Hello Star Wars RP. I stumbled upon this site while obviously looking for a good Star Wars RP site and I look forward to interacting with the community. A couple of things I would like to say. First, my first language isn't English so some of my posts might sound really cheesy or unprofessional so please try to not criticize me too much. Second, there are some things that really bother me and that I don't agree with. No, it has nothing to do with the way you guys operate, after all, I agreed to those when I signed up. It has to do with the treatment of Sith and dark side users and death. I have a few questions on both, which if one of the administrators or moderators could answer I would greatly appreciate it. If you can't be bothered to speak with a peasant like me, no hard feelings, I know you guys are busy. I can imagine that managing a site must be difficult. Anyway, here is what I wanted to ask:

-Why are Sith here treated like the bad guys? I know they are treated like that in the movies and in the Star Wars universe overall, but just because you wield the Dark Side doesn't necessarily mean that the person is evil. I believe that you guys should take a more neutral stance on the sides of the force.
-Also, why should I spend grueling hours creating a character (I am not a very creative person, so for me its very difficult to create a character) if in my first role-play he is just going to die?

Anyway, that's all. Please don't hate on me. What I said above were just my opinions on those things. Either way, i'm happy to be here, even though i'm pretty sure that my character is going to die in his very first role-play...

Welcome! I'm not staff or any bring, but I'll try to help you with your questions.

First of all, this timeline we're operating in nucanon, which is simply all the stuff that has been made by Disney plus the films and TCW. Now, there has not been a single case of a 'good' dark sider in this canon. This is because of Dark Side corruption, which prevents people from balancing the light and the dark. Also consider that the Dark Side is rooted in hatred and fear, both which are typically 'evil' things.

Second, you don't have to participate in threads that are open, or death-enabled. Ask threads or no-death-enabled threads are available. Whether or not you wish to participate in death-enabled threads is completely up to you.

Hello, @Volkaru ! Anyway, I must admit that you could have fooled me with English being your second language, as this is a very well put together post. If I owned a cap, I would tip it to you, good sir. Anyway, in regards to your questions I have two answers.

1. The Sith have an extreme individualist, survival-of-the-fittest ideology, so it stands to reason that anyone in the group follows this potentially destructive mindset. While individual Sith can be moral in different ways, the general order has some very self-serving tendencies.

2. Not every rp is death-enabled, in fact most aren't. Simply ask who ever is running a given rp whether death is enabled or not, and you'll get your answer. And don't worry, I've lost two characters already this timeline, it happens to everyone.

You've gotten some pretty good answers to your questions so far. And while Sith are mostly "evil", there are levels of "evil". Is it his motivations that lead to anything in the way being collateral damage? Is he psychopathic and doesn't care about life in general? Maybe he really just doesn't give two shits about anything that doesn't benefit him in someway? You can play your character the way you'd like. They don't have to be EVIL. They could be manipulative, or little evil, or anything under the sun. Maybe you rp their redemption story. It's really very open.

I see. Thanks for the replies. My general idea for my character is for him to be a fallen Jedi. I have story on my head, like I always do and hopefully I can work with some people on the site to make the story possible. Anyway, final question: Are there any Dark or Grey Jedi in your universe?

There are no Grey Jedi. Fallen a jedi yes. Currently the jerk are attacking the Tython Temple.
