To say that Iviinyc had 'stopped' at Tol Amn would have been putting it excessively. Her ship hadn't so much as stopped as glanced at the AMS rife world before calculating new coordinates to come deeper into Hutt space. Now the Mandalorian of Clan Eldar flew her Cutlass-9 starfighter closer to the darkened ecuminopolis. The moon still had functioning power in some parts but splotches stretched across swaths of the planet with blackouts.

As the initiate bounty hunter descended through the dark pollution choked clouds, the dull glow reflected off of Nal Hutta cast its satellite moon in an eerie light. The transponder she had for the bounty target was beeping faster, indicating she was closing in. The agile starfighter descended to a decrepit looking landing platform.

No life signs were nearby as far as the scans could tell. But the thick walls and layers of stone, metal and other materials could prevent her from seeing what was truely there. Evidently it did not look like many people had fought for 'little Coruscant' and it was losing its fight against the undead. Perhaps that was also why Geena Callo had chosen to hide here.

The one thing the twi'lek was not expecting was for the illogical nature of the undead. From a level above, bodies rained from the catwalks. Attempts to chase after descending craft had bodies slamming into the fuselage of the starfighter, causing it to suddenly tip and veer into what had been an office building. Shards of glass and other debris fell into the darkened depths of the city-planetoid. The Mandalorian at the controls was not quick enough to avoid the collision, taking the controls, the nose of his ship was severely banged up.

The undead city did not stop the automated service droids that was ironically still trying to work. The starfighter had stopped descending and moved laterally away from the building it had hit only to have the drone impact the primary engine at full speed. A metallic cough and rumble shook the starfighter before it was no longer drifting down, but falling. Angling the ship as it increased speed in its fall, Iviiniyc glanced at the wall she had been trying to avoid moments ago. <"I'm going to be pissed if this kills me"> Maneuvering the controls with all her might she knew that going up would probably end up just getting her killed. The ship was safe enough to lead into a gruesomely rough crash. Inside the cockpit, the Bounty Hunter's eyes fluttered behind her helmet. The faint smell of smoke made the Eldar's armorweave covered lekku twitch. Was that an electrical fire?

Misery loved company, and Nar Shadda was perhaps the most miserable planet in the galaxy. Xolani had a bad string of luck, it seemed. There was a Hutt on Nal Hutta who reportedly had an esteemed archive of Evocii history; holocrons dating back to the Old Republic contained the wisdom of Evocii elders, warriors, thinkers, and priests. Mere trinkets for the hutt, of course, who had been insulted when Xolani approached him. After getting thrown out into the streets, he had been chased off of Nal Hutta proper by pirates eager for his lightsaber. When they followed him into the skies, and later out of atmosphere, the ensuing dogfight had crippled his engines and hyperdrive. His scout ship barreled down towards the surface of the bleak planet, a fiery light in the world's polluted skies. It was a bad day.

Fate had a tendency to rhyme. Just as Iviinyc's own ship hurtled brutally towards the surface, she would be able to see the doomed fighter that Xolani was crash landing, criss-crossing Nar Shadaa's darkened skies. Alight they were, like the twin suns of Tattooine on the windswept desert; if Xolani weren't in mortal peril, he might have found the moment poetic.

Thankfully, Xolani had taken the AMS vaccine before this trip; Jedi who were aiding in the AMS relief effort as medical personnel were mandated to be vaccinated. A perk of the Order he had scarcely considered before this moment. It was a small relief that gave way to a larger problem; from the frying pan to the fire. Rather than be infected and become one of the mindless, bloodthirsty vagabonds of the surface, he would simply have to face a horde of them, all at once, and escape the mandated blockades and quarantine ships that were bound to shoot him down IF he made it off the world in the first place.

A sigh escaped his lips. Nobody said it would ever be easy, right?

After his ship touched down, crashing through the glass facades of many a skyscraper in its fiery entrance, he took a moment to survey his surroundings. His long-range scanner was broken, the plastic smoking and bubbling from the heat of a barely-shielded entry into atmosphere. This is why you always fly with an astromech - he made a mental note to recruit one if he survived. And maybe, to write a letter to his father.

He reasoned his best bet was to find the other soul unfortunate enough to crash land on this stinking world's streets. This place almost felt like a bane to the Force. Reaching out to find a sentient mind would cause him considerable trauma, the pained fragments of consciousness that remained in the AMS victim's minds overwhelming the two sentients here like two drops of water in a mighty sea. He would have to track down this ship, somehow, and hope that its owner was reasonable.

As he looked outside, he saw the undead approaching his starship with an alarming speed. He'd have to move quickly. He gathered his belongings and ejected from his ship, leaping into the air as he searched for a "safe" path ahead.

The bad day just got worse.

