Character Information

As a child Ved's mother often joked it was good he desired to be a warrior, as no one would see his face under the armor. A face even a Mother would frown upon did not give the young Vizla child confidence in the looks department but ultimately he was in no way deformed. This means few see the man without a helmet on despite growing into adulthood.

One lucky enough to see Ved'in in person without a helmet will notice long greasy hair that is cut to stay out of his eyes, but otherwise poorly maintained in general. Facial hair is seemingly afraid to grow anywhere but on his chin and above his lip as he constantly has a goatee but never seems to shave his face. Looking into his eyes is where many say they can spot the crazy in him. They are wide apart yet large and focused. The light blue eyes would provide a handsome aspect if not for their odd sockets and seemingly never-blinking gaze.

Most of the time Ved wears his personal Mandalorians Crusader Armor that is painted yellow. The helmet is a fairly typical heavy helmet but with a signature 'T-Visor' that is widely known to be Mandalorian design. There are few, essentially none, characteristics that make him stand out from another armored Mandalorian beyond the armor color and the gear he chooses to attach to it.

Mandalore has always been a world divided by conflict. Clans, houses, and even individuals fought for power but always lost it in the end. House Vizla was a small family when Ved'in grew up and even into adulthood hardly held it's own small homestead in the mountains. As a child Ved aspired to be one of the many famous warriors of Mandalore. His people often left the planet to find lucrative work around the Galaxy as elite guards, mercenaries, and more. What was stopping him from aspiring to greatness as well? Death in battle or shame on his eternal soul. That was the way of the Mandalorian Warrior.

In his young teen years Ved spent most of his time training, hunting, and undergoing trials of extreme hardship so he could toughen himself up. It was during these years he developed a fascination with explosions. He focused on this more than most of his peers and by young adulthood was known as the demolition man. Upon achieving manhood and becoming an adult, his father helped him customize the traditional crusader armor to fit both Ved's body and his style. Pouches for explosive supplies, a focus on flame resistance, and clips for grenades were in more abundance than usual. His father's trials and approval meant he was a full member of House Vizla by age 19 and fought to defend their claims.

Ved'in has a little bit of a crazy streak in him that is important to address first. While he has pride of a warrior and a genuine desire to help his house rise to power, he also has a sickening love of watching people, things, whatever explode without remorse. A rival who sleeps near Ved'in should think twice before going unguarded. Often times in a fight he will be excessive with the big booms even after killing his enemy. Friends and enemies alike fear this streak in him if they learn of it. Though beyond this he is an enjoyable person to be around.

The young Mandalorian warrior is quite fond of the warrior culture. He enjoys hand to hand fights to bond with peers and follows a code of honor. One of his biggest values is respect for fellow warriors no matter affiliation. A worthy opponent deserves to die in battle with honor while scum might be left wounded to die later or be crippled. Those who dishonor the warrior way deserve dishonor themselves. Once you break the code, Ved will play dirtier. Death is seen as a great honor when accomplished the correct way: in battle.

Outside of fighting he is a very stubborn man with his opinions and is a bit of a jerk to others, even family. Those who are close to him understand his rude behavior is often in jest and he expects it in return. He enjoys a good drunken night and lightens up a bit at that point. Though he also gets angrier easier so it's a bit of a gamble.

As a Mandalorian most skills are fairly safe to assume for Ved. He is tough, can fight hand to hand, and knows how to handle a blaster pretty well. Where he stands out among his peers is the knowledge and use of explosive weapons. Creating explosives out of odd parts, using pre-made explosives, and disarming/avoiding them are all skills he excels in.

Combat tactics are also extremely important to Ved'in as explosives can be more dangerous to the wielder than the target if bad tactics are used. He knows how to flank well, guide others, and trick the enemy. When it comes to battles and defenses most of the House listens to his orders. Whether afraid of the explosives or respecting his skill, he gets job. As a leader he lacks inspirational skills and he isn't any kind of skilled diplomat. He is the tactics man not the squad leader.

If it wasn't obvious he wears a slightly customized set of Mandalorian Crusader Armor. At his hip on the right side is a holster that usually contains a thunderslug pistol which put fear in many due to its history as a brutal weapon. As it might be obvious he tends to carry at least four frag grenades clipped to his belt. He also keeps a small backpack on him containing a pair of breaching charges and two concussion grenades for special situations. (link to explosive rules)
