DESCRIPTION
The Haxion Brood is known for having their fingers in gambling, smuggling and perhaps most notably, bounty hunting. Their use of illegally created droids from smuggled parts often resemble modified loadlifter droids but are far more dangerous. Most Haxion Bounty droids are cocky and aggressive and are not to be mistaken as dumb. They can taunt and bait their enemies, using an assortment of combat tactics.Many of these droids do not receive memory wipes for several reasons. First and foremost is retaining their memory the bounty droids become more effective and develop better strategies. Another obvious reason is the fact that most Bounty Droids have self preservation protocols and having been created from scrap and spare or illegal parts, they do not meet the normal safety requirements of other droids that even the most dastardly of corporations still tend to abide by. As such, Bounty Droids have been known to fight those that wish to erase their memory and express the desire to retain their developed personality which only gets more cocky (but competent) as time goes on. A third reason the Brood doesn't do memory wipes on these droids is they tend to still get in combat enough that they end up not needing a memory wipe before they are scrapped.
When work is quiet and there are few bounties or smuggling is uneventful, the Haxion Brood has been known to enter their bounty droids into gladiatorial fights which keeps bounty droid's satisfied since their program seems to only allow them to be happy when hunting or fighting. The Haxion Brood leadership keeps Bounty Droids out in the field and not privy to the inner workings in case they get captured or destroyed, that way they can't be sliced and have damaging information recovered by Brood's enemies.
Overall most Bounty Droids have the capability off having armor plating added to their bulk. This proportionally slows them down but most that bear armor plates remove them as soon as they are damaged and rarely replace them with anything better than scrap if at all. It is rare to see a bounty droid without a blaster rifle mounting on an arm but not unheard of. The rifles are usually shoddily mounted and little more than a normal rifle integrated into the arm of the bounty droid. But this also means that unlike some droid designs like the aging B2 battle droid, the Bounty Droids can have their mounted weapons potentially changed to something else. The droids are known more for their strength and tendency for closer combat more than marksmanship and will often close the distance or keep to close or medium range. While large, they hit hard and can be surprisingly quick providing bursts of speed that can give a wookiee a run for their money in a cantina brawl. Often knocking out its targets is the only means of non-lethal capture since they tend to forget their wrist blasters have stun settings.
LEGALITY
Illegal. Like all bounty droids, are subject to extensive licensing for ownership by a faction or individual, and receive a great deal of scrutiny from authorities. Haxion Brood are often crafted outside of safety specifications and manufacturing guidelines. Ownership of a battle droid as well is illegal.INTENT
