate gauge of local times and stopwatch applications. The change in momentum told him that the crate was being boarded onto a shuttle. The vessel would be carrying approximately half a million credits just a few meters away in another storage compartment, having been loaded from another transport from off world. But the droid had no urge to peek before the time was right. The shuttle was headed to the IGBC surface vault after refueling and transferring other cargo at the planet's local space port. Elsewhere, the droid expected its cohorts to be executing their parts of the plan as well.

Tacitus had swapped out his armor a little bit for the mission and already he was beginning to wish he'd spent more time in the new configuration. It didn't sound like much of a change, to have jet-functionality added to his boots and take off some of the vision modes for ease of convenience but, well, it still felt slightly off.

Without the Scout HUD in his helmet, Tacitus felt like he was wearing a suit that he knew fitted... but that he hadn't worn in so long that it felt like an entirely new suit. Thankfully he was still pretty practiced with jetboots otherwise the whole exercise might have to end with him flailing as he fell to his death.

He much preferred other outcomes.

"Anyone for a nip before go-time?"
he asked, holding up a small flask that he had brought with him from his own ship, "Rum."

He didn't know where it was from even - it was just a little ritual he liked to do, to take a drink of rum before doing something stupid in a ship. Taking a sip, he would hand the flask to whoever signaled they wanted some. Though he would admit that the Wookie would likely finish the thing in a single swig. Tacitus busied himself by making sure all his weapons were firmly strapped to himself along with two spare clips for each weapon.

Konn exited the cockpit of the ship, hearing Tacitus speak he wanted to check to see what he was offering. Konn had been watching the pilot droid pilot the ship. Wanting to learn a bit more about flying himself. He couldn't always rely on a droid to do the work and he knew that. Sitting down across Tacitus he looked at the rum and cocked a brow.

"Anything stronger?"

The Wookiee said into his translator which he had acquired in between their meeting and the mission. The translator translated the Wookiee's Shryiwook for him, this way his comrades could understand what he was saying. Konn had been frustrated during the meeting, having to rely on Naxa to translate for him wasn't the best. Konn had his bowcaster on him and had a bunch of cartridges spare in case he needed them. His main task on this mission would be manning a gun to blow any Vulture droids out of the sky and to horribly do whatever the pilot droid could not. Konn played with his beard out of boredom as they waited, soon Tacitus and Preef would be off in their jet boots doing their task. It was a shame that they couldn't get any Wookiee sized boots, he'd have loved to help them. At any rate, he could partake in the killing of some droids. Destroying things was something the Wookiee enjoyed thoroughly.

Preef merely shook his head, "More of a 'shine rodian." He sat rather comfortably, wearing his rather new armor with his rather infamous blaster in its holster. Yet despite it all he felt rather uncertain about this whole affair. Maybe he didn't like the fact a droid was flying the ship or another droid doing some sneaking around. He had the opportunity to look into 'Naxa' between their first meeting and the heist and what he read had surprised him. The droid was part-time hunter, part-time heister and full-time head of security for some small medicinal research company. Morata Corp lingered in that part of the Rodian's brain where the people he didn't like usually were. It felt like a perfectly fine and legal corporation, perhaps a bit small, but then its head of security was a droid that enjoyed robbing the Intergalactic Banking Clan? Was the entire company just a synth-spice front operating right under Five Syndicate nose without paying Preef a cut of the profits?

Perhaps he'd have an enforcer look into them once he got back on Nar Shaddaa. First things first, though, and Preef snapped back to the present and grabbed the mag pads. "Let's get this over with." At least he could trust Tacitus and Konn. They were both members of his syndicate, his family even, and would no doubt help him prove or disprove his suspicions.

Undisturbed and undiscovered, the droid watched time go by. The shuttle was flying through the Mygeeto clouds and away from the starport with N4-X4 stowed away onboard. Opening the unlocked container from the inside, the crate opened a crack as it broke the seal. The sound of the air travel and engines to mask the miniscule noise. If someone were watching the droid it would seem like someone had put a mute on the commando droid.

