Silently and swiftly an ashen grey haired figure, made her way through the quiet streets of Bruit, Genian. Her movements being unhindered by the few other pedestrians that traversed the streets tending to their daily business, the figure although dressed in pretty much the same attire as the locals, did to a degree stand out amongst the crowd, mostly due to the partially braided state of the figure's long dark flowing locks of hair overlapping the drawn down hood of her cloak, although many who passed by seldom noticed the outlandish appearance of the woman, there were a few who cast a curious secondary glance as she walked past.

Genian although being located within the mid rim, still carried the same air of prosperity that would often be found on such planets as Serreno and Coruscant, it's rich reputation forged by numerous research labs, corporate holdings and secure banks that were built upon and grew from the somewhat dry and mountainous desert regions that surrounded the capital city of Bruit. Yet it was not because of the appeal of prosperity that had drawn the figure to walk alone in the dusty streets, something far more sinister had brought her away from her current planet of residence.

There had been numerous reports of the 'mindbreakers' spreading throughout the galaxy, the more recent of which had been a reported incident of a Jedi knight being openly attacked within the city, which had been a significant cause for alarm, especially when there had been no reports of the still barely understood galactic threat having reached this far within the middle systems, given that the planet of Genian was relatively close to the boarders of the Core regions, it was of great concern for the small fraction of the Galaxy's many organisations vying for power, to further investigate the incident, and the Force willing locate the mindbreaker sooner rather than later, before the unknown assailant would have the opportunity to enact what ever purpose had brought it here.

This was of course why the council concluded that the best course of action would be to dispatch an experienced member of the Order. The task at hand fell upon Eisa, for not only over what must be coming up to two decades of serving within the Jedi Order, after being one of the first new generation of students to become Jedi. She had valuable experience in seemingly being able to infiltrating and gather information on a desired subject without arising any undue attention to herself, mostly in part to her upbringing as a space brat. Having for years on end travelled from one planet to the other as part of the crew aboard her Father's freighter.

Silently pacing through the lesser maintained streets of the Bruit city outskirts, the Jedi's emerald hued eyes narrowed as a faint tremor in the Force touched upon her senses, either there was someone who was force sensitive near by who was not strongly in tune with the Force, or that whomever presence she had detected was masking themselves so not to be detected. Knowing that this was perhaps an opportunity to either find and deal with the mysterious threat that had made
its presence known on Genian, or perhaps another potential addition to the Jedi ranks. Deep down however Eisa hoped that it would be the first possibility, as it had been a fair while since she had been charged with training a Padawan.

Knowing that such an opportunity was few and far between, Eisa unmasked her Force signature, allowing her aura to flood the immediate area, knowing that such a sudden surge in concentrated Force energy would be more than enough to lure out even the most focused of those enslaved to what many had suspected to be a hive mind of sorts. Slowly and casually a partially gloved hand slipped between the folds of her robes, bare fingers caressing the smooth polished metal of the concealed lightsaber, knowing that if it was the mindbreaker that she had sensed near by, then it was inevitable that the blades of her lightsaber would once again burn with energy.

Though deep down she wished that it would not come to that, hoping that the faint ripple in the Force was just someone who was sensitive to it. Perhaps time will ultimately tell, especially with such a powerful and lingering presence that the Jedi held within the Force, it would only be natural that it would draw those attuned to the Force to Eisa's position. For now she would wait and see who would appear.

Mavise had finally been able to get away from her parents for the first time in months. Ever since they'd sat her down and told her what was so special about her--no, it wasn't the sparkling personality--they'd kept her close. Like they thought she was going to run away or something. Well, now that they'd decided to assume the worst, she was definitely going to entertain their imaginations. She'd gotten a chance to sneak out while they were on a trip...wherever this place happened to be. Genie? General? Genian? It reeked of all the middle class prosperity that she rarely saw save for in the wealthier districts of Melder.

She gave herself about an hour before her parents would really start to worry. Last she heard they were out on a date or something. Anniversary, celebration, whatever the heck it happened to be. She got to stay home, on the condition that she called or sent a message every now and then from the rented room. So yeah. An hour till they started to freak out. Which gave her plenty of time to enjoy herself on the streets. Relatively quiet, all things considered. The store fronts had some interesting additions that her eyes had danced over. Nothing that she would really want to buy--her vibrant and colorful clothing was enough for this trip and she didn't want any more questions when she got home.

