BIOGRAPHY

Gamr was nearly six months old, when the Jedi guardians found him. His parents believed that Gamr would have a better life off-world, because prey was scarce, and the majority of the shistavanen looked emaciated. Gamr remembers little of Uvena Prime, or his parents. Except for what the Jedi told him.

Gamr had quite a presence on the battlefield; he was calm, collected and ruthless. A true hunter, so to speak. He had trained since birth, while many of his age had only received basic training. He was still young, but one of the most experienced warriors present during many missions. But this proved to be more of a burden than a blessing. Many of his friends and allies died in the field, simply because they lacked the extensive training they were meant to receive. This bothered him, especially when the anti-jedi sentiment became more and more apparent in the republic he and his fallen comrades had tried to protect for so long.

The tragedy of Ilum scarred him deeply. Their own leader, the grandmaster, had turned against them. Gamr no longer felt obliged to fight this seemingly endless war of shadows. And followed councillor Cadef Sige, together with the remains of the Guardians, to Jedha. Here, he would focus on rebuilding the order, and learn about the force.

PERSONALITY

Gamr once was a gentle and caring person, someone willing to lay down his life for the inhabitants of the galaxy. This changed with the anti-jedi sentiment, and the tragedy of Ilum. It made him somewhat pessimistic and distrusting, but it never touched his loyalty. Gamr is extremely loyal to the Jedi order, and especially to Cadet Sige. Gamr believes that the Jedi should isolate themselves from the galaxy, and simply focus on the guidance of the force. But a part of him still feels the need to protect the lives in the galaxy. This conflict has lead him to avoid crowded areas with innocent beings.

ABILITIES

As a shistavanen, Gamr is slightly stronger and faster than a regular human, but his true strength lies with his senses. Gamr has a keen sense of smell, and can pick up all kinds of sounds. This is both a blessing and a curse, because a flashbang for example, could easily take him out. Other advantages given by his biology are his healing ability and night vision.

Gamr has been trained in the ways of the Jedi since his youth, and has become quite a capable lightsaber duelist, specializing in Makashi and Ataru. As a warrior, he mainly learned to use the force to enhance his strength, speed and senses, but he never learned to absorb energy or heal. Gamr knows he has to focus on a larger aspect of the force, and has started to meditate and learn once again.

Gamr is emotionally conflicted, he feels betrayed by the galaxy and the former grandmaster, and has grown tired of battle. However, he still feels obliged to help the innocent and won't let anyone get hurt if he can do something about it. This makes him very predictable, as he will always value the lives of others over his own.

BIOGRAPHY

Not many planets were known for having Neti on them, but the moon above Ossus happened to be one. The Jedi had found the Neti saplings before they themselves could think, and their growth had been carefully monitored by the Jedi order. Among these saplings was Cerelm, who was quickly taken to Ossus by the Jedi at the age of 10. Here, he would start his Jedi training.

Cerelm proved to be a talented student, he was patient, eager to learn and valued all life equally. His instructors had high expectations of the youngling, and he would not let them down. Cerelm did however not know of the ungoing war, and kept asking why most of his instructors dissappeared. The answer was always the same: "you'll know when you'll become a padawan".

After 15 years of training, he was finally chosen to become a knight's padawan. The knight told Cerelm of the ungoing war, but Cerelm did not understand the concept of war. His master taught him that not everyone believes that the peaceful way, the Jedi way, was the right path to follow. It was something Cerelm experienced first hand, when he tried to resolve a conflict during one of their many missions together.

His master taught him more than that, he learned Celerm new lightsaber techniques, languages and how to pilot a small starfighter. But of course, his training didn't last forever. Cerelm was naive when he started his training, but had grown to be a wise and critical. In short, ready to take become a Jedi knight.

As a knight, Cerelm was immediately sent to aid the order and the republic in the war effort against the exiles. A large group of retreating exiles had been discovered on a planet named Haruun Kal, and a Jedi strike team was sent to eliminate them. Cerelm hoped the battle would end without too much death and violence, but unfortunately for him, history would not remember it that way. The moment the Jedi strike team had set foot on the soil of Haruun Kal, the battle started.