Inside the shuttle was tight space but that was expected. The droid moved past the payday that was in the other crates. Movement towards the ship told him the guards were seated towards the door. Letting the container door drop brought some curiosity from one of the guards. Naxa moved around the crates in a crouched position until the two guards were separated. Both were unceremoniously stunned by the droid in the following moments. Then the droid was alone in the cargo hold of the shuttle.

Using the other encrypted channel, he sent a message to the others. "I'm onboard. Cargo security neutralized. Moving to take control of the cockpit." It would give them an idea of whether or not they were on time or needed to put some pedal to the metal. The droid pulled out its personav again to check it before switching out for the droid's port scanner and security spike. Connecting the tools to the lock on the door would take only a moment.

Once connected the port scanner began working its way through. The security spike however sparked and almost instantly began curling smoke. The droid looked at it and knew what that likely meant. There were voices on the other side of the cockpit door. A his and a secondary door closed. "Time table has accelerated." Looking back at the crates and the rear end of the shuttle, the droid could still try to dump the cargo and have them try to recover it later. The security spike and the port scanner were both toast leaving Naxa only with its more brute force methods. Thankfully it was a droid and did not feel panic.

Alright so the droid was onboard and the cargo security was no longer an issue - that was half of the fun part done entirely. Tacitus tucked the flask back away and shook his head at Konn.

"Afraid not, Konn."
he admitted before raising an eyebrow at Preef's own preference before shrugging a little bit, "Might have to start stocking it. Ain't had much call for it before..."

Time table accelerated?

Tch.

Droid speak for 'shrak hit the fan'.

"Konn get that pilot droid to step on it."
he advised as he prepped his jetboots for a short and controlled flight, "Bring us down into the lanes as quick as you can. Boss and I can take a rougher landing than we were expecting."

They probably could - what was the worst that could happen?

Konn nodded as he rushed into the cockpit. The Wookiee sat down beside the droid in the co-pilots seat and he ordered the droid to fly quicker. The ship would increase it’s speed at a moment’s notice. The ship was now flying through the sky quickly, soon they’d be at the ship they were going to attack and board. Konn watched as buildings and other ships zoomed past. Or at least, their ship zoomed past. The cargo ship was now in site. Konn nodded and quickly left the cockpit to tell the two. Raising his translator to his mouth he cleared his throat.

“We’re almost in line with the ship, get ready.”

Konn said before turning and going back in to the cockpit. The ship came in line with the cargo ship fast, now was the time for his accomplices to board the cargo ship. Soon, Konn would have to man the guns and shoot down vulture class ships and whatever else comes their way.

Things weren't going as planned and while Tacitus and the wookiee seemed to panic just a little, Preef could be seen smiling. It had been too long since the rodian had seen some proper action. The defense on Sullust had been more like a leisure activity and so had both the events on Kessel and Nar Shaddaa. It sounded like that would finally change a little..

His jetboots prepped and holding the mag pads tight, Preef opened the side-door and looked at their target shuttle, "Doesn't seem like the droid managed to open a door for us," he shook his head. He got a bad vibe from that droid from the start and if this was all just an elaborate scheme to collect on the bounty of the infamous Preef Callo then the rodian would be really disappointed. Still, for now they had to stick to the plan even if the droid didn't and once they were close enough the Preef simply jumped out and engaged his jetboots.

Flying was more difficult than one might imagine. If someone had one shorter leg than the other, simply because they were born that way, flying with jetboots was near impossible. The precision needed was like trying to free-fall through a wind-turbine and pass between moving rotors at a speed some sentients couldn't even comprehend.. add moving vehicles to the mix and the whole plan had sounded nice but was trickier than Preef would later like to admit. Ofcourse, for the rodian himself it went off without much issue as he guessed his relative speed correctly and planted his mag pads against the shuttle right next to the door the droid was supposed to open. Disengaging his jetboots, Preef planted his boots against the durasteel hull and turned his head to see how Tacitus was fairing.

This droid better hurry up with that door.

The door to the cockpit was locked tight for the time being. Double blast doors enabled, and with at least a pilot and a copilot on the other side it was going to require some alternative methods of accomplishing his job. "If you have anything for cutting or slicing, bring it with you." It wasn't sure if Preef or the others had jumped onboard. "Or perhaps...intimidation." Preef was well known enough, perhaps he could get the crew to 'shake in their boots' as the carbo

Moving quickly towards the back of the ship, the droid opened its commlink. It was a one way encrypted message meant for @Taldorak Trenessar and @Allegra who should have been given time to be in Mygeeto air space.