Suddenly, however, something nagged at her. Something pulling at her head, like that feeling you get when you see something familiar but...not quite. She stopped in her tracks and looked around, before her mind fed her imagination and she heard a nonexistent clatter in an alley. In all honesty, it was pure coincidence, but the brain likes to trick and deceive when it is influenced, however subtly. Mavie quickly took a few steps down the alleyway, looking down at a pot quietly rolling back and forth on the ground. She immediately took a few more steps forward. Cautiously.

"H-hello? Is...there s..omeone there?"

Her young voice said this quietly. Not so loud. Would hate to attract attention from the street. Probably just a stray cat or something. A few more steps into the alley. She was a teenager now--sixteen--plenty old enough to handle herself, after all. Plus, some said she had quite the loud voice if she needed to get loud. Genian wasn't known for its mugging population...right?

Narrowing her eyes, the Jedi took a deep breath before drawing her eyes to a close. The presence in the Force she had felt earlier was drawing close, the person that the Force was radiating from was moving slowly and cautiously. A curious thought, the unknown person was clearly sensitive to the Force - having been attracted to the presence that the Jedi was radiating. But then again it could just as easily be a Sith or a 'mind breaker' cautiously stalking it's would be target, time will ultimately tell.

And no sooner than the approaching presence drew close, so did a light voice - tentatively calling out down the alleyway to see whether there was anyone there. Pursing her lips in thought, the Jedi slowly opened her eyes. Clearly this wasn't a Sith come to try and claim some glory by taking down a Jedi, they tended to be alot more direct and forth coming. Taking a deep breath Eisa reached out through the Force towards the new arrival, subtly sensing the presence, guaging their alignment with the Force. But for all she could sense through the Force was a pure fledgling presence, something that either could be a deceptive ploy by someone skilled enough to manipulate how their aura radiates, or the simple fact that the Jedi was reading too much into things and that the young voice that spoke out moments ago was that of a young girl.

Rather than dwelling on the possibilities, Eisa figured it would just be best to put an end to the speculation and find out for herself. "Hello" Eisa responded, calling out through a calm tone, before the sound of foot steps rang out through the alleyway. Slowly the young teen came into the Jedi's view, a light smile crossing her features as her emerald hued eyes panned over the brightly dressed youth. It was like looking into a mirror from several decades past, the young girl seemed to bare a resemblance to the vibrant choice in style that the Jedi herself once had presented herself in during her own teenage years - baring the brightly dyed hair of course.

"Are you lost?" Eisa questioned as she slowly paced towards the youth, her arms and hands falling to her side, presenting a neutral non threatening stance. Last thing she wanted to do was spook the young girl, especially one who was attuned to the Force. "what brings you out to a place like this?" the Jedi enquired, although she knew fine well what the answer was. The Force had brought the young girl to this alleyway, but she wanted to hear through the girls own words and explanation as to what had brought her towards the Jedi. There was a potential within the young girl, one that Eisa would help realise, if Mavise was willing! But knowing from her own experience, becoming aware of the Force was a life shattering change, something that she wanted to broach with caution.

Empty. Maybe it was an alley cat or something. She was about to turn her back, outright leave. No sense wasting her free hour looking for stray animals. She let out a dry scoff and then took a step away before jumping at the sudden voice. Her hand shot to her chest as steps came around the corner and Mavie got ready to run. But something stopped her...she just didn't know what. Her nerves calmed slightly and she steadied her breathing as a woman came into view. Though her face didn't reveal much, the best description Mavie could put together was...like she was seeing an old picture or something random like that. It didn't exactly reassure her at any rate. I guess I did hear a noise...though this is..an odd coincidence to be frank. Are those...robes?

Oh. Crap. Mystery Woman was speaking. Oh no, she just finished. Damn, what did she say?!

"Uhm...u-uh..I, uh...I-I heard a..noise..."

Her head looked over her shoulder quickly and she took another step back, expression changing from surprise to a little bit of sass and snark, nose wrinkling a little bit as her mouth curled at the edges. She didn't like this at all, much less have the strength to fight off someone looking to steal her clothes and credits.

"I-if you were looking for an easy catch, I'm pretty noisy!"

Mavie took another step back, about to bolt. Though something kept tugging part of her back. She just couldn't place it. Come on Mavie...just run already! She's probably high off spice or something!

The light smile across her features softened a little, as the Jedis eyes watched as the teen back stepped away from her. She could sense the air of panic within the youth, as the emotions of flight or fight ran through her young mind. And, despite those sensations, the deeply hidden reluctance to simply just run and protect herself - kept the youth here. But, for how long?

