Naboo/Theed
13:01 local time

LbRqLcq.jpg

Arthur was seated outside of a coffee shop, sipping on some very delicious tea. He always loved visiting Naboo. It was a beautiful planet with interesting culture. He still wanted to visit one of the Gungan underwater villages one day. But unfortunately, that wouldn't be happening that day.

His mission was a simple one. He and another Sith had to trigger some sort of fantastic disaster then swoop in to save the day, making everyone else look bad. It was simple, though it certainly wasn't what he was used to. He never liked taking lives unnecessarily. At least this was justified. so he didn't have to feel too bad. They still had to figure out exactly what they wanted to do and scout the area as well. Thankfully he had a few ideas for this operation...ones that would certainly draw enough attention for them to make a good impression. He just needed to make sure he had enough emergency items in order to make it worth the effort. All these things were seriously hurting his pockets...

He sighed and sat back, sipping away at his tea while paging through his datapad. His companion still needed to arrive, so he was patient. He had to admit that he knew next to nothing about this other Sith, aside from his name. Hopefully he wouldn't come off as too rude when the man arrived.

A wry smile crossed the blondes features as she approached the small secluded cafe out in the side streets of the capital City, not because of the quaint and boutique nature of the venue. But because of the presence of a fellow guardian, whether Arthur knew it was going to be the blonde Sith that was assisting him through the last minute changes to the scheme, time would tell.

Alyse only a few hours ago within her hotel room had awoken to the message, from the faceless masterminds of the Eternal that she had been drafted into assisting a fellow cultist with thier efforts on Naboo, something to do with causing a scene and rushing to the aid to assist. Admittedly she was half asleep when she went over the mission details, her priority was to get herself dressed and over to the randez vous point in time, which only really gave her an hour tops to cross the capital City from her hotel - she hoped to kriff that her counterpart would have a better idea on what the plans execution would be.

Turning her attention to one of the servers, the blonde ordered a condensed caff and indicated where she was to be sitting before, casually walking over to where Arthur was seated, approaching from his behind Alyse placed a hand onto his shoulder "Hey, long time no see" she spoke out before closing her head in towards the side of the man's head, to those who might be observing the pair it looked as if she had gone in for a quick affectionate peck of Arthur's cheek in greeting, though it was to conceal the hushed soft whisper into the man's ear "theres been a change of plan" before she eased away with a warm smile and sat down on the empty chair opposite Arthur.

Her gaze briefly moving away from Arthur as the barrister appeared with her drinks order. Smiling and thanking with a nod, Alyse took the drink and set the plate down on the table. "So what's on the agenda for today's meeting? What does our project architect have in mind?" she enquired, figuring that her choice of words would be innocuous enough for any one that might pass by to think they were simply meeting up ahead of a meeting.

Arthur perked up as he felt a familiar presence approach. A smile spread onto his lips as he sipped at his tea. When he felt the hand on his shoulder he looked up at her. "Indeed." he said with a smirk. She leaned in and let him know what he suspected. His partner wasn't going to be arriving. But that was fine. He preferred to work with people he knew. He trusted Alyse more than most in the Eternal.

"A very pleasant surprise seeing you again. You should have told me you were coming, I would have ordered you something in the meantime." he said as he took another sip of tea, before topping up his cup with some more. "Basically we've been given carte blanche on this. Whatever we need or want, we can do. As long as we get it done." he went along with her inconspicuous choice of words. "I was thinking looking into the fuel market. Maybe we can have our transport groups intertwine with that. Should definitely cause a boom for the company if we manage to pull it off." he spoke casually as he sat back and pulled his tin of cigarettes from his jacket pocket. He took one then offered Alyse the tin as well before lighting it with a very fancy lighter. He placed it on the table for her as he took a drag from his cigarette.

"How does that sound to you?" he asked her as he sat forward.

Shuffling slightly in her seat, so to fold a leg over the other before reaching down to the side to set her handbag against the leg of her chair. The blonde listened as Arthur cryptically filled her in with the details of the mission, a slight smile crossing the edge of her lips as she picked up by the handle and brought the hot beverage to her lips. "So the client has given us free reign, that's good news" Alyse spoke out before blowing softly on her drink and taking a few light sips from the steeming beverage, as her chestnut hued gaze panned over the surrounding patrons before returning her attention to the dark haired male - a light nod came in response to the proposal that they should focus on the fuel network, as she sat her cup down on the plate.