Eliza loved her home. She hated the virus that took everything that she loved away from it- but she loved the planet and the many memories she made on it. Now she was back on a strange mission to capture Geena Callo for her superiors.

This invigorated Eliza with rage- she was no simple bounty hunter or another mercenary for the Five Syndicates. She was Lieutenant Eliza Sov of the Imperial Assault Force. However, she did need this extra bit of money for her and her daughter and even the smallest bit of information on Ms. Callo would put Eliza in higher respects to her superiors. This job would prove difficult, but it was just another mission at the end of the day.

Eliza had been one of the first to get the AMS vaccine when it had been made available for the public as she had been on Nar Shaddaa when the virus ran rampant. The damn virus took her husband and nearly took her daughter. That was a story for another time, as Eliza needed to find a place to land.

After her VT-49 finished descending from the atmosphere, she spotted two others who had been searching for a place to land. One ship had crashed through the platform deeper into the skyscraper while the other was having an undead airdrop from the level above. Eliza sighed and took her into a hover and began opening fire on the falling infected before they could jump- but now their target changed from the ship below them to the ship in front of them. Only a few managed to jump onto the ship before Eliza backed away from the building and watched as the bodies fell past the landing platform, missed Eliza, and plummeted down deeper into the dead city.

Eliza had almost forgotten about the infected on her ship if one of them didn’t bang their head on her cockpit windshield. She flew upwards back into the sky and violently began spinning her ship like a corkscrew, which one by one eventually relieved her from the undead. When Eliza returned to the platform, the ship was gone and was now, what Eliza called ‘Controlled Falling’, into the sides of other city buildings as it descended further into the depths of the dead city.

Naturally, Eliza decided to follow.

The lights of the VT-49 were kept off as to not attract more infected (though Eliza noted that they’d probably be attracted to the ship’s bustling engines) and proceeded on the fallen ship’s trail. She watched as it crashed and cringed as she began to wonder if the pilot inside had survived. Her instincts told her to land beside the ship but to keep hers running. When she spotted a Twi-lek moving in the cockpit, she opened her hatch door and rushed to the aid of the other pilot, garbed in her Death Trooper looking armor.

Eliza knew her own ship picked up more hordes converging into one giant mob of dead things rapidly moving in on their position so she needed to be fast, or she’d end up like her husband and she’d have no one to look after her daughter.

A muffled groan escaped Iviinyc's helmet but was trapped in the cockpit of the downed craft. A stream of sparks crackled from a broken piece of the ship's fusilage. This caused the Mandorian to blink a few more times. She had been flying, now she wasn't.

Kark! I crashed! She thought to herself in Twi'leki. The groggy feeling made the Eldar wonder if she had suffered a concussion. If that were the case then she would need to make sure to not fall asleep. It hurt to move and a groan of pain turned into a growl. You've been through worse. This is nothing. Move or die. She psyched herself up, motivating her limbs to move and escape the enclosed canopy.

Pressing the release controls, the canopy of the starfighter began to open. Chunks of rubble that had fallen ontop of the ship and other detritus shifted and slid off the metal skin of the totaled vessel. Seeing movement outside, the woman drew one of her Westar-35s. Whomever was behind the Death Trooper helmet would have the muzzle of the pistol leveled at it. But the Mandalorian held her fire, seeing that even in the darkness, the armored being was not damaged or shambling. <"Back off!"> When she spoke it was in stuttering Huttese. The green armored twi'lek shook her head again but then began to hear the sounds of scores of the infected approaching.

Xolani was running. Not for the first time today, but still, it felt like it was probably the most urgent time. He had managed to avoid the bulk of the horde thus far - his force-imbued ejection from his own ship had helped ensure that. He had little more than his saber and his bulky electrostaff now - which he desperately wished he had batteries for. He heaved it awkwardly in both hands as he ran towards the the sounds of sentient voices shouting. He recognized it as...a language he didn't speak.

Brilliant.

As he approached, he batted an infected or two away with his staff. He conserved his power, for now; he simply opted to trip them, push them away, or knock them down; incapacitating, but not killing. Not yet. As he got closer to the voice and the downed ship, he saw not one living, breathing person, but two. Three souls against a sea of the undead. It was better than one.

He slowed to a walk, taking stock of the undead slowly approaching their position. He shifted his electrostaff to his left hand and stuck his right into his mouth, blowing through his fingers to produce a loud whistle. "Hey, uh, don't want to cause more trouble than we're in, but..." He saw rifles and pistols raised at each other. Time for some good ol' Jedi Diplomacy. "Maybe you two could focus those things on the hordes of infected about to overrun our position?" It didn't feel like the right time for introductions, but nonetheless, he kept a frightened smile on his face. He slowly stepped towards the pair, hoping to indicate he meant them no harm.

"And then you two can settle whatever dispute you're having?"

