Haven Garrett
NAME: Haven Garrett
FACTION: Factionless, but open to the idea of joining a team.

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Haven Garrett has a large scar on the back of his head, from a glancing lightsaber blow during his brief encounter with a rogue Jedi.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, but barely. Enough to sense emotions in others, but not enough to use in combat.
STRENGTH: As a veteran bounty hunter, Haven Garrett is exceptionally strong. He can carry his weight in equipment with no issue, and has won arm-wrestling contests against Wookies.
DEXTERITY: During his years as a bounty hunter, he picked up on the art of stealth, and has become quite nimble. However, with his increasing age, Haven Garrett has found staying undetected to be harder than it used to be.
CONSTITUTION: Haven Garrett is forty-one, with a good portion of his life spent. Despite this, he is still in good health, with no chronic ailments or augmented body parts. His mind is clear, and his thoughts are sharp from years of hunting bounties.
INTELLIGENCE: Intelligence is a word you might use to describe Haven Garrett, but not in the way you might think. He was never schooled properly, but has learned the ways of the world through experience. He can read, but not at a scholarly level, and can write as well.

Haven Garrett is a bit of an enigma. His childhood was rough, but he is not cold, nor violent by nature. He never hesitates to smile, or to share what he has. However, he keeps his secrets to himself, without telling any one person too much about his past or his motives. His past does come back to haunt him from time to time, which adds stress to his already difficult life. He never initiates contact with a Hutt, though tries his best to get along with other alien life forms.
Haven is facing a crisis at the moment, getting older does not sit perfectly with him. He is noticing his faults, getting slower and weaker as he ages. In his line of work, this is unacceptable, and he does his best to work around it. He bears a slight jealousy against younger persons, try as he might not to show it. He also despises slavery, and has gone out of his way on missions to free slaves and stop slave ships. He also has a thing for Twi'lek women, but as he says, "Who doesn't, right?"

BIOGRAPHY:
Haven Garrett's life began abruptly, with his entire family being sold to the Hutts. He grew up around a distant descendant of Graag the Hutt, named Khrooka the Hutt. Khrooka had Haven Garrett trained to be an assassin, and quickly grew close to Haven, marveling at his natural physical abilities. Haven never returned the love, though Khrooka didn't care. Over the years, Haven ran more missions than he could remember, killing many and stealing more. On a smuggling run for Khrooka, Haven was intercepted by a rogue Jedi, who wielded a yellow lightsaber. The Jedi struck a blow to the back of Haven's skull, leaving a large scar. Haven pretended to be mortally wounded, and killed the Jedi when his guard was down.
Haven picked up the Jedi's lightsaber, and carries it to this day. He had been trained in melee combat as well as fire-arms, and found the lightsaber an incredibly powerful weapon. It was at this time Haven discovered he could hear the thoughts of others if he concentrated. When Khrooka the Hutt discovered this, Haven was freed from his slavery and was appointed Khrooka's right hand man. Being a secretary did not suit Haven, though he enjoyed it more than constantly flying around the universe, and in his service to Khrooka, he learned to speak the language of the Hutts.
Around 1022 ABY, when the Hutts starting making unimaginable amounts of money from the Bacta monopoly, Haven watched the Hutts grow rich and lazy. Well, richer and lazier. Khrooka did nothing more than sit and have his money counted, unaware of his servants and assistants. In the dark, Haven slipped away, taking a small fighter and escaping into the depths of space. Now he drifts from planet to planet, using his skills to snag small jobs to earn a living, constantly evading the Hutts and their Cartel.

FORCE POWERS:
Haven Garrett has a very limited connection to the Force. He is capable of sensing emotions, but has no combat skills tied to the Force.
SKILLS:
Haven has all the skills of a veteran bounty hunter. He is proficient in medium and long-range firearms, as well as heavily trained in melee combat. He has learned to fight with a lightsaber, and uses it mostly in close-quarters combat, or when he is outnumbered. He is capable of making poisons from a planet's natural foliage, and is adept at disguise and stealth. He is very charismatic, able to talk his way in and out of situations in order to complete his bounties.
LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Haven Garrett has no formal lightsaber training, though his style most fits into Form VII, or Juyo. Haven does not fully understand the Force, or what a lightsaber means, so he uses it fully for attacking and striking down his enemies.

Haven possesses exceptional physical skills, being stronger and faster than normal humans due to years of being a bounty hunter. His mind is also quick, making him a good strategist. He carries a lightsaber, which allows him to lie about being a Jedi, wherever that title still carries weight.
Weaknesses:
Haven's weaknesses come from his growing age. He fears he is not as capable as he once was, and now relies more heavily on his voice than his actions. He is more willing to seek diplomacy than he used to be, and sometimes this leaves him at a disadvantage in battle. He constantly fears being found by the Hutts, who he abandoned.
GEAR:
Haven is currently on the run, keeping very little on his personal apart from a standard blaster and his lightsaber. He wears a brown cloak at all times, in an attempt to hide who he is. However, he keeps his essentials on his ship, being extra ammunition or changes of clothes.
SHIP:
In his escape from Khrooka the Hutt, Haven stole a fighter. It is a single seat A-Wing, equipped with two laser cannons and concussion missles. It is a standard ship, can fly at 1,300 kph, and was made by Kuat Systems Engineering.