> 100K ea upon completion

> Collect Vice Chairman of the Intergalactic Banking Clan

> Deliver to the provided destination

> Package must be delivered with minimal damage and in living condition

> Expect contact only after completion

The young woman Allegra was a suitable pilot for the job. The muscle, a Mandalorian, would be capable of doing the legwork of wrangling the Muun target. Afterwards, the two contractors would be contacted by the droid and then be able to rendezvous and get their payment. It was a simple snatch and dash, at least it should be.

A job for 100 k credits each was a decent pay off and considering the efficiency and lack of 'material desire' that most organics earned, paying the two of them for a kidnap job would be well worth the credits spent as long as they got the Vice Chairman of the IGBC. This was something best suited for a droid and likely why N4-X4 excelled where others failed. It didn't care about pride or greed. It was the right tool for the job. If things still went as the droid planned, all parties included would still walk away with more than they could hope for. But, some meat bags were bound to be disappointing like machines were bound for obsolescence.

The droid engaged its own magnetic feet before opening the manual aft cargo hatch. The ramp, this time just needed a good jolt from the fusion cutter. The whipping wind and cold air would have made a man shiver but Naxa moved to the side and made sure to keep an eye towards the cockpit should the pilots try to open it and respond to the cabin pressure change. "Aft door open" Though it wouldn't be re-sealable without some repair. This was why the droid had considered the wookiee coming onboard. The containers with credits were going to be easier to move onto the flying ship. They needed to be careful or else lose a large portion of the payout from the job to the terrain below.

A lesser woman would have been quaking in her boots at the task ahead. As it was, she was clear-headed, calm, and focused. The ship handled well enough, and with the newly acquired Baby didn't utter more than an occasional chirp once they began piercing the atmosphere. Her head was entirely encased in the helmet and generic mishmash of piloting gear, intended to keep her as anonymous as possible. Even the cloak covered any bits that would give away her anatomy.

This wasn't the first risk gig she was a part of. And really, when it came to gigs like this, the best way to do it was to be as under the radar as possible. The last thing her employer would possibly want was to be noticeable and pinned down by ship security for their target, and she had done her homework like any dutiful grunt would.

The vice chairman was a dirty, dirty little man.

Descending gracefully through the atmosphere, she kept her profile low and her voicebox lower even than that. Nobody knew she was even there.

"We're hitting fast, hitting hard, and soon," the voice rumbled at him as sensors scanned for enemy aircraft or possible droid surveillance activity. That way, if there was opposition they could strike first and zip out of there later. And with identifier tags off, they would just be another smudge on the scanners.

Hopefully, her companion wasn't an itchy trigger finger, but if they had to open fire to acquire their target she'd have no problem striking down a hyperdrive or exhaust port to cut escapes short. And with the distraction of the carrier above being assaulted, eyes were thinner on the ground. The ship began closing in fast, and her hands gripped the controls ever so slightly tighter.

A wide smirk touched her lips at the thought of the payment. Perhaps after this she could finally fly with some decent wings.

The Dha'karta was a beast of majesty, at least in Tal's eyes. The visor would focus on the targeting screen, it was weird having someone else fly -his- ship. But the employer assured him there would be compensation for any damages and well, if she did damage his ship, there was a second hundred k deposit to collect. But that was a whole other concern, right now he was just thinking of all the ways he was going to spoil his lady love back on Coruscant with his ill gotten gains.

Which brought him to his very sudden departure from his home. Big, wielded an axe, and had apparently helped out Tac on an op. Vraes had tracked him all the way to the core so he need to splash elsewhere to throw the big guy off of his scent. So, Mygeeto. Either the target was a chairman or a chancellor, it didn't really matter who or what he was, he had just better have a big hat. Nay, -the- biggest hat on the planet. Employer basically asked 'Hey, you kidnap?' and Tal was definitely down for that. After so much silence, he looked over to his companion. "So.. what are you gonna do with your share?" based on the tone, he was genuinely curious.