Eliza put her hands up, the only weapon on her was her holstered DA-34. Her other weapons were stocked on her still running ship. Eliza was furious with the deranged armored pilot- She was trying to help! But she bridled her anger and kept calm, as there was no need to flip out. Especially in the current predicament they were all in.

The strange looking Mando looked like she was about to black out or faint while she lined the blaster up to the soldier’s head. “Woah, don’t do something you’ll regret. My ship is better off than whatever you crashed. I’m here to help. Or you can stay here and see how the infected like a Twi’lek Mando mix.” She took a step back towards her ship with her hands still up. “There’s another unfortunate soul who crashed here as well, if you don’t want my help, I’m going to see how the other pilot faired.” She put her hands down after she heard the shriek of an oncoming group of infected.

She looked over her shoulder to see a man- not an infected man, but a normal man with a staff. His words resonated with what Eliza had said earlier and she nodded. “You need a lift?” She pointed at her VT-49 Decimator with her thumb over her shoulder. “We need to be fast.” The Imperial looked back at the Twi’lek. “You need to make a decision, I’m not standing here forever.”

The angular case of the blaster pistol was painted with black and orange colors. Its muzzle pulled away from the face of the Death Trooper as she focused more on the undead coming and the man trying to usher them to safety. Neither of them were Rodian so that meant neither of them were Geena Callo. Plus neither of them looked undead.

The black armor of the death trooper had a reputation and it was an intimidating thing. A moment after Eliza stepped forward, the blaster pistol dropped down again and fired a single shot. But it missed. The yellow bolt of plasma wizzed passed both the heavily covered Lieutenant and stranger to slam by chance into the head of a walking corpse. A smoking hole in its forehead sent the cadaver still. Roll with it She thought to herself and spoke again in a firmly warning tone but one that said she knew the feminine trooper was not her main concern. "I said back off. I'm fine." She didn't like being helped and hoped they would take it as her trying to be intimidating rather than simply feeling backed into a corner in the moment.

This had her bounty hunting reputation on the line. That meant certain things had to be done a certain way, her way. Clearing her throat, the Mandalorian would ease her way out of the cockpit with the pistol at her side. "I'm not leaving until I've got my shabla bounty." Climbing out of what remained of her ship, the Mandalorian looked for other ways to get lower. "W-what level are we on?" She asked and pulled out her tracking fob with her free hand. The device beeped well enough to tell her she was close, not worth leaving the planet to only try and come back.

Xolani badly wanted to take that lift off-world. It would have been wise to do so - staying on this planet almost certainly meant certain death. There were two major considerations that flew through his mind as he took grasp of the situation: 1) Despite the Mando's bluster, she would most definitely die. 2) The Death Trooper had the markings of a Sith soldier. If he left with her, he was sure that somehow his Jedi past would come up, and it would leave him in another, excessively painful predicament like the one he was in.

A bounty. Another sentient life. A shot at finding a droid to repair their ships and get offworld independently, at least. "Okay, look, you're fine. But, you're gonna need a ship to transport that bounty." He gestured at her Cutlass, crashed and nearly as miserable as his own ship. "And it doesn't look like your trusty steed is ready to take on the skies anytime soon." The shambling hordes amplified their voices; the longer they stood and talked, the slower it would be. "Look, bounty means nothing to me. I just need to find a droid to help me repair my ship, and hopefully yours, too. Odds of doing that are better if we work together."

He gestured his staff at the Death Trooper, Eliza. "So, thank you, but I'm going to reject the offer to leave right now. As a counterproposal, why not we...work together, find your bounty, fix our ships, and get the frakk off this moon before we all get eaten." Or worse. "How does that sound? Any votes?" He raised his own hand. "I know this isn't Senate, but I support it. Let's, uh, just hurry it along? I think a new constituency is about to....filibuster?...this," He was too shaken by the current moment to properly joke about the Senate. That, and, he just didn't really understand how all the different pieces functioned.

"Not sure what level we're on, but let's find out together, yeah? Before the zombies kill and devour us?" More and more stragglers began to approach the trio - not yet the makings of the true hoard, but a crowd large enough that they would soon be attracted.

Eliza didn't flinch when the Mando popped off a shot in her direction. She breathed and waited.
Nothing.
Was it that fast? Death was really that painless? She looked down herself to look for a wound and found nothing. Then the sound of a body crumpling to the ground grabbed her attention and she turned around to see a dead victim of the AMS virus.
Eliza sighed with relief, but as she looked at the other survivors she found that they only found her presence skeptical.

The mutual distrust they all shared was expected- or at least it was for Eliza. She knew her Sith Empire armor would set off red flags. They probably wouldn't believe her if she told them, but she had no interest in staying apart of the Imperial Assault Force for longer than she needed- she was only a Lieutenant because of the loss of several Lieutenants in the war on Felucia. So they made Private Eliza Sov into a Lieutenant, and not only because of the shortage in officers but because Eliza had proved herself in her set of tactical skills.