"It does sound like an appealing project, I'm not familiar with the site, so you'll have to endulge me" Alyse responded before pausing slightly to reach down into her bag to retrieve her datpad, before booting it up and setting it down on the table between the pair of them. "Is the proposed redevelopment site heavily built up? Will we be looking at doing a remodelling scheme or a demo and rebuild?" She added as she switched through the applications to the local maps, her fingers nimbly manipulating the screen to where they currently were, before easing the holopad towards Arthur to indicate the location of where their 'project' was to take place, and reaching back down to grab a notebook from her bag, flicking it open to some blank pages and hurriedly sketching out a few architectural concept drawings of the development, before setting it down to the side of her caff.

Whilst her fellow cultist manipulated the map to where they would be headed, Alyse reached over for her cup taking a few more sips from the drink as she continued to scribble various notes and details that she could recall seeing from the various architectural drawings that she had to sift though during her early teens helping out within her father's office during the summers that he brought her in to work at the Bakuran Government, all part of her upbringingand preparation for when she was to inherit his place in governance. Whether or not it was necessary, filling out pages with sketches, the young cultist figured it would help the pair look natural to any passers by.

Arthur shrugged at her comment. "No problem. I also have to do some more scouting on the area, see what we're dealing with. Last time the paperwork got in the way." he explained calmly, inconspicuously referring to the security detail around the fuel depot. She pulled out her datapad and slid it over to him. He looked it over for a moment before starting to move the map around. In a few seconds he had a good aerial view of the area. "Heavily developed. We're going to need to flatten it all before trying anything else. Look here. Those buildings might be a problem. But our suppliers should have enough stuff to sort that out easily enough." he spoke as he pointed out the security towers around the target area.

"But don't worry too much about trying to figure it out now. After finishing our drinks I was planning on looking the site over properly." he assured her with a smile. He took a drag of his cigarette before putting his things away in his jacket pocket. "By the way, are you hungry? I was thinking of buying a light meal for lunch before heading out. After all, no reason why we can't catch up." he said as he sat back in his seat, flashing her a casual wink as he ashed his cigarette. "How have you been? Business back home getting better, at least?"

"What happened to Trin? I haven't heard about her for quite a while." he asked her as he frowned slightly, recalling the third member of their group.

Pursing her lips in thought as Arthur indicated the pair of security towers at the targeted location, the blonde cultist leant bsck against her seat, folding her arms accross her chest as her brow furrowed slightly in deep contemplation. Security was present and likely to pose an issue for them to get close to the site or anything potentially dangerous. "I see" Alyse murmured lightly before her chestnut hued eyes looked up towards the fellow guardian as he continued speaking, advising of his intent to visit the site after they finished thier drinks. A wry smile curling at the edge of her lips as the offer of getting a meal in before they set off. "I think we might be best getting to the site ahead of the meeting, I would like to familiarise myself with the area before we discuss with the client" She responded before lifting her caff up from the table and took another sip from the drink. "Perhaps once the meeting is over with we can have dinner?" she added, providing a compromise. "Truth be told I might need to grab some PPE on the way to the site, had thought the meeting was in an office building not an active facility, so I didn't pack my vis vest or nut bucket" Alyse continued with a light chuckle, before pointing at her head playfully "Blonde moment I know!"

With a light motion, the female pressed a finger against the side of the holopad, setting it into hibernation mode before closing her notebook and pen and setting them down ontop of the powered down data pad. Reaching back over for her cup of caff, and taking a few sips of the beverage, her features took on a pensive expression. "Things at home are busy as usual, father has gone quiet lately, though have acquired a droid assistant, to help out with the more demanding jobs about the homestead, how about yourself? " she spoke, summarising her latest activities since the pair had met. "Trinity I've not heard from in a while, I think she must be snowed under with her training" she added, commenting on the Assassins falling off the radar, though if she knew her well enough - Alyse could only presume for the time being the dark haired female was off stalking her target somewhere in the galaxy. A light sigh escaping the blondes lips as she looked down at the remnants of her drink, before bringing the cup up to her lips and finishing it off. "Shall we?"

