BIOGRAPHY

Gesko'elush'aesuw was born on Csilla to loyal members of the Chiss Ascendancy. She knows precious little about her parents, because just as she was old enough to start forming long term memories, her powers became known. All those with the sight were called upon to serve The Ascendancy and Elush was no different. Her formative years were spent training to hone her abilities while learning about the basic tenants of military discipline. At age 7 she got her first posting aboard the starship Resilience as an honored Navigator. She served The Ascendancy with loyalty and distinction for many years, even navigating for ships in the Expansionary Defense Fleet. Her sight held out until just after her 15 birthday. It was a dark day for Elush, feeling the power she used to help her people slip from her grasp.

She was recalled back to Csilla and though she was treated as a returning hero, all Gesko'elush'aesuw felt was shame. The only thing she could think about was how useless she was now. Without her Sight, how could she serve The Ascendancy? It wasn't long until Elush decided the only path forward would be to somehow reconnect with the Force, even though, deep down, she knew it was impossible. She began to feverishly study the sciences, but even as her technical knowledge grew, she seemed no closer to an answer. By the time she turned 18, Elush had turned herself into an excellent scientist and had even made a few contributions to medical knowledge. She approached The Aristocra, and told them she was trying to find a way to extended the Sight. They were suspicious but hopeful, many had tried over the generations and all had failed, however, the possibilities were too great to be dismissed out of hand. As time passed Elush grew more and more desperate, straying away from the known into the realm of story and fantasy. There were scant reports about an ancient order of Force wielders known as the Jedi.

Gesko'elush'aesuw, became increasingly convinced that these Jedi had some sort of answer she did not. She approached The Aristocra and begged to enter the wider galaxy, telling them that she knew those outside Force wielders were the key. The isolationist views of the Chiss held back The Aristocra at first, but after a few months of going back and forth in the same tired arguments Elush's desperation boiled over. She exploded at the council, angrily explaining the fallacy of doing the same thing over and over and expecting something to be different this time. The Aristocra was taken aback but couldn't argue with the truth of her words. They finally agreed, and the preparations for her journey began. The policy was still the less the outside galaxy knew the better, so she wasn't given much. A ship stealthily brought her to Dantooine and the captain was able to work out a deal with a trader who didn't ask questions. After the few crates of rare minerals changed hands, Gesko'elush'aesuw was finally on her way to Coruscant.

Personality

Gesko'elush'aesuw is a polite and disciplined woman. As a Navigator she wasn't held to the same rigorous standards that the rank and file were, however she still takes great pride in her service to The Ascendancy and holds her head as high as anyone. That feeling grew from her fierce loyalty to her people and to The Chiss Ascendancy at large, and she will do everything she can to protect them. She may seem distant, or lost in thought at times, but she is always listening, and ready to jump back into the conversation at a moments notice. Despite all that she is exceedingly kind and always wants to do the right thing. Elush is always ready to laugh at a good joke or offer comforting words to someone in need. In less formal settings it's easy to catch a smile on her face, though she is not a fan of physical contact.

Skills

Her force sensitivity meant she was always destined to be a Navigator, and Gesko'elush'aesuw's training reflects that. Although she no longer has the gift of Sight, she still has the training of a skilled pilot and an instinctual understanding of hyperspace. Thanks to years of studying biology in an attempt to better understand the Force, she is also an adept doctor. Though the usual policy was to keep Navigators as far from the fighting as possible, Elush still served on military vessels and trained to fight. Her aim with a blaster is at the level that would be expected of any other Chiss officer, but with a vibrosword in her hands, she turns into quite the dangerous foe.