Despite the softening in the Jedis cheerful expression, she couldn't help but chortle at the declaration that she could be pretty noisy if Eisa attempted to snatch her. The lips of the Jedi widening to reveal the teeth behind her smile, it seemed with the young girl nothing ever changes. The teen was Defiant, bold and quick to proclaim more than what she could understand - whether Mavie, was noisy or not, infront of a fully trained Jedi there would be little chance to scream. Not that it would come to that.

"I'm sure you are, betcha loud enough to get heard over the coruscant traffic right?" Eisa chuckled as the warmth behind her cheerful demeanor slowly crept back. "but rest assured, not looking to mug anyone" she added as she slowly raised her hands into a brief surrender, the shifting in her robes revealing a brief glimpse of the twin lightsabers that hung from the woman's waist. "Just been waiting for someone special to arrive" Eisa continued before furriwing her brow in thought. Ah kriff that undoubtedly would sound worse that what ir was, even though her teenage years seemed no more than half of her lifetime ago, the white haired Jedi realised that to a teen meeting someone in an alleyway, the words spoken would be enough to set the alarm bells off.

Just how in the blazes did she forget all this? Kriff she was still technically young herself, despite the the premature colour loss of her hair. Ah well, if the girl would be looking to bolt she would have done so at this point. The Force despite the claim she had heard a noise, had brought the young teen here. And, it was the Force that had kept her from running, perhaps just a subtle use of the Force would reveal weather the teen was fully aware?

"Well take care, young one" Eisa spoke out to Mavie, as she gently bowed her head towards the teen. The energies of the Force was building within her hand, that was passively hanging by her side. A slight twitch crept over the Jedis hand, as she agitated the currents of the Force, creating an echoing sound of water dripping into a pool. The sound wouldn't be audible to any one through their conventional sense of hearing, rather it would be sensed through the Force, even the most reluctant of Force Sensitives would be able to hear it and piece things together. "you best scoot on" Eisa added before pausing a moment, even if this young girl wasn't going to stay, the least she could do was offer a brief bit of advice. "but before you go, little word of to the wise, if you are going to go wandering into an alleyway, please make sure you've got a blaster pistol on you! Not everyone is going to be a shortass like me" Eisa spoke, as a light grin crossed her features as she shared a bit of candid advice. Knowing the purpose was two fold, firstly to ensure that the young girl kept herself safe, but secondly to make it clear that the dripping sound was not an audible one.

The laugh only made her confidence wane, by quite a large margin. Even in her clothes, her shoulders visibly slumped and her expression went neutral. An eye roll later, she looked back at the mysterious, short woman and crossed her arms below her chest, letting out a loud sigh. For a common criminal she was being rather talkative. Very talkative. Again, a weird sense of looking in a mirror fell over her. Of course, that mirror would need to be pretty distorted if she was going to be Ash-head's height. The shift in the robes brought her eyes to attention and she thought she saw something shiny and--stick-ey. Baton? Shock stick?

"Not...trying to mug anyone? S-special? L-lady, that's not helping your case."

Well it was clear that whoever Ash here was knew she'd slipped up in her speech. That didn't sound shady at all or anything! Another half step back and she slipped on some junk she'd dodged on the way in, recovering quickly despite her initial clumsiness with a sharp yelp. Just some balance lost. No issue. She shook slightly from the sudden jolt but was otherwise okay. But then...something else. Water? No, it was dry as a desert here. "Oh no, what's going on now? Something spring a leak? Gasoline? Sewage? Worse? But even as Ashy kept talking, the sound was something else. It wasn't a sound, but it was. Her eyes danced on the walls as she froze. Eisa's voice faded out quite a little bit as her mind focused on whatever that was. Oh no...not that, not now...in the city! My parents are going to be pissed..even more than before...

It slowly started clicking, but not really. Mavie was having one of those attacks again. She needed to breathe, find somewhere quite or else--

At this point she was hyperventilating from all the stuff happening. Tended to happen to a kid who didn't know how 'special' they were until very recently. Her eyes locked onto the woman.

"You're...you're a..."

Her vision blacked as her legs buckled. Red jacket was at risk of severe staining.

The light grin over the older female's features softened, as the young girl appeared to get into a panic. The look slowly morphing into that of concern, was Eisa pushing things too far? Surely not, she was only creating light ripples in the Force, it wasn't as if she had unleashed her full aura infront of the girl. No, this was something completely different, the girl seemed to have a fear of the Force. Curious. It was unusual that Force sensitives were afraid of their latent gifts, most were un aware of their abilities, often attributing it to being a sixth sense of sorts. There were a few that were understandably afraid of their abilities, especially if they had manifested out of the blue in a moment of panic, unwittingly unleashing a Force based attack.

