Carbine-MassEffectBatarianKishockHarpoon2_zps071d2a67.jpg

Affiliation: The Accord

Ownership: N/A

Intent: Designed as a weapon used by the Huntsmen Militia, with the purpose of creating a hard hitting weapon with a shorter barrel then a blaster rifle, that could be wielded with ease and easily carried and used in tight quarters. It would serve as a good weapon for any looking to do mid-to-close range combat, and have powerful shots designed to outpace the firepower of a heavy blaster, while also providing a bit of stability to the mix.

Model: Huntsman Militia - Harlaw Heavy Carbine ((HM: HHC))

Type: Blaster

Size: It is the size of a short rifle, or medium sized carbine.

Composition: Stamped Durasteel front-stock and electronic storage unit, alloy stock and grips, with reinforced durasteel encasing the circuitry and plasma gas canister to prevent it from damage and exposure to the elements. It's charging systems are designed with multiple heat-sinks due to the extreme heat generated from them over-charging each plasma bolt to give it extra energy, and is encased in an armored box with small vents to an internal cooling system to regulate temperature. This serves as a weak-point however, as the weapon can be prone to over-heating, and if heated too much, explosive discharge of heated plasma.

Range: 200 to 400 meters

Ammunition Capacity: 20 rounds

Description: Designed by the huntsmen militia during the waning years of the orders existence, the Harlaw Carbine was designed as a heavy duty weapon for those of a keen eye and a need for a stable shot. While less fantastical then some of the more eccentric weapons of the order, The Carbine saw its rise in those who viewed their fight as a hunt, and anyone in their sights as prey. Valuing precision and power, the Carbine sacrificed a rate of fire as well as a capacity of ammunition, in favor of delivering a deadly shot with every bolt fired. It's inventor, a man by the name of Harlaw Gray, sought to use the weapon as a way to test his own skills, hunting down enemies through narrow streets or wide open plains or deep forests, the shortened length and compact nature of his gun allowing him to easily chase after his prey. In the end, it was a stray bolt in a shootout which cost this huntsmen his life, but it was his carbine which claimed the lives of 19 others in said fight, a single bolt left in his rifle before his life expired. Since then, members of the militia, and later the accord, have used this weapon as a powerful ranged weapon, and those with an especially keen eye can use it well for marksman shooting.

can it be customized

Any tech item can be customized aesthetically, and I suppose you can tape whatever non-functional attachments you like to most weapons, but any serious customization that changes the function or basic stats of any weapon will need to be a new tech submission. I'd avoid it unless it's absolutely necessary.

On a separate note, please stop spamming old tech submissions unless you have something significant to add.

Archived, due to the double-whammy of the description being out-of-tune with current tech rules and it being faction tech for a long dead faction.