It took three long days before the exiles were beaten. None of them surrendered, and all perished fighting. Only a small group of Jedi survived the battle, and Cerelm was one of the 'lucky' survivors. However, their presence did not go unnoticed. The natives had watched the battle with awe, and saw it as a battle between gods and monsters. At first they were scared, but when the survivors showed signs of weakness and fatigue, the natives attacked.

The ensuing battle was unfair, the natives knew their planet, had camouflage and numbers. The tired Jedi couldn't even defend themselves, and were slaughtered. Cerelm managed to somehow escape the slaughter, and ran as far as he could. He was hard to track, because he essentially was a moving plant. Cerelm deemed himself a coward, and nearly went insane, as the lone survivor trapped in a dangerous jungle. After a week of intense fear, he finally got himself back together.

Cerelm had patience. He had time. He slowly learned to navigate through the jungle, what animals lived where, and through studying the natives, how to stay unnoticed. He meditated, and worked on his connection with the force. He was determined to escape Haruun Kal. Celerm started to stalk the natives, and study their behaviour. Two years passed before it paid off, he had slowly learned their language, and had also gained a basic understanding of their culture. With this information, he devised a plan.

During a tribal meeting of the natives, he appeared out of nowhere, using the force to lift objects with telekinesis, as he used his deep and rasping voice to shout. He proclaimed himself the god of the trees, Anu. This sudden display shocked the natives, who could only kneel and look at the display of the god's power. Cerelm, now going by the name of Anu, demanded to see the remains of the freighter he had originally come in. Namely because the natives had salvaged the signaling devices, without them knowing what they did.

Anu kept up this facade for months, long enough to get the beacons working. Through the beacons, he sent a distress signal. The cry for help seemed to have no results, and when his facade was nearly broken, a transport ship came for him. It took him off world, and he later found his way back to the Jedi temple.

The Jedi order had changed. The order had abolished the rank of padawan, and most jedi had received only minor training. Anu believed this to be a mistake, as the training of his master was the only thing that got him through Haruun Kal. But that was not the only matter he disagreed with. More than ever, was the order a militarized institution. They should be neutral peacekeepers, protectors of life and seekers of knowledge. Not soldiers. But Anu couldn't disobey the council, and reluctantly rejoined the war effort.

30 years of war passed by, during which he lost many friends, including his former master. Anu wanted to do nothing more than put away his lightsaber for good, but that would likely never happen. But when the tragedy of Ilum happened, he finally realized it; the war would never end. The Jedi fought a never ending corruption.

Anu joined the like-minded jedi, and headed for Ossus, which would be their base of operations. The following few years, he would focus on gathering knowledge, and rebuilding what the Jedi once had destroyed.

PERSONALITY

Anu's personality can vary from time to time, as he became somewhat mentally unstable in the many years he fought for the Jedi order. But the traits that define him, are definitely not those of a maniac. Anu is kind, gentle, benevolent and caring, partly because he feels responsible for the suffering of many living beings. Over time, he became increasingly open minded, and learned to carefully consider his options. Far different from the young Cerelm whom would jump on anything that looked like injustice.

The many years of war, especially Haruun Kal and the Tragedy of Ilum are not easy to forget. They are the cause of his mental instability, manifesting itself through a post-traumatic stress disorder. In honor of his fallen friends on Haruun Kal, he goes by the name of Anu. His identity as Anu has proven to be effective against his PTSD, and has turned the nightmare into just one of his many memories. Anu is calculating, protective and wise, but somewhat distant and cautious. Anu has lost most of his naivety, but still remains to be steadfast in his beliefs.

It grieves him to see what has happened to many of his brethren, they have been blinded by their hunt for the exiles. Some of them, including the former grandmaster have even turned or risk falling, simply because they feel the need to protect the galaxy from the exile threat. Anu refrains from hunting or fighting the exiles unless absolutely necessary, and does therefore not work well with jedi shadows.

Anu's rather patient and forgiving, but will do anything in order to protect life. He's a true pacifist, someone who likes to spend his time meditating, researching and learning. But his compassion for all life may turn out to be his greatest flaw, as it makes him predictable and easily lured out.

ABILITIES

While many Neti have proven to be capable shapeshifters, Anu has never been good at using this particular skill. He's not able to control it like his brothers and sisters, but it does happen during various occasions, the most notable being meditation and force hibernation. As a Neti, he had no need for food, a trait which has saved him many times during the war, including Haruun Kal. However, he does need sunlight and water to survive, and is therefore frequently found outdoors.