Still, there was little time now for Eisa to dwell on the curious reaction to the Force ripples being displayed by the teenager. The initial state of panic appeared to be escalating quickly into a fully blown panic attack, she could sense the increase in breathing and heart rate coming from the teenager. Then on wobbly feet the young teen stammered out a partial realisation, reaching out through the Force Eisa wrapped the tendrils of energies around the young girl, and gently manipulated the force to catch and support the teen, keeping her levitating over the floor as if she was sat on a recliner.

Taking a few steps closer, Eisa slowly looked over the teen. A kindly smile crossing her features, as she nodded in confirmation of the un aired realisation. "A Jedi, Yes" Eisa spoke out softly, before kneeling to the side of where the Force was supporting the teen. "I am Eisa Swan, knight of the Jedi Order" she offered as she held her hand against her chest and lowered her upper body into a slight bow, her bright emerald hued eyes, locking with the youth's own. "And you are sensitive to the Force?" Eisa spoke out, though it sounded more a statement than a question.

A pensive look crossed the Jedi's features as her mind started to dwell on the earlier episode. "But i'm curious" Eisa admitted, as she used the Force to help Mavie back onto her feet. "You appear to be aware of the Force, but you seemed to be afraid of your gifts" she continued as she raised herself back up to her full height. "is there any reason why that is?" the Jedi enquired as she folded her hands over her lap.

Mavise thought she was going to hit the ground--at least, her brain told her she was supposed to be hitting hard pavement. But she didn't. She stopped, wasn't falling, but nothing like ground was holding her up. As her vision slowly returned, her body instinctively tried to catch itself--despite being completely safe. With arms and legs flailing for no reason, it was probably quite the comical sight, if the story behind it weren't so worrying. She shook her head and then looked around at the ground, suddenly very confused. Floating. But--oh, her. No, no this is very bad. Mavie took in a few deep breaths as she tried to calm her racing heart, the Jedi approaching.

She looked right at the woman, the shift in her weight causing her brain to try and catch itself again, but being stifled much quicker. The woman introduced herself as Eisa Swan, Jedi Knight. Which was trouble. It might have been better if a Sith was here--especially since the Jedi were technically criminals. Her breath was still shaky even as she tried to find words to say. Sensitive? "Y-yeah. Yeah. Mhm." The position Mavie was in was still messing with her brain, though the butterflies in her stomach were subsiding. That is, until she got pushed up back onto her feet and nearly fell again, catching her balance and going to try and take a few steps away from the telekinetic freak who just tossed her around like a doll.

But she was speaking. Wondering why Mavie was so afraid. Oh, there are plenty of reasons. "Uhm. Uh..bad things happen to...'gifted' people. Sith and stuff. You guys, uh, too. Parents told me all about why the Force is bad. Only screwed up things for everyone else." She glanced around nervously, as though her parents or some kind of police officer were about to round the corner and arrest her, lock her up for good. "So I need to lay low. Don't attract attention, don't get trouble. See where that's got me, hm? Oh, my parents must be angry...or worse..." Leaning against a wall and putting her head in her hands. "What...what do you want?"

The Ash haired Jedis features softened as the young girl voices her reasons for being so wary about the Force, her heart seemed to grow heavy with the sentiment that was being aired. The young girl appeared to have been raised by those who despised those who were attuned to the Force, part of her could understand and sympathise with the viewpoint of the Forcephobic. Until her late teens the only thing she knew was that the only Force users that existed were the Sith, as well as that in her childhood she had been 'tested' by the Republica but deemed to not be good enough to warrant going into their schooling programme.

A long sigh escaped the ashen haired woman. As the young girl finished saying her piece, before posing the question of what it was she wanted. The girl was extremely gittery and nervous about the whole ordeal, as if she was committing a taboo act by even thinking about the Force.

"Don't want anything at all" Eisa remarked simply, after all she had traveled to this city for an entirely different reason, to have encountered a girl with such potential, by chance and mirrioring how it came to pass that Eisa herself took her first steps as a Jedi. It seemed ironic, given that depsite all the similarities, they were in a city and not in the middle of a desert. "Truth be told, I'm here to track down a very dangerous individual. Meeting you here is.... by chance" Eisa continued before trailing off, figuring it would be best to say their encounter was not the will of the Force.

