Bio:
Henry James was a young boy raised up by his uncle. His parents were drunkards who could not even put on their own shoes without help. He was educated in the finest school and he had the smarts to become a politician. He had a great life until one horrible day.
On June 13, 1637 it seemed as though it would be a normal day for Henry. He went to school like normal. He ate his midday meal like normal. But when he got back to his home he saw four men break through his front door. He ran up to look inside, and he saw his father being stabbed by one of them. He ran into the home without thinking and tried to stop them, but it was already too late. The men left and Henry was left there with nothing that he could do.
Henry never went back to school and he tried not to remember what happened. As Henry’s life went on, he became somewhat of a thief as he lived on the streets. He taught himself how to use a knife and small pistol, which he stole of a noble walking past him one day. He also became skilled with working locks and breaking the codes.
One night, Henry was at the port of the village. If he was lucky, he may find somewhat of a job here. He wandered around the ships and shops when a ship pulled into the port. Why this ship caught his eye he would never know; but the men on this ship would change the rest of his life. Henry watched a man come down off the ship and walked straight through the ports into the main part of the village, like he knew where he was going. Henry ran after this man, not sure what he was getting himself into.
When he got into the village he lost the man. Henry then looked at a few buildings until he came to one that he could use to his advantage. He hoped onto a small shed, and then lifted himself onto the roof of the house. From here he could see for quite a distance. After a while of searching from the roof, Henry spotted the man coming back to the docks. As the man neared the house, Henry jumped in front of him but the man didn’t seem to care. After a small conversation, Henry realized that he was a pirate. The man introduced himself as Lenard Williams, and he invited Henry to join him. Henry accepted and joined William’s crew. Now Henry felt he maybe putting himself higher in the world than what he was.