Eliza was only in the Empire for the sake of being able to take care of her and her daughter. Once she got back on her feet financially, she'd retire and go back to...Working for the Syndicates and taking care of daughter? Eliza wasn't sure what to do. She had responsibilities now and no matter how much she wanted to have thrilling adventures like the one she was in right now, Eliza needed to take care of Diana so that one day her daughter to could go live a life better than what Eliza was left with.

"I'm not a fan of this armor either, but it's saved my ass more times than I can count and I'm offering to do the same for you two." Eliza backed away towards the open hatch of her ship. "You can't find Callo if you're dead." Eliza spoke to the Twi'lek then she gazed at Xolani and said, "And I don't mean to sound like a downer, but your ship is in a serious no-go zone. I wouldn't go after it with a platoon of AT-STs."

Eliza sighed and ran into her ship, leaving the hatch open incase the others wanted to join. She wanted them to join her and couldn't bare the flashbacks of her husband arming the two thermal detonators in each hand- Eliza shook herself off and brought the ship up to hover about five to six feet off the ground. Her scanners was picking up what almost looked like a hurricane, but it was actually the undead.

"Dagit nagit, nabit dagit, shit, fuck and all of the fuckin' above..." Khalid muttered under his breath as he slipped right by a horde of AMS infected heading somewhere else. Like most of the mistakes of his life, the reason he was currently fighting for his life was a very dumb idea that came to him after snorting enough spices to make a Wookiee pass out on the floor.

It all started back at a party where he met a fellow bounty hunter, a confident Trandoshan that was as charismatic as someone with a reptile lisp could be, safe to say the two of them thought they were hot shit and the Trandoshan eventually told him that he had come to that shithole of a planet to hunt down none other than the sister of Preef Callo, but he now wanted Khalid to come along, and shit, when you have a chance to gain so many credits and take down a relative of a bloody legend, how can you pass up such opportunity? Taking her from an AMS infected zone would definitely boost his fame as well, and they could totally pull it off, they were a badass duo after all...Or so he thought.

Truth is, the deck was stacked against them from the start, since they didn't even land the ship before things got real because the Trandoshan got overdosed while flying the ship and they ended up crashing it, Khalid barely getting out of there alive and only because he left the Trandoshan there to get eaten by all the infected. Boy was he glad they didn't take his ship for this operation, because there's no way he would be able to get that one to fly after that either.

"Aight, look at it on the bright side, Khalid, you are still alive, you are still kickin', you got vaccinated after winnin' that game of pazaak, you ain't gettin' infected, just...possibly disemboweled and eaten alive, 'cause that's obviously much better...Sister's right, my brain ain't workin' properly." The tiefling cowboy talked to himself as he made his way through a seemingly empty building as a shortcut, making sure it was safe as he did.

However, as he approached the front door of the building and went for the knob of it, an infected grabbed his right hand through a small hole in the door "Sonuva-!" Khalid yanked his hand backwards multiple times, the infected slamming his head against the door repeatedly until the door completely broke. Going for a bite, the infected sunk it's teeth on his left matukai gaunlet as he used it to defend himself against it, followed by a tackle that landed both the infected and Khalid outside the building, Khalid on top of it.

His left gauntlet pressed against the AMS infected's maw and his right hand freed from its grasp after the tackle, Khalid started to pistol whip the infected, not shooting for the sake of avoid drawing the attention of more of them "Cash in already you good fer nothin', mutated freak bastard!" Khalid said, pistol whipping inbetween each word as he turned the infected's head into mush. After letting out a sigh, Khalid looked around...Just to notice more people, ALIVE people "...Howdy."

Iviinyc stiffened even further. <"I never said what bounty I was after."> She continued in Huttese whilist correcting her shot from last time. The sights of her Westar-35 centered properly on the death trooper armored individual. But the individual walked away and got into her ship not far away. The suspicious indivudal departed, not forcing or allowing the Tracker to interrogate the stranger further.

The muzzle of her blaster lowered as the other man present did not seem to be as much of a suspect. The dangers of the ravenous undead were ever present but the twi'lek knew to be afraid of the living. Turning to face Xolani so he knew she was looking at him, <"Do you know a safe place nearby?">

She would not get to hear an immediate answer as two beings came crashing out of a building and landing on top of one another. The one on top rose up and proceeded to finish the undead underneath which had somewhat broken his fall. The Mandalorian's visor tilted up to see where exactly the man had come from and if there were any more coming from where he had. When he said a greeting she would look at the only other person there with an expressionless helmet that still said Do you know this guy? Is he with you?