"but I would only wish to ask, is that how you truly feel about the Force?" the Knight enquired after a brief silence, she figured that the young girls view of the Force and its welders was skewed by her parents - she was interested to know what the girl thought her self. But before that, Eisa felt that perhaps if she offered an opposing view then perhaps it would allow the young girl to see the other side of the coin.

"but I understand" Eisa spoke out initially before pursing her lips in thought "Force users, like the Sith and even the Jedi have been known to use their abilities to inflict harm and devistation upon those who can't defend against their powers. I cannot deny that" she continued, knowing that there was no point in trying to spin favour, if any thing the young girl deserved not to be pandered to or treated like a fool. "but they are only a few, though their actions speak enough to breed mistrust. There have been lives that have been affected for the worse, yet there has also been lives made for the better" she continued before pausing momentarily to, roll up one of her sleeves, revealing an array of pale pitted scars over her arm. "each one of these are a reminder of my actions, the wounds I've sustained fighting to save the lives of those I swore to protect. From freeing slaves to ensuring medical supplies made it to their destination rather than be stolen by raiders to sell at a profit" the ashen haired woman explained as she pointed out the faded burn scars from the many blaster wounds she had incurred over the decades.

"it might not mean much in the scheme of things, but those are the consequences of my actions. And, I bare them with pride because I did and stood by what I felt was right" Eisa resumed as she lowered the raised sleeve back down. "but if I can pose you another question; Would you truly judge someone because of what they represent? Would you regard all humans from Manaan in the same way because a few carried out the senseless slaughter of a native selkath colony? What about all manalorians over a tribe that wiped out countless lives in the wake of their crusade to rule the galaxy.?" the Jedi posed, hoping that the young girl would understand where she was coming from, just because a handful of individuals would do heinous acts, it didn't mean everyone else was like them.

Taking a deep breath, the Jedi reached into a pocket of her robes, and retrieved a hair band, her emerald hued eyes looking upon the young girl whist her hands manipulated her ashen hair into a pony tail. "would you say that you are a bad person? Because you are capable of wielding Force?" Eisa spoke, just throwing the question out there whist she tightened the wrapping of her hairband. "Cos you know the Force is a tool of sorts, it's the choice of its wielder that people will see and remember. Say, if you were able to fully control your abilities, could you ever see yourself doing things that would needlessy harm those around you?"

"Someone dangerous." Mavie let out a cold laugh. "You'll find a lot of those in these alleys. Maybe if you look in a mirror, too."

She stopped herself short, not wanting to push her luck. This woman wasn't like some of the rougher people she'd met--not in terms of how she was acting now, at least. The knowing expression in her eyes was throwing her off, though. She was about to respond to Eisa's first question before the woman began to go a little into her history. And the history of--that. The Force. All the scars on her arm. Her mind told her those scars were a consequence of using her abilities, at least the same part of her mind that told her to stay home when told, do chores when asked. The part of her conscience that followed her parents' rules. Mavie caught it quickly and shut it down. Her eyes were locked onto the scars, still looking at the arm even after the sleeve was long gone. Just trying to contemplate what was being said as she leaned farther against the object holding her up.

She chewed on her lip as her eyes subtly darted around. Truth be told...she wanted to access that part of herself. Else she probably wouldn't have stayed this long. But at the same time, all the stories her parents and friends told her--terrifying. Mavie shifted her weight to one foot and looked up to the high walls of the building across from her. The teenager finally found something to say--at least she hoped it was something to say and not total gibberish.

"I-I like the idea of being able to lift stuff with my mind, or turn invisible, all those stories you hear, you know. But-yes, I could see myself screwing up and getting someone hurt. It's one of my worst fears that...this thing's gonna come out at a bad time and ruin my life. I don't want that, but now you're here and I've already been exposed to more Force stuff than I have for my whole life. I'm holding something back and I feel it now-now that you decided to say hello."

Mavie's expression was one of despair, wiping her eyes clean of what may have been tears. Why was she even talking so much to some Jedi woman she met in an alley? What happened to her carefully honed hostility? It all went down the drain from nowhere.

The bemused look over the Jedis features wained, as the youth moved away from her comment about looking in a mirror to find someone dangerous. It seemed that the young girl had quite a mouth on her, it made the ashen haired female wonder, whether she had been any thing like that when she was a teen. Kriff if she was, she must had been a nightmare for the rebel commanders to deal with.