Anu is a capable lightsaber combatant, although it has never been his primary focus. Anu favors form V and VI, preferring strength and endurance over acrobatics and movability. This has tricked many warriors into believing that he is rather slow, a mistake that usually costs an arm or a leg. Of course, he's not able to keep up with true speed-oriented fighters, and would rather rely on his weight, strength and endurance to cary him through a fight.

The war has certainly changed him, because it forced him to work on lightsaber combat instead of his connection to the force. Anu has the benefit of having been a padawan, unlike the young generation of the Jedi. His master learned him the basics of beast control and telepathy, which are nowadays rarely taught because of the accelerated training. His knowledge of these techniques doesn't go far beyond the basics, as his main focus for the past years have been his force sense and energy manipulation techniques.

Anu is able to enter a state of force hibernation unique to the Neti, and has been developing this ability since his days as a padawan. Waking up from the hibernation trance proves to be quite challenging, as he still relies on a trigger word to wake up, that word being "tree". Those who knew his trigger word have died in the war, and using the technique may therefore result in a permanent hibernation.

For atleast two decades had he managed to hide it and almost overcome it. Haruun Kal left it's scars, he was well aware of that. Even after all these years he could still vividly remember the jungle, the corpses and the slaughter that mission had been. For two decades had he tried to process what happened on that planet and he had actually made good progress. Until Ossus.

The fall of that safe haven had devastated him. The planet had been his home for over 70 years. If he couldn't defend his own home, how he could he possibly be of help to the galaxy? And now, with the recent destruction of Jedha it's temple, his whole world had come crashing down around him. The battle against his own Post-Traumatic-Stress, the one he almost won, was now back to square one. He hyperventilated again, had trouble sleeping and concentrating, experienced nightmares, but those weren't his biggest problems.

Always had the Neti been able to remember every little detail of his deceased friends' faces. But lately, he had trouble remembering them. Or any face, for that matter. Reality no longer felt real and he felt detached from his own thoughts and emotions. It was almost like he watched a movie. He also experienced a great loss of time. There were days which went by without him even noticing. Sometimes he found himself in an entirely different place, with a different form and no clue how he got there. The gaps in his memory bothered him a lot, but the voices were worse. He heard them everywhere; they disrupted his concentration, questioned his actions and had entire discussions with each other. With enough time, he could handle his post-traumatic-stress, but he had no clue how to deal with all the other problems which tormented his mind.

Anu had always feared asking the Jedi healers for help. He didn't want to be seen as incapable of performing the duties of a Jedi Knight thanks to the PTSD, but now he had no choice. He could not handle this alone. Thus, despite him not realy wanting to, he had asked for a mental health assessment.

Seker is one of the many knights who chose the Exiles over the Jedi order. He betrayed his 'friends', in order to search for true power; immortality. But unlike most of his fellow exiles, Seker actually served the Jedi order. It had been part of his life for a long time, and he never felt like he missed something in his life. He was happy, content and above all, at peace in his early years.

The war between the Jedi and Exiles found it's way to many planets, one of those planets being Brentaal. Seker was ten years old when he saw the ships land for the first time, and heard the cries of panic and fear around him. It didn't matter how horrible the coming battle may be, he wanted to see it. And he wasn't the only one watching the spectacle. In fact, many children had gathered to see the two forces fight. Only to be caught in the crossfire. Seker was one of the unfortunate souls who ended up between the forces of light and dark.

While he knew the danger he faced, he couldn't leave the other children to die. His instincts told him to run, but he could never forgive himself if he did. As he stood there, unable to move, he met fate. A girl stood before him, with the same intentions. Together, they would save the other children. But naturally, they didn't stand a chance against the exiles and their armies, or the raging fire. The two children found themselves surrounded by the fire, and knew that their fate had been sealed. Luckily, a group of retreating Jedi found them. They took the two children with them, back to Tython. Both children proved to be force-sensitive, and joined the Jedi order.

Seker and the girl became close friends, often working together during trainings and classes. He expressed an interest in the force, while she was more fond of martial arts and lightsaber combat. Naturally, they helped each other advance in their respective fields of study. Seker learned her about the force, while she learned him lightsaber combat. Their teamwork continued like this, even through their first few years as padawans.

