FUNCTIONS
Function 1: Internal Dampeners
  • Intergrated Inertial dampeners help reduce impacts imparted wearers body, situated under the armour panels, they help the absorb the shock of weapon impact through the armour and most other forms of blunt force trauma, for example, a fall or impact that might have fractured bones would only give them intense bruising.
    Force User Compatible: No
Function 2: Riot Gauntlet
  • This collapsible shield extends in 1 second from a 0.4 meter gauntlet into a 1 meter tall riot shield, which is made lightsaber resistant material and insulated against electro and stun weapons to prevent bleed through. Unfortunately, the extended plates are not designed to withstand blaster shots and will break under one shot from anything stronger than a light weapon. Being a physical shield it has weight the user has to carry even when it is not deployed.
    Force User Compatible: No
Function 3: Kneepad Rocket Dart Launcher
  • The Kneepad rocket dart launcher is a type of rocket dart launcher worn and fired from a kneepad. It has a 5 meter range and you can fire 4 shots that must be manually reloaded. The darts have a strong impact that can knock over.
    Force User Compatible: No
Function 4: Armorweave Accessory
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
    Force User Compatible: Yes
Function 5: Jet Pack
  • Jet packs are back mounted units used by elite troops increase their mobility on the battlefield. The jet pack's maximum speed is 50 kph and it carries fuel for up to five minutes of continuous flight (flight mode), but can also be fired in short bursts triggered by jumping (combat mode). The wearer can control the system to switch between modes and/or disengage it from their armor via wrist controls. These packs are cumbersome, adding an additional 8kg for the average human (larger individuals will have heavier jet packs to support their weight). While the fuel is stable enough not to explode, direct hits from weapons can trigger the system inadvertently, after which it is rendered useless.
    Force User Compatible: No

DESCRIPTION
Although medium armor is the preference for many Mandalorians out and about in the galaxy. The front line shock troopers make use of heavier armor that sacrifices their mobility and flexibility for overall protection and ability to serve at the tip of the spear, while still offering reliable protection and the intimidating presence of their signature t-visors. With the increasing rarity of pure Beskar, many Mandalorians have turned to alloy armor compositions that allow them more ease in repair and procurement to make up for their decreased defensive properties of the inferior armor materials (when compared to pure Beskar). Like all Mandalorian armor, every one of these suits is unique to their wearer, and the range of customization options is huge.

LEGALITY
Mandalorian armor, though rare, is not illegal in most places. That said, wearing a full face helmet in public spaces is frowned upon, and often illegal in many core worlds, especially in or near government facilities - not to mention that many identification cards in various systems require a full face photo. This drives many strict adherents of "the way" to operate exclusively on the fringes of the galaxy.

INTENT
This provides a standard issue heavy armor for alternative for Mandalorian characters. To round out the Heavy, Medium, Light categories.

RESTRICTIONS
None, but would be highly unlikely to be in the hands of anyone other than a Mandalorian character. Unless captured.