He had no idea who or what to call his companion, one thing was for sure to him. As a man who spent a lifetime around heavily armored men and women, he could tell when he was looking at a woman. And he was like eighty five percent positive this was a female, or at least he hoped his eyes weren't that off these days. Internally, however, he decided 'Hey, you' might be their preferred pronoun. As he asked, he gave his weapons the once over. Everything was looking sexy, especially him. He activated a small holo-locket, it was something green and lude with a vibrant purple. He held it off to the side so some of it was partially visible. Kad this silence was really killing him. His finger would tap on the locket as he glanced over at the pilot. There was something about that vocabulator..

Tacitus followed after Preef, leaping into a freefall toward the target. Activating his jetboots, Tacitus swore a little bit under his breath as he corkscrewed slightly in his descent. It wasn’t anything that he couldn’t adjust for but it was absolutely terrifying to be in freefall, knowing that he was arcing out of control.

Still, he adjusted for it, using his leg muscles to pull himself back on track and into a straighter flight path than he had been on just before. Still, his landing was far less smooth than Preef’s own, complete with him almost botching the landing entirely. It was only with a hand grabbing a slightly protruding section of hull that allowed him to activate his magboots.

And he was safe.

The adrenaline from the whole thing meant that his heart was racing, his dick was hard and he felt like he wanted to throw up. Still, he had landed and the back ramp was opening. His com-link for this mission was attached to his helmet so he contacted Preef rather than shouting over the atmo.

“Boss – aft ramp is low!”

Making his way over the hull of the ship carefully using his magboots, Tacitus would swing into the ship from above the aft-ramp. Landing with a thud, his magboots would connect him to the metal floor.

“What’s the word, Naxa?”

After spotting Preef and Tacitus land on their target, Konn ordered the pilot droid to bring the ship back a bit. The ship slowed down and got in behind their target, waiting for the response of any vulture droids. Konn spotted Naxa at the cargo hold with the credits. The Wookiee grumbled lowly as the ship was being flown. Did the droid need some extra help? Konn picked up his comms and would send out a message to the droid and their partners. Although he’d be speaking in Shryiiwook so Tacitus and Preef probably wouldn’t understand.

“Do you need me to move the ship so you can get the cargo in the hold?”

He said, waiting for the response from Naxa. The Wookiee was a bit frustrated that things hadn’t gone to plan, he was meant to be gunning down a load of Vulture droids and acting as a distraction. Hopefully they could get away with the credits without any more faults or problems. Konn expected that he’d have to fly the ship to some extent, the pilot droid may not have the precision flying skills to swing the ship around and keep it in line with the target ship. Not that Konn would be any better anyways, he wasn’t that much of a pilot.

When confirmation of the opened door came in, Preef moved the magpads a little closer and swung inside the shuttle after Tacitus. Instead of standing on the ramp, however, the rodian used his jetboots to move straight up into the shuttle to an area where he didn't need magboots to be able to keep steady. In doing so he flew passed the droid and the payday and was soon staring at the door to the cockpit, fried panel and everything. "Kriff," Preef investigated the fried panel and shook his head, "We're not gonna get through this thing unless you packing a lightsaber."

Something stunk about this job. If the door was fried then their plan was karked and yet the droid didn't bother telling them not to jump. Preef turned to Tacitus, "Check the crates." The rodian in turn went towards the two guards and checked their belongings to find some stun pistols but no special access codes or comm links. Cheap muscle the IGBC clearly didn't trust.. smart. Preef was beginning to realize that they only had one option left and that was to simply toss the crates out. Unfortunately, if the intel about those attack drones was right, then there was no way they could pick them up from the ground without meeting heavy resistance.

Suddenly the shuttle began moving erratically and the rodian was forced to grab onto the nearest mag-sealed crate or he'd be swung around like a rag-doll. Soon after the shuttle's nose went up for an almost vertical climb and Preef watched as the two unconscious guards first collided with other mag-sealed crates and then fell off and towards the open ramp. Apparently whoever piloted this thing didn't care if his own men were thrown out together with the attempted hijackers. "Tacitus! Watch out!"