Seker Nergal's past is shrouded in mystery. Rumor goes that he turned his back on the Jedi order after the tragedy of Ilum, but it is unknown why. Seker is rarely seen among the other exiles, only appearing when he absolutely has to. Most of his time is spend in the streets of planets such as Ryloth, Serenno or even Coruscant. Here, he wanders around, simply waiting to see the world burn.

Of course, Seker wasn't always like that. He was a honorable Jedi knight once. A man willing to put down his life to defend the galaxy. He was one of the many guardians who had sworn to push back the exiles once. He fought in many battles together with his fellow guardians. They would use any method necessary to defeat the exiles, because after all, the end justifies the means.

Two years prior to the Tragedy of Ilum, Seker traveled to the archives on Ossus. Naturally, he wasn't allowed to enter the restricted section, so he focused on anything that remotely touched upon the subject of the dark side. He had already begun to reject certain parts of the Jedi philosophy, when the council ordered the guardians to defend Ilum.

The harsh condition on Ilum made it hard for him to fight. It disrupted his focus, and the combined cold of the dark side and the climate prevented him from tapping into the light side of the force. Despite all these hindrances, Seker would fight until his last breath. He would have died, had the waves of death not spread through the force. The pure chaos, death and fear sealed his fate, as he officially fell to the dark side. He claimed the lightsabers of a fallen Jedi and an exile, and followed the retreating exiles instead of the Jedi order.

His body started to age, and the many years of battle left it ravaged. He refused any form of medical help, believing that the force alone would be enough to sustain his body. His stubborness lead to a great amount of pain

BIOGRAPHY

Marad was born 15 years prior to the tragedy of Ilum. His parents had already decided a future for him, and they forced him to join an order named the chalactan adepts. For him, it meant that his youth was over before it had even begun. They taught him the laws of nature, different kinds of philosophy and generally shaped his life. During his 8 years learning under the chalactan adepts, he received the lesser mark of Illumination. Not long after this, it was discovered that he was force-sensitive; he could possibly become a Jedi knight.

It wasn't his choice to make, wether he would join the Jedi order or not. His teachers had already explained to him that it was the will of the universe. Back at that time, he did not know what it meant to be force-sensitive. The Jedi simply arrived, and brought him to Ossus without much of an explanation. Of course, he asked questions, but he never received a proper answer. They would teach him over time.

His training was focused mostly around mastery of the force because after all, his instructors were consulars. They prized him for his talents with force sense and telepathy, but he was too free spirited, curious and stubborn. While most of the other younglings spent their time studying and meditating, he spent most of his free time in the woods, climbing trees and scouting the area, or reading stories in the archives. Marad did not understand why the others would meditate in the temple, if the forest contained so much more life. There were many things he questioned when it came to the Jedi order it's point of view, but he never discussed any of it with his teachers or fellow students.

Years after his arrival on Ossus, he and the other students were finally knighted. His classmates were proud, but he was worried. They were far from ready, and that could only lead to failure.

PERSONALITY

"I am a knight in name only, I lack experience, knowledge and skill and I won't pretend to have them."

Marad is fun-loving, somewhat naive and adventurous. He possesses a deep respect for life and freedom and believes that there is no true evil. He's charismatic, positive and friendly, but somewhat immature for his age. The reason being his lack of a childhood. The isolated environment he grew up in made him lack the knowledge a normal person would have and he therefore places too much trust in others. Combined with his love for tales and stories, it makes him an easy target for frauds. But despite this, he will never drop his head. His positive and curious nature makes many believe that he is either dumb or a fool, but only few people can truly see that there is more to him than his open and friendly attitude.

Despite what many may think, Marad actually knows what he's talking about. Both the Chalactan Adepts and the Jedi order taught him much on the fields of philosophy, religion and culture. Marad questions many choices the order makes, but generally keeps his mouth shut. Marad is very loyal to the Jedi order, but tends to ignore orders or suggestions that require him to harm living beings. He has not yet seen the more dark and gritty side of the universe, although he is aware that many have it worse than him.

Marad is a strong user of force empathy, which has resulted in struggles with emotions, and it often pulls him out of his focus. It's also one of the main reasons why he easily gets side-tracked. If he one day learns to properly maintain his focus, it could become one of his greatest strengths instead of one of his greater weaknesses.