"Alright, but I'll be holding you to that dinner." he playfully warned her with a lighthearted laugh. She mentioned needing her jacket and safety helmet, though he wasn't sure if she was serious or talking code for something else. Regardless, he rolled with it. "You have an extra set? I seemed to have completely forgotten that part of the visit." he asked as he finished his tea.

Alyse went on to explain her situation back home, which he found rather curious. Why would he rather leave important business to a mere droid instead of leading the cult directly and personally? He brushed the thought aside as she asked about him. "Oh, I've been busy. I'm currently working with a partner on opening a business." he explained enthusiastically. "A financial consulting firm, to be specific. I've been wanting to get involved with something like this for a while, so I'm actually trying my hardest to get it off the ground." he continued with a passionate spark in his voice.

She finished her drink then rose. He followed closely after. "Indeed. My speeder is just around the corner." he spoke before leading the way to the parking lot. He slipped into the driver's seat and powered it up. The engine's turbines revved up a few times before taking off. He cruised along at a comfortable speed past the beautiful buildings of Theed. "I'll be honest, that cryptic talk was getting on my nerves." he admitted with a laugh. "You still want to stop by your place?" he asked her as he gave a quick glance.

Sitting down onto the offered seat in the dark haired Cultist's speeder, Alyse leant back into the folds of the chair and fastened herself in place., before the speeder peeled off and headed away from the cafe, her gaze moving over towards the Side of Arthur's face as he spoke out to her, voicing that the cryptic talk was starting to get annoying. "Vexing as it may Arthur, we have to sound and look like we belong" Alyse responded, as her focus moved towards the streaming traffic that was moving around them. "Anyone who might happen to be listening in, would just think that we're taking about some construction project, get bored and move on to ear wigging on someone else in search of juicy gossip" she added with a light chuckle as a wry smile curled on the edge of her lips, her gaze moving over towards the side to meet the corner of Arthur's periphery.

As the question about whether she wanted to stop by her place came about , the blonde shook her head and motioned towards a small home improvement store. "Just pull in here" the blonde instructed, as she pointed out the shop to the driver. Patiently waiting as Arthur pulled in and came to a halt, before releasing her restraints and exiting the vehicle, circling around the speeder's exterior to the man's side of the vehicle. "I'll pick up our site gear here, you're not seeing my hotel until after dinner" Alyse spoke before her gaze flitted along each way the traffic was moving. "And that's only if you are lucky" She added teasingly before darting across the road, as a window to cross presented itself.

After a few minutes, the blonde emerged from the door of the DIY shop, carrying a couple of small packages. Her gaze moving over from the waiting speeder, then to make sure the road was clear to cross - before a few moments later the speeder door was pulled shut as Alyse tucked the packages into the foot well, and fastened herself back into the speeder. "Ok lets head on to the site" the blonde spoke as she turned her attention from the packages over towards Arthur.

Arthur nodded and steered the speeder into an open parking. He landed it and calmly sat back as he waited for her. She came around to his side, dropping a rather nasty tease. "Well that's not fair!" he joked back as he glanced at her. He raised an eyebrow and smirked at her comment. "Guess I should play it carefully then." he quipped as he relaxed back into the fine leather seat.

A few minutes later Alyse returned with two bags. She hopped back in and fastened her seatbelt. Arthur calmly pulled the speeder out of the parking and drove off towards their objective. "Okay, so aside from safety reasons is there a reason why we need these? I doubt people are that simple-minded to simply think we're official workers if we just wear that." he commented as he glanced at her.

A while later Arthur stopped the speeder outside of the depot. "Alright, let's see what we have to work with." he said as he pulled the vest closed over his jacket. He slipped the helmet on and got out of the speeder. "I feel silly." he said as he walked around the speeder to meet up with Alyse.

A wry smile curled on the edges of Alyse's lips as Arthur questioned her rationale for donning PPE, in thier attempt to move about the target site. Indicating that those working there weren't simple minded fools "oh certainly they'll not see us as simple workers" she commented, as the reached down in the foot well to retrieve and open up the packets containing neon yellow vests trimmed with silver reflective bands. "The last time I visited Theed, and sure that you noticed at the space port, the workers tend to wear orange ones, yellow is for visitors" she continued as she stuffed the packaging into the side pocket, before laying the vests out ready on her lap. "These places get so many visitors on a daily basis, the workers won't pay any real attention to us" she finished up, as Arthur pulled the speeder into the compound.

