STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
The major strength of Gel is his personality. Being good natured and fun, Gel can rather easily make allies. In high risk situations where stealth is of the utmost importance, Gel is very valuable. His light, agile frame and speed make him an ideal infiltrator or assassin. Long years of intense physical Echani training have made Gel a very good fighter in hand-to-hand fighting and swordplay. A glaring weakness is his inability to handle stress, becoming frustrated and angry when things start going wrong. While stressed, Gel is easily goaded into conflict, and, despite his generally positive disposition, is known as a “troublemaker.”

PERSONALITY:
If one would look for a consistent one word summary of Gel from one of his peers, the inquiring party would have a hard time finding one. Gel is a person who is very relaxed and laid back, enjoyably watching what goes on around him. More often than not, though, Gel is involved in the major going on, be it good or bad. He loves life, and takes his opportunities to socialize and congregate to the major scene. Joking around with friends is something he does a lot of, having fun and being happy. Though, despite his positive outlook on life, Gel finds it hard to deal with stress, and gets upset and angered when complications arise. He can easily be baited into fights and arguments, and has a tendency to not be the nicest person when upset. Developed a certain distaste of Mandalorians from the Echani.
HISTORY:
Gel was born on the planet of Thyrsus, the home world of the Echani. His parents were unmarried Morellians, who had traveled to Thyrsus to avoid punishment for crimes they had committed on Onderon. The petty criminals led a low key life on the planet for a while, until the father found out that he had gotten the woman pregnant. Not seeking this kind of life, the man abandoned Gel’s mother. After having Gel a couple of months later, she could not bear to raise him, seeing as how she had ruined her relationship. She then abandoned him on Thyrsus to be raised by the Echani.
Gel was taken in by the leader of the small colony he was left in, an Echani named Kade that had been partially trained in the force. Gel was a happy child, growing up without being informed of his heritage, or why every other person on Thyrsus had white hair. Around the time of Gel’s thirteenth birthday, Kade decided to explain to the child his situation. Taken aback at first, Gel resolved to enjoy life and make the most of it. He became quite the social butterfly, making many friends as he grew as a person. When it was found that he was force sensitive, Kade sought to develop Gel’s strengths as best he could. Gel took full advantage of all his opportunities, becoming an adept fighter and gaining all the knowledge he could.
At the end of his formal education and training on Thyrsus, Gel decided that it would be in his best interest to harness his force ability. Informing his many friends and family, Gel was given Kade’s lightsaber, a gift from an old friend, and set off to find a person who could help him. His journeys led him to several different planets, before finally reaching Dantooine. He began inquiring to the locals about the possibility that there were any Jedi on the planet. Being far away from what is the Jedi enclave, not many residents thought that even one Jedi could possibly be on their world. As Gel was ready to leave for another planet, he was approached by a mysterious cloaked man about the Jedi Order. After much discussion, Gel decided to trust the man, and was led to the enclave.