ABILITIES

"How can I not be guided by emotions if I sense them everywhere?"

As Marad often says, he's a knight in name only. While his force powers are far developed when it comes to beast control, telepathy and enhancing his senses, his skills with the lightsaber have been neglected. Marad can barely hold his own against opponents of his level in a pure lightsaber duel, and he doesn't have much more options than a far from flawless Soresu. Despite this, Marad still intends to learn lightsaber combat, and believes he'll someday master atleast two forms of lightsaber combat.

The force is not the only thing he excelled at. The many days he spent in the forest have left him in peak physical condition. It made him a great climber, with a high agility, considerably high stamina and a great sense of balance. In combat, he relies more on these three things than strength and endurance. But since he is limited to Soresu, he's rarely actually fighting. Most of it just hastily defending and retreating. However, this does not mean that he's a lost cause when it comes to combat, it just means that he still has to learn how to properly use his abilities.

Like his lightsaber combat, his force empathy is one of his least-developed skills, although he has a very high affinity for it. His lack of control over this ability makes it a double edged sword. It generally allows him to read the mood and act upon it, but it very easily distracts him, making techniques such as telekinesis harder to use. For example, being near a crowd of scared civilians would make it very hard for him to rationally think.

The few streets of the small village on the warm and humid jungle planet named Jakku were quiet, the village seemed almost desolate to outsiders, which wasn't that strange considering the weather. Located in the middle of one of Jakku it's most swampy areas, the village relied on trading, for which they used canoes and small boats. It was also the only way to reach the village, making it a popular hideout for many criminals, smugglers and slavers. What made the village even harder to reach, was the heavy rainfall. The kind of rainfall which currently sounded like a bombardment on the roof of it's singular inn: The Swamphouse.

Syan Forossa sat in the corner of The Swamphouse it's dining room, or whatever it was supposed to be. The misshaped wooden tables and squeaky chairs made it feel more like the slums where he grew up, than the community dining room of an inn. The guests weren't exactly contributing either, most of them were men with more scars than he could count. Syan wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for the unpredictable weather. It was sunny with not a cloud in the sky before he arrived. But the moment he set foot on the wooden planks which formed the main street of the village, it started raining so badly that some of the canoes sunk.

He took another sip from his correlian rum. His clothes were damp and he was quite irritated. He hated casinos, bars and taverns. They reminded him of his father, a man who had not been a positive influence in his life. Spotting the sour expression on Syan's face, one of the guests approached him. "You'll get used to the rain," the man said with a grin. When he realized that Syan wasn't going to answer, he decided to change the subject. "What brought you to our little town, trying to hide or something?" Syan knew that he had to respond this time. A crowded inn full of criminals wasn't a place where he wanted to attract attention. So the cathar Jedi knight responded with the most logical reason he could think of. "Debts.." he mumbled.

Biography

Syan Forossa and his littermates lived a life of poverty on Ord Mantell. Their father was an alcoholic with the habit of losing what little credits they could gather through gambling. When their father no longer had any credits to spend, he realized that he did not earn enough to sustain his family. He had to make a decision. Either stop gambling, or stop providing for his children. The man chose the latter, abandoning Syan and his littermates in the Casino District of Ord Mantell.

Syan, the oldest of the children, would not let his brothers and sisters die as beggars on the streets. He and his younger brother took various jobs wherever they allowed the young cathar to work. Casino's, hangars, hotels. They usually lost their jobs after a month, because of their young age and species. Only places such as the hangars usually had them around longer than a month, because the smugglers didn't care who brought them their cargo, as long as it was loaded into their ships when they left. One of his younger sisters proved to be a skilled artist, and Syan had set aside some of their hard earned money to allow her to go to an art school. His other two sisters sold handmade products on the streets, or earned their money by guiding tourists through the city. As they grew up, they slowly earned more credits and managed to get by even better than when they still lived with their father.

All seemed well, until their family got in touch with the exiles. His youngest sister guided a small group of exiles through the city, but they did not seem interested at all. What did attract their attention, was the young female cathar. They knew something she didn't; the girl was force-sensitive. They took her off-planet against her wishes, set on making her join their ranks. When Syan found out, his rage could not be contained. He vowed to get his sister back, a task which seemed impossible given as they could not challenge the might of the exiles. Thus, Syan had to ask for help. He told his younger brother to take care of his sister and made plans to travel to Jedha.