Stepping out of the speeder, Alyse put on the vis vest, over her attire, the work wear clashing horrendously with what in comparison to those dressed in boiler suits moving around the pair, was a more formal and office based choice of apparel. A light smirk crept on her features as Arthur aired that he felt silly wearing the PPE, before she reached over and retrieved her handbag and slung it over her shoulder and then placed the work helmet atop her head. "you'll be fine. It'll be an hours survey, just follow me and you'll be fine" she responded, as a reassuring smile curled on her lips. But before the dark haired man could respond, the blonde cultist was making her way to the access gate, where a rather bored looking human sat within the cabin. "Afternoon, we're here to do the structural survey on the refinery towers" Alyse spoke to the guard as she approached the window, whom just looked up at the pair his eyes taking in the sight of two overly dressed figures, all prim and proper and without the slightest spec of grime on them, rolling up in a highend speeder. And, just simply sighed as he reached over for a battered looking clip board. "sign yourselves in luv, you need any one to walk you about?" the guard muttered as he flicked through the reems of paper to where there was a blank space. "We should be fine thank you, I've got the site plan on my holopad" the blonde responded as she populated the sign in log with aliases, the guard just grunting in turn and sunk back into his seat and buzzing them through.

Arthur scoffed as he followed after Alyse. "You're making it sound like I have stage fright." he joked as he walked towards the gate. Immediately he pulled out his datapad and started to take notes of the place. The security, the layout, everything that stood out while Alyse did the talking. He signed the clipboard with fake details and followed after her. "Could you have chosen a worse name?" he teased quietly as they walked. All the while he was taking notes.

"Check this out." he spoke up as they walked past some fuel lines. They looked sound, most likely in perfect condition. But Arthur was looking for other marks. They looked like they could easily be tampered with. "Come on. Let's check the rest of the lines." he said as he walked along the pipelines. "Security on them is acceptable. Shelter too. Should be an easy problem to take care of." he spoke cryptically, hoping she'd get where he was coming from. "I think relocating the pipes would be a much easier task than uprooting the entire facility. What do you think?" he asked as he looked at her.

He approached one of the valves, checking the connections and seals. An idea popped into his head. He reached for a cigarette and lifted it to his mouth. As soon as he was going to light it, he was stopped as a worker called out to him. "Excuse me! You see the sign? No smoking!" he was ordered by an employee who pointed to a rather obvious "no smoking" sign. "My apologies! Force of habit." he called back with a fake nervous smile as he slid the cigarette back into its tin and back into his pocket. "Security is sharp. At least with obvious things. Your input?" he spoke as he turned to look at Alyse.

Once they had passed through the security checkpoint, the blonde cultist followed Arthur in his movements within the compound. Her attention and focus for the most part remaining solely on her data pad, only periodically raising her gaze up from the screen and general notes she was drafting about the surrounding area, to look up towards her male companion and the points of interest he was identifying, before returning her attention back to her device, busily taking notes of where certain items of plant were - to anyone who would take note of what what she had detailed over the plan all they would find is typical survey notes relating to an obscure development project.

A raised inquisitive eyebrow crossed Alyse's features as Arthur caught the attention of one of the near by workers, by of all things opting to spark up a cigarette in the vicinity of a fuel pipe. A resigned sigh escaped her lips as she teasingly tutted whilst shaking her head. "Can't take you any where can I?" the blonde cultist spoke out, as her data pad was lowered off to her side. Her Gaze shifted off to the side as Arthur commented on the state of security within the area, her chestnut hued eyes falling upon a cluster of fuel store tanks located on the other side of a workshop building, before panning over towards the large administration building behind the pair.

A pensive expression crossed her features as she took a deep breath and reached out with the Force, her mind reaching out and focusing in on the fuel storage tanks, committing their presence into the attention of her minds eye. Once she was satisfied that she had honed in on the pressurised vessels, the blonde allowed part of her concentration to move away from her target. "I'm figuring that those vessels would hinder access into that workshop building" Alyse spoke out as she handed the dark haired male her holopad, before placing her hand upon his arm to lead them away from where they were standing, heading towards the rear of the administration building.

