House of the Rising Sun

500

Ord Mantell sits between Jedi and Sith space as the last stretch of no man's land between the two warring factions. The junkyard world has always been a bastion of criminal activity and with the fall of the Republic the world has only descended into further poverty and mischief. Once a small scale criminal organization known as the Black Sun, the new wave of lawlessness has allowed the pirates, bounty hunters, and slave traders to grow into a real threat to the average citizen of Ord Mantell and the surrounding sector. Effectively, the Black Sun is now the most prominent organization on the planet, with the local government unable to curb, or even in some instances openly supports, the rising syndicate. With the recent alliance with the Hutt Council now firmly within the Jedi Order's grasp, our newfound allies have called on us to aid them in their efforts to quell their up and coming rivals. The Jedi Council has seen this as not only an opportunity to further develop our relation with the Hutts, but also a means of furthering the war effort by encroaching on Sith space. The Black Sun must be stopped if we are to bring law and order back to Ord Mantell, and the planet is vital to securing future war efforts against the sith.

Note: These missions are critical to the Jedi’s war efforts. Please start the mission within 48 hours, and try your best to complete the mission within 2 weeks. If the mission is abandoned or uncompleted this will deeply affect the faction. If you need a replacement partner contact the leadership team. The missions need to be 15 posts long, with multiple paragraphs in the post.

Don't Bring Me Down

One of the main starports under control of the Black Sun Syndicate is a major hub of underground smuggling and a local trade center for black market goods. If we can secure it long enough for local security forces to take control of it, the Black Sun will have a much harder time keeping up with the demand for goods, allowing the Hutts to offer alternative services. Less money in the pockets of the Black Sun dealers and the arrest of many of their most prominent smugglers and pirates will have a long lasting effect on the amount of criminal activity throughout the sector, further limiting the continued growth of the Black Sun Syndicate and showing the way to a more lawful planetary socity. Use whatever means necessary to take control of the starport, just try not to harm any innocent bystanders in the process. Taking as many dealers, traders, and smugglers working for the Black Sun alive as possible is also paramount, as arresting and charging these criminals will give the local government the means to prove itself capable of maintaining the law as well as a means to help disway corruption.

Born to Be Wild

Ord Mantell isn't called a junk world for nothing and there are vast swaths of land covered in the decaying remains of all manner of ships, droids, and other metallic objects. Many honest businesses exist in such junkyard valleys, melting down metals or selling scrap. If we can manage to secure trade agreements with the largest of these businesses, AllScrap Co, we'll be able to further expand our ability to produce more ships for our fleet as well as all manner of necessary equipment for the war effort. The only problem is the Black Sun have been extorting and kidnapping the company's employees for a few years now, and won't let one of their major credit makers go without a fight. Be prepared for anything, as the junkyards are Ord Mantell's version of wild lands, and you never know what might be hidden out there in the ruins of old ships and trash hills. If we are able to secure the security of AllScrap Co employees, we'll be able to begin trade negotiations so try to avoid direct conflict with the Black Sun if possible, we wouldn't want any conflict to cause damage to the AllScrap Co facilities.

You Don't Own Me

One of the most disgusting practices in the entire galaxy, slave trading is a primary cash crop for the Black Sun syndicate, in particular kidnapping the native Mantellian Savrips to sell them as cheap labors. While outlawed on Ord Mantell, the planet's government has been powerless to stop the syndicate as the main slave market lies deep within Black Sun territory, you'll need to find a way in without being noticed and manage to free as many slaves as possible before helping them escape. Local security forces have agreed to stage an air raid to provide enough chaos to secure your success, but be careful, the Black Sun is very watchful of their property. Freeing the Mantellian Savrips might not seem like a large step, but it'll do wonders to increase the quality of life for the locals, as well as make sure the people of Ord Mantell know that the Jedi are not just there to take out the Black Sun and then leave, but that we actually care about their well being.

Emerald, aka Akasha. Link in sig.

EDIT: Since there is so much interest in You Don't Own Me, I'll take Born To Be Wild instead, a junkyard wasteland sounds like an interesting trip.