Syan travelled to Jedha with the help of smugglers and approached the temple looking for help. He explained that his sister was abducted by the exiles and that he needed their help to get his sister back. Instead, the Jedi calmly explained to him why she most likely was taken and that he could've been taken too, had the exiles discovered him. Syan was, like his younger sister, a force-sensitive cathar. The Jedi told him that he could save more people than just his sister. Help more people than just his family. He could join the Jedi order, the combat the evil which had claimed his sister and a large part of the galaxy. Syan accepted their offer, hoping that the power of the Jedi would be enough to protect his family from the exiles and the dark side.

A few long years of training passed, Syan developed his abilities and strenghtened his connection with the force. He learned to conjure powerful kinetic blows, enhance his own physical abilities and how to control animals through telepathy. He constructed a lightsaber with a yellow kyber crystal and has proven his strong desire to protect to the Jedi order. Now a Jedi Knight and a guardian of peace and justice in the galaxy, Syan Forossa has more to take care of than just his family.

Personality

Soft-spoken, humble and kind best define Syan Forossa. He did as much as he could to give his family the life and luxuries they deserved, even at the expense of his own life. The loss of his sister to the dark side has made him overprotective and caring, with a large prejudice against the jedi exiles, now known as the Sith. The Jedi Order has become somewhat of a second family to him and treats each of it's members as if they were his own little brother or sister. Because he had to make all the decisions in the past, Syan finds it very hard to ask for help, guidance or advice. Even when he does, he does not always understand what is meant, meaning he frequently has to find out the hard way.

One of his less commendable traits is his pride. Syan can be very arrogant and gets quite angry when humiliated. His ferocity however, is surpressed by his loyalty to the light side of the force and the Jedi code. When angered, he quickly calms down and resumes control over his emotions, like a proper Jedi should. But when his family is involved, Syan will go to great lengths to protect them or clear his family it's name.

Syan does not only have prejudice against exiles, but against slavers as wel. Syan highly values freedom and will not stand for it being taken away from others when he can do something about it. However, he prefers not to resort to violence. Convincing and communicating are always better than having to fight your way out of situations. When it does come to confrontation however, he usually remains calm and rational.

As a proud older brother, Syan has deepened his knowledge in what his family members used to like before he left them. This has made him knowledgeable when it comes to art, culture and architecture. But also proper etiquette and cooking. He still has contact with one of his sisters, who often asks him about the culture and art he sees on his many missions and travels throughout the galaxy.

Skills, Abilities and Equipment

As a Cathar, he is quick, agile and powerful. Syan has long retractable and razorsharp claws, which combined with his lightsaber techniques, makes him a deadly opponent in melee fights. Thanks to his species' rapid healing abilities, he doesn't fear taking a blow or two.

Despite never being formally trained as a cathar hunter, Syan is good at tracking people down, stealth and ambushing. It makes him a hard target to ambush, since he is alerted by the slightest movements and sounds which seem to be out of place.

Syan, like his younger brother, did a lot of heavy lifting, loading and unloading the ships which came to Ord Mantell. It has made him quite muscular, allowing him to easily overpower an average human if he wanted to. However, he is not able to keep up in a pure strenght-based fight. He'd rather use his agility and speed in combat.

Syan speaks galactic basic, has studied Catharese and understands Huttese and Shyriiwook. However, he is unable to properly form sentences in the latter two languages. His knowledge of different cultures is quite useful too, as he knows the traditions of a lot of species and can greet them in a proper and respectful manner.

Syan his pride prevents him from taking unfair advantages into a fight, unless he's dealing with slavers or Sith. For example, he will fight unarmed thughs in a fair fist fight. He also doesn't make aggressive use of the force, as he only uses his telekinetic abilities to counter force pushes coming his way, for example. Because he only uses telekinetic abilities to counter, it is not exactly his greatest strength. He is far better with abilities such as force sense and enhancing his own physical abilities. He also has some skill with energy absorption and telepathy, but knows very little about healing and trances.

Syan Forossa wears a dark brown variant of the standard Jedi Robes. His equipment usually consists of his lightsaber, a holoprojector, a comlink, small binoculars and a small flask filled with corellian rum.