"I would be making recommendations to the client, that the storage vessels be relocated towards that far end of the compound, least that way it could reduce the collateral should a heavy hover loader colide with them." She added, before tightening her grip on Arthur's wrist, her eyes glazing over as she committed her mind and focus back onto the storage tanks she had been keeping the Force focused on. Now that they were out of the immediate area and at a safe distance, the blonde cultist was hindered by the lack of a visual lock with her target - forcing her to concentrate harder as she channelled the energies of the force from their surroundings and into the stored volatile liquids contained within the storage vessels.

Her intention was to siphon off the energies of the Force and pour them into the stored energy contained within the fuel stores, over charging them with greater amounts of energy that would in turn cause the liquid fuel to react, increasing the temperature and the pressure within the pressurised vessels. As time passed the pressure within the metal tanks increased, until the area was suddenly filled with the sound of klaxon alarms thundering throughout the area - triggered by the rise in pressure beyond the safety limits. Until shortly after a shock wave of air rushed past the pair knocking them off their feet, followed by a deafening explosion as the storage tanks erupted into a towering fireball, sending shards of twisted metal and burning liquid crashing into the immediate area around where the storage tanks once stood. Most of the blast being directed into the workshop building that the pair had moved away from.

"What in the Kriff just happened?" Alyse spoke out to Arthur as she pushed herself off from his body from where the pair had landed on the floor as a result of the shock wave, the pair knowing all to well what had just happened - But for the sake of this Menagerie they were 'affiliated' to it would to stay in character.

Arthur chuckled at her comment as he looked at her. "I can think of a few places you can take me." he teased her with a smirk.

She disappeared into her thoughts as she looked around. Arthur followed her gaze. She commented on the fuel tanks close to the workshop, making him blink. "It is a little in the way, isn't it?" he commented, accepting her datapad. She suddenly took hold of his arm and dragged him off behind the main building. "Already? I thought we were at work." he joked with a smug grin on his face. He was just trying to get on her nerves at this point.

She kept talking but he knew she was up to something. He soon figured out what she wanted to do and focused the force to reinforce her. He channeled the force into her to boost her power, allowing her to achieve her goal. Though no amount of bracing prepared him for the enormous fireball or the shockwave knocking them back. He landed on the ground and she dropped on him not even a second later. His ears were ringing something fierce. She pushed off him but he was slow to follow. He finally managed to get on his feet as his tinnitus subsided, allowing him to hear the screaming, sirens and other forms of overwhelming chaos going on.

He looked back to Alyse and gave her a nudge. "Come on, we need to help." he said, still looking a little off balance. He then moved on towards where someone was fighting to get a fire extinguisher free from its lock. Arthur pushed the man aside and -with a little subtle force manipulation- pried it free and went with the man to help douse the flames.

Nodding as Arthur nudged her, prompting that they needed to help those caught up in the blast that just moments ago, she had brought about, the blonde cultist quickly scanned around the area from where the pair had been knocked onto the ground, stepping over briefly to pick up her datapad, before stuffing it into her handbag and fastening it shut. Before quickly following in her fellow cultist's wake. Rounding the corner she watched as Arthur made a bee line over towards one of the workers as he tried to wrestle a fire extinguisher free from it's bindings, a pensive expression crossing her features as she tried to assess what she would be best doing to assist those caught up in the blast - the fire fighting seemed to be covered by Arthur and the other workers.

Her gaze snapped over to her left as she could hear the pained groans of one of the downed workers laying on the floor, not too far from a pool of burning fuel. Her heart pumping with adrenaline as she quickly moved towards the stricken worker, hunching her upper half low to the ground to try and keep below the blanket of smoke - or at least where the smoke was at it thinnest. Whilst it was perhaps not the most graceful of stances for the young woman, it seemed to do the job pretty well. "Shhhh, It's Ok, we're going to get you out of here" Alyse spoke as she hunched over the worker, her blonde hair and alabaster features quickly darkening from the soot that was falling off from the intense fires that surrounded them. "Sorry but its going to hurt before it gets better" she added, before taking the man's wrists in a firm grip, before a strained grunt escaped from her lips as she started to drag the man out of harms way and to relative safety behind where Arthur and the other workers were dealing with the raging fires.