But the conversation moved away from the near accusationary tone and nature, of the Jedi being part of the galaxies problems, well in accordance to the view points of the teenagers parents at least. It seemed that dispite the biased upbringing, the young girl appeared to have a spark of interest to learn more about the Force. Brief as it was though however, the teen did return back to her state of concern and worry for being exposed as a Force sensitive.

A light sigh escaped, Eisas lips as pursed her lips in thought before, reaching out and placing a gentle hand on the teens shoulder, offering a brief gesture of comfort and reassurance to the young girl. "it's not easy is it?" Eisa spoke out as she retracted her hand and folded it across her waist. "Having this gift, truth be told I only learned of the Force and my connection to it when I was your age" she continued, before a light smile crossed her features. "at the time I was a wandering mechanic, my father and his crew had been captured by the Sith, doing odd jobs on ships to jump from planet to planet, do the odd scavenging job to earn enough to eat. Then like you out of the blue I meet a Jedi Master" the Knight continued, pausing momentarily to rummage through a pouch attached to her belt, retrieving a vessel of food capsules, popping one out and swalling the pill formed nutrient supplement before offering the teen the container.

"When she told me that I was a Force sensitive, it was like the world had shattered around me, like everything you knew was a lie, ya know?" Eisa resumed after a moment had passed for the teen to accept the offer of food, or not "but what was harder was living a double life, when I was learning to control my abilities, no one knew that the Jedi still existed. I was having to lie to my friends and comrades to protect the secret of the Order, and when when the Jedi were revealed, we were treated with mistrust. The mistakes of the events long since past still seemed fresh to the memory" the Knight continued before ending with a light shrug, to fully understand the reasons why people dispised Force users, would be a long winded exercise, kriff it was easier to determine the reason why wookiees hated trandoshians.

A light chuckle passed through the ashen haired woman's lips. "But Kriff, that was a long while ago" she spoke as her bright emerald hued eyes panned over the teen infront of her. "reckoning it was before you were even born" she added before laughing as a hand moved up to cup her temple, it was such a strange thought to think that the lifetime of the young girl infront of her seemed like a blur. "there is one thing I did learn though" Eisa spoke after her chuckles ended with a light groan. "the thing that's most important, it not realising your potential in the Force. But it's being true to yourself" she resumed whilst resting her back against the nearby wall. "We all make mistakes, kriff I've screwed up plenty of times, but we learn from em young one, it helps build us into the people we become. The only thing that can truly ruin your life is giving into your fears and let them rule you" Eisa concluded with her reasoning, before pursing her lips in thought. "I can not and will not force you to explore your connection to the Force, that is not my place nor my desire. But should you wish to learn more about your abilities I would be more than willing to help guide you along that path. But the choice is yours, it is your life, and it is your right to chose how to live it" she offered, as a sincere smile crossed the ashen haired Jedis features.

Mavie flinched slightly at the new hand on her shoulder, not expecting the Jedi to get so touchy, especially this soon. Wait, soon? No, she needed to get those fairy tales out of her head. This was a one time visit. Chance meeting. She never wanted to get involved with Force users again. Period. That was that. Right? Isn't that for the better? Her eyes flicked up slightly once the story got to Eisa's point about her age. The mirror analogy was starting to make a whole lot more sense now in her head...it was like looking at an older version of herself...with the wrong hair color. She gingerly took the capsule and put it in her mouth, eyes finally locking on Eisa's face while the girl attempted to shut off her stupid meltdown. This was a stranger she was currently about to cry in front of. Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. This sucked.

But now she had reached a fork in the road of her life. Mavie knew that. She got the choice this time, thank the stars, but it most definitely was not an easy one. She could keep this path, stay with her parents, live normally, possibly go through the rest of her days running out of things to do. Always knowing she'd turned down something big. Or she could trust some random lady on the street with showing her how to control extremely powerful abilities that she still wasn't sure she wanted to try and use. With her track record, something very bad could happen very easily. Mavie was staring at Eisa, but her mind was elsewhere. Just trying to make a decision while her eyes flicked subtly across her face.

After what was a few moments (which felt more like hours) Mavie spoke. "I...want to learn more. If...if it goes bad, so be it. At least I'll know better. I-I just want to be prepared to keep myself under control. Even now, it's like there's something gnawing at me again. I might slip up if I don't find help. And I'd.."

Another long pause. "I'd rather not get involved with the Empire."