"Correction. I have an alternative." The droid said flatly despite the incline. Its legs compensated and its limber movements expecting the evasive manuevrs sooner or later. It had taken it a moment to come up with the alternative method. But the specifications it recalled regarding their accompanying ship came to the commando. "Grab a crate and move it as close to either bulkhead as far as you can. And then..." The droid said as it moved some of the credits to the side, following its own direction. "...Get behind them." Moving behind one of the crates and opening of the ramps made the line of sight for Konn directly visible with the door the cockpit led to.

They could leave the ship and avoid risking getting shot out down with the shuttle. But then they would need to jump back and N4-X4 didn't have jetboots. The others had also had their confidence in the Wookiee's piloting skills enough to have him as the wheel-wookiee. Hopefully Konn was also a good shot with the ship's weapons. "Konn...fire a singular burst on my mark through the inside of the ship." The droid summersaulted over a crate as if it were skipping over a crack on the pavement and put the crate of high monotary value between itself and the rest of the ship. "Mark." If the wookiee hit, the door would be blasted open and allow the hijackers to take control of the shuttle. There was no guarantee the pilot and co-pilot would be taken out though. The shuttle had been internally reinforced to deal with it. But if the wookiee messed up, well things could end up with a high speed drop and a quick stop.

The shuttle veered to the right for just two seconds and then took a dive for eight. Preef felt the noodles he had a few hours ago moving back up to his throat as he desperately clung to one of the mag-sealed crates. Meanwhile Naxa was saying shit about moving crates? "You're kriffing mad!?" the rodian cried as the shuttle went upwards again. All he could do was hold on for his life right now and this droid... wait, what did he just..

Grabbing his comlink, Preef made sure it was close to his mouth so everyone could understand him clear as kriff-karking day. "No, you won't!" he shouted through the link and cast a bewildered and angry look at the droid, "No one can make that kriffing shot! You focus on the fighter drones that are supposed to come our way" There was a line. An order or action that made you lose all confidence and trust in a fellow crewmember, one where if said member is the leader of the heist they're swiftly replaced with someone who had more experience or didn't come up with crazy ass ideas that could kill them all. This was that moment.

"Tacitus, release the mag-seals on the crates." the rodian was taking point now and it was clear he wanted to toss them all out. Releasing the mag-seals meant the crates themselves would be thrown out of the shuttle just like those two unconscious guards had been. Retrieving them on the ground would be a nightmare and perhaps impossible, but it was the only realistic shot they had left. Preef punched some buttons on the crate he was holding on to and disengaged its magnetic lock, causing it to slide towards the ramp almost immediately as the shuttle went into an ever steeper climb.

He then jumped towards the next crate and did the same thing, but this time he held on as the crate moved back and then sideways as the shuttle's pilot veered the ship left and horizontal. For a moment Preef and the crate he was holding on paused near the droid (@Darasuum) and with his infamous speed, Preef grabbed his blaster and fired a shot at the droid's hips. He intended to incapacitate it and didn't care if the droid would give him up when the IGBC sliced into its memories. The second after he pulled the trigger, the shuttle made another steep incline and Preef and his crate slid across the ramp and into the air.

She kept silent for a moment as the man casually asked about her plans with the credits. At first, she kept silent, minding keeping an ear out for any trouble. When at last she spoke, her voice was deadpan. "I'm saving up for ship improvements," came the low, buzzed reply. It was a simple enough statement. Speaking of simple, there seemed to be minimal eyes on the ground; something must be distracting their quarry.

Time to strike.

"Man the ramp, I'll drop you off topside," she muttered. "They're gonna make a break for it soon as you hit; make it quick and be out in five."

The implication being if he failed to capture their quarry she would as they would escape. And while he would be busy making a swift way into the building, she would be striking from above. Vulture droids were everywhere, and if you weren't careful you could be buzzed apart in a matter of minutes.

The estate was in sight now. Some voice pinged in on the comms, but she ignored it for now. It began demanding, and she shut it off.

"Be ready."

The moment he would be at the ramp and prepared to jump, she'd release the ramp. They had precious seconds before he would clear the ship. Seconds that meant the ship was vulnerable. Once he was clear she'd close the ramp and maneuver it up, prepping to strike directly at the estate itself.