After what felt like a gruelling eternity, feeling the searing heat wash over her body Alyse broke through the clouded cover of the smoke, with a spluttering cough before a taking a deep gasp of fresh air - with several lungfulls of fresh air, the smokey blonde pushed on almost reinvigorated by the lack of smoke, continuing to drag the writhing worker to safety. Once they were at a safe enough distance, Alyse released her grasp, before taking several more deep breaths of fresh air, channelling the Force through her body before running back into the now thick smog, her mind using the Force around her in a similar fashion as when she was manipulating fire at home - having honed her abilities with pyromancy through mostly lazy pursuits, igniting her cigarettes or fire wood without having to use a lighter, choosing to simply use the Force, she had learned to protect much of her skin from the effects of burning.

Whilst the Force would reduce the effects of the Fire's heat, the way she was channelling it wasn't doing much to counter the other resultants of the raging fire, with each shallow breath she could feel her throat become raw from the smoke, her eyes were stinging and blood shot as tears welled up and streamed down her features. She could only do perhaps one more trip before she would start to put herself at risk. A slight startled jolt ran through her as she felt someone reach out and grab at her ankle, her tear soaked gaze squinting at the sight of another worker, his boiler suit badly singed from the heat of the fire. Crouching down beside him, Alyse felt the man to get an feel for how his body was positioned before trying to coax him to drape himself over her back.

Feeling the man's arms wrap around her shoulders, Alyse turned and started to make her way back towards safety, as she did so her hand brushed against the side of another limb. Her gaze squinting as she tried to make out what it was she had touched, seeing what appeared to be an unconscious worker. Whether it was the surging adrenaline that was forcing its way through her body with each rapid heart beat, or plain stupidity! Alyse took a firm grip with both of her hands on the limb, before with a focused effort pushed herself through the thick smoke towards the clearing where she could sense the presence of Arthur and an abundance more of new arrivals. The weight on her back was heavy, the muscles in her arms were straining, the tips of her fingers felt raw and tense - each smoke ladened breath seemed to burn its way deeper and deeper down her windpipe. It felt like torture, similar to what Locura would subject her to to bring out her raw emotions. But it was that pain and perhaps the bitter memory of that infernal Gotal, that drove her forwards.

Breaching through the smoke cloud once again, Alyse stumped a few steps further into the fresh air with her two casualties in tow before releasing her grip and kneeling down trying to take a breath of fresh air, only to start bitterly coughing, her lungs feeling raw and ragged as if she had just woken up from the previous night's festivities with the realisation that she had smoked more than one whole pack of cigarettes in her drunken stupor. Not quite caring who witnessed the follow up to her coughing fit, the young smoke stained blonde turned her head to the side and spat out the bitter tasting phlegm that she had just hacked up. Her tear soaked and irritated eyes blinking a few times as she regarded the large swarm of rescue crew and droids that had descended down around them, watching as they focused their attention on the workers she had dragged out from black haze.

As Alyse helped the injured people, Arthur helped out with the firefighting. He helped to direct the available people, helped them through the smoke and even assisted personally to douse some flames. Most of it was utter bantha crap, given the fact that he was subtly using the force to calm the flames and make it easier to kill.

He heard a series of coughing fits off to his side and noticed Alyse in bad shape. He handed the operations over to another man who arrived and rushed over to her. "Get out of the smoke. Take a break." he ordered her, leading her away. He returned and looked over the injured men she saved. They were in really bad shape. But he knew there were more he could save. He rushed into the thick smoke, using it to conceal his use of the force. He calmed several flames and managed to find a number of people as he worked through the area. He finally emerged with two men dragging behind him and one over his shoulder as he fought to get them to safety. Annoyance and borderline rage helped bolster his strength as he pulled them to safety.

He dropped them by the other injured workers and took a moment to catch his breath before moving off to help further. "Hey you! The hell you doing here?" a man asked from behind. Arthur rubbed a tear-stained eyes as he focused on what looked like a fireman. "I'm with the menagerie! Couldn't just watch the guys struggle on their own!" he explained, noting a hint of surprise in the man's eye. "There's a bunch of wounded over there! In the smoke's a bunch of fuel tanks as well, so be careful going in there!" he explained before moving off to let the people do their work.

They did their job, completed their objective to spread the word. All in all...it was horrible, his good suit was ruined!

Arthur found Alyse and, with one arm around her waist and another holding hers over his shoulder, he helped her to his speeder before finally catching a break. "Let's not do that again..." he commented, giving a cough.