"You and me both" Eisa spoke out in response to the young teen, as a light grin crossed her features. Her emerald hued eyes locking with the young teens briefly before her lips pursed in thought. "I suppose first things first, if you want to learn about the Force, it's best understanding what it is you can feel" the ashen Jedi spoke out before looking around the alley way, trying to see whether there was anything that the pair could sit upon. Whilst the preference would have been using the meditation Chambers on jedha, needs as they say must, and it wasn't as if the young girl would be open to just upping and leaving half way across the galaxy out of the blue.

Eisas gaze fell upon a pair of abandoned wire spools, casting a cautious glance over her surroundings, just to make sure there wasn't anyone watching. With a wave of her hand, the two spools floated towards the two females before setting down infront of them creating a pair of seats. Guesturing for the youth to take a seat, before sitting cross legged upon the other upturned spool.

"right, close your eyes and take a deep breath" Eisa spoke out after the pair had sat down. "Try and clear you mind of all thoughts, let go of your emotions. Now listen, not to my voice, but to your surroundings. You can hear the back ground noise, the passing traffic, the distant sound of a construction site the ambiance of distant chatter right?" she continued to explain before furrowing her brow.

Kriff it had been a while since she had to think about yet alone guide a youngling to feel the Force, it had become second nature over the decades. "Now, listen beyond the sounds that you can hear. Concentrate and reach out for a faint echo of rippling water, focus on it and concentrate only on that sound" the Jedi resumed after a brief pause, her voice a clam and relaxing tone. "now, center your mind on the source of that sound, envision yourself in your mind reaching out towards it, what do you feel?"

Mavise thought for a moment while Eisa suggested some brief lessons to start off with. Yeah, that'd be a good idea, just in case I get a freaking Force heart attack or something. Her eyes shot to the same wire spools that the Jedi had looked to. Then slowly widened as the spools proceeded to levitate and float over to the two of them. Hearing stories about telekinesis was one thing, but actually seeing it was another. She watched in awe while the spools seated themselves, and then mimicked Eisa's position on her own circular seat, looking around slightly.

Once the requests started, she hesitated for a moment, letting herself shudder a little. "Mm...right..eyes shut." Mavie blinked a few times before finally shutting her eyelids, a slow breath entering her nose and exiting her mouth. Her mind kept trying to wander, but she did her best to guide it back. All those sounds could be quite distracting, to be fair. But...there was something just past them. As the Jedi said, just like water. Her eyes fluttered open after a second of effort before she sighed and tried again. Reaching out this time.

Eisa's voice faded from her hearing as the 'ripple of water' entered her ears, her mind. "I...it's there. I feel..." Another pause before she opened her mouth, trying to pick a good word. "Unsteady." A frown appearing slightly as both the anxiety of tapping into the Force and the feeling she was getting from the presence bothered her mind.

A light smile crossed the Fiery haired Jedis features, as she could feel the young girl touch upon the Force, even on the briefest of points at the peripherary of the infinite Energies. Mavie admitted that she could see it, before advising that she felt unsteady. A light chuckle passed the knights lips, it was if she had been looking back at herself as she took her own first steps.

"Good young one" Eisa spoke out, projecting her voice through the Force into the young girls mind, her soft words ringing out as a soft guiding whisper in the teens consciousness. "It will be unsteady at first, the Force resonates with the reflection of your emotions" she continued to advise the girl, whilst continuing to channel the Force through her so she could guide and advise the girl. "it's natural to to be apprehensive at first, feeling something so vast and endless. Like you are standing at the edge of the galaxy and looking in at all of creation" the Jedi resumed, her words offering an insight into the energy that surrounded all life.

"but if you clear your mind, and free yourself, you can see and feel it all, the heart beats of all those around you, the Energies that flow through the smallest of droids, the strain in the leaves of a plant as it moves to reach for the light, the gusts of wind falling in the wake of a creatures wing as it takes flight" Eisa spoke out once again into the teens mind. Her words now carrying as a disembodied voice on the wind. "This is the Force in its natural state, the energy that runs through and binds all, everything in the galaxy, living and material. The Force flows through everything, only those sensitive to the Force would be truly able to feel it." Eisa continued before a pause fell over the young child's mind. "I know it is daunting, believe me, I freaked the kriff out when I first felt it. But once you feel the infinite potential of the Force it is the first step in understanding how to control your gifts, even if you were to wield them...." she continued before a drawn out pause lingered on the air, the Jedi appreciating that the teen may not even wish to explore her abilities. "or choose not to, but as you start recognising its presence and how it flows through you, it will soon become second nature, almost as if you were learning to walk"

Mavie was currently working on comprehending what she was seeing right now. So much...but she had only touched the tip of the iceberg. There was more, she could feel it. So much more. Just needed a small push forward. It was all bright where she was now in whatever part of her mind that was reaching out. This small beginning boosted her confidence a little. Her mind had emptied, and Eisa's words were becoming a dull whisper to her. Maybe it was her affinity for tuning out things she didn't need or want to hear (from years of living with parents), maybe she was just pushing too far too soon.