Small, panicked faces appeared in the viewports. Time was ticking now. She smiled grimly as cannons prepped for the task ahead.

A low, amused voice hummed within the helmet. It was a thankless job, but somebody had to do it.

"Ship improvements." he'd muse after she spoke. "It'll be one helluva ship, hopefully." He leaned forward as pocketed the locket. "Be home soon, babe."

At her instructions, he rose to his feet and headed for the ramp, his dc-17x at the ready. He spent most of the trip over studying blueprints of the compound and figuring out where. "You know where to hit. I'll be ready in less then five. Close the moment I jump!" was all he said. He would move long before the ramp was even halfway open, diving through the small breach and free-falling for several moments before he activated his jetpack.

As he hit the deck, he'd crouch low, setting up detonators as he went. Practiced steps would guide him through the terrace courtyard, first guard he saw had his back to him. Tal moved in quick, slinging the rifle and pulling his dagger, he slit the mans throat before he had a chance to activate the comm, and then tucked the corpse into one of the bushes. One hand would hold the comm, while the dagger was sheathed and his peacemaker was drawn. So far, so good.

Up above he could see his beautiful ship getting ready to take part in a magical ballad of death and destruction.

This whole thing was getting more karked by the second.

It’d started going further downhill when one of the loose guards slammed into his left shoulder and he was bent over from the blow. His magboots grounded him to the ship’s floor but that just meant that he took all of the weight and energy from the flying man to his shoulder. Honestly his left shoulder hurt like hell but then shrak got worse.

Blast the inside of a ship they were in? Oh hell no!

Tacitus gritted his teeth and threw himself to one side of the cargo bay just in case Konn attempted to make the shot anyway. Thankfully Preef seemed to be just as quick as all the stories said he was because he made an executive decision to not endanger all of their lives with a ship-based laser shot.

“Gotcha boss!”

He wasn’t exactly afforded the luxury of time to unlock the maglocks the proper way so Tacitus drew his pistol and started blasting the locks away. In meant that he could stand slightly further away so when they started skidding around he had a chance to move out of the way to let them slide all the way out of the ship instead.

Hearing a blaster shot that wasn’t his own, Tacitus whipped round to see what was going on in time to see Preef draw his pistol. Shooting the droid? Considering what the droid had just tried to order, Tacitus wasn’t really sympathetic.

A lack of faith and obvious signs of frustration were both heard and seen by the droid. If the droid could feel pity, it would have felt it for organics. But their desire for self preservation was outweighing their motivation for success. The outright refusal was enough for the droid to adjust its reactions in the following moments. The droid would have mentioned a 13% chance of hitting the mark, and the associated percentages but that would have only increased the blood pressure of the other heist members rather than keep them calm and focused.

With N4-X4's body moving over the crate and out of sight from the others, it had prepared just in case the wookiee still wanted to risk firing. The droid heard the blaster fire from Tacitus and the flash lighting up the enclosed ship. The droid deftly moved around the crate that BXs had been known for and Naxa was a well oiled machine. Leaping 'up', the droid would find its feet already angled to meet the ceiling of the compartment since the aft of the ship was now facing the ground. The man fired a bolt that would impact the commando droid in its abdomen. Machines did not tire like organics. The connection to the droid's magnetic feet was lost from the hit making the droid instantly begin to tumble. But it was more than that. The mobility and responsiveness was greatly diminsied. Naxa was injured.

It reached out and grabbed hold of anything, trying to stabilize itself with four points of contact. Dropping down, it fell to the side of the aft entrance. The bulkhead of the compartment acting as the floor and only thing keeping the droid from falling out of the ship.

The others were already on borrowed time and if they wanted to try and 'cross off the droid' it would be logical, though not without its consequences. It's plain photoreceptors were dimed moreso than usual but the The droid did its best to focus solely on dodging any further attacks and remain inside the shuttle until the others abandoned N4-X4 in the shuttle. The evasive maneuvers the pilots had been taking would level out more once the vulture droid response fighters would eventually arrive. But by then it would likely mean the others had left without the droid. Naxa needed to make some new calculations.