But there was more. Something else. "It's...getting..dark now. Like-like curtains got drawn over sunlight."

Her breath quickened even as she grew lightheaded. Even this was rather exhausting for her, with a multitude of reasons. Her forced aversion to the abilities and the connection she had to the Force had made it a bit more difficult to do this than what could have been considered normal. Not that she knew this, of course. And the previous anxiety attacks from their various reasons weren't exactly the best for concentrating. She wasn't used to this kind of focus. Homework, putting stuff together, doing chores, all easy. But this? What even was this? And why was she getting a feeling of dread rather than curiosity now?

Her thoughts had wandered to getting back at the souls which harassed her daily back at school, ones who were supposedly family friends. Evidently her parents forgot that Mavie wasn't exactly relatable to THOSE kinds of kids. Snarky, sure, but respectful to a point. She started thinking about all the sweet, sweet revenge she could get if she messed with them with these powers. No, stop, this isn't right...you couldn't even if you want to...no matter how much it hurts. Bad things happen. Real bad things.

"Is-is this normal?" As she fought to keep her focus.

The ashen haired Jedis expression darkened as she could sense the growing swell of resentment rising within the teen, this was troubling, troubling indeed. The girl had seemed to gravitate towards the Darkside, whether it was intentional or not. There was something that was knawing within the girl, feeding the darkness of the corrupted Force Energies. Reaching forwards the Jedi held her hand out towards the teen, extending her mind into the Force and reaching out in the currents of the Force m, focusing in on the young teen.

"careful young one, be mindful of your thoughts and emotions" Eisa spoke out, as an astral projection of herself appeared within the girls mind. "that sensation you feel, the coldness within the shadows" she continued before pausing. "That is the darkside of the Force. There are two sides of the Force, the light which brings rebirth and harmony the natural state of the Force. The darkside however, that brings about death and suffering in its wake. It is a perversion of the natural balance" Eisa explained as her astral form turned to look the young teen directly in the eyes, the shimmering form of the Jedi casting a light green hue that radiated from her, like an aura.

"The darkside of the Force is the tool of the Sith, the use of the corrupting powers of the darkside, whilst if grants its wielder with untold power, it comes at a terrible cost. The more you draw upon it, the more it exacts its balance from you. Many darksiders become shadows of their former selves, some physically others mentally." Eisa resumed after a moments silence to allow the teen to process what she was feeling and hearing. Her brow growing heavy as the Jedi Frowned in thought.

" if you step along this path of developing your bond with the Force, you will be tested by this burden. It isn't the case of being able to wield mystical powers. Every thing you do with the Force has a consequence" Eisa added, before her shimmering astral firm faded out of the teens mind. Slowly she opened her eyes and watched the teenage girl infront of her, intently looking to see what the teen could do, would she stay within her commune with the Force a little longer or would she return her mind back to the present? Whatever the teen would do next, the Jedi anticipated that there were going to be questions.

Mavise felt something else enter her mind the more that she focused on this new 'shadow'. All the sweet revenge she could get...maybe prove her parents wrong about how she was such a mess up. They could have been a whole hell of a lot kinder when they told her their little secret. Instead, they chose the 'we aren't mad, but kind of are' route which had burned an awful fire inside of her for YEARS. Eisa had approached, mentally, trying to guide her away from all this. Right. This is exactly what I don't want, as good of an idea it seems now. Mavie focused her mind back to the Jedi and took a tight grip of the wire spool she sat on, before losing her balance and finally returning out of whatever she had just come from.

The sudden loss of balance gave a shock to her system and she gasped, a hand shooting to her heart while she took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. Her eyes flicked around the alley and then at Eisa, lightly sweating from the exhaustion of a first-time trance like that and the general anxiety from what had just occurred. A few pants and then she wiped a runny nose with a hand, uncrossing her legs. Mavie took a second as she leaned over to look at the ground. Dizzy, exhausted, maybe a soon-to-be bloody nose.

"That was...terrifying. Wh-why am I so dizzy..? Eisa?"
