BIOGRAPHY:

Galos Winder grew up to a prominent clan of Nagai on the species’ home world of Nagi. His family lineage is revered by all on the planet and are known as protectors of their people. Growing up Galos was told of the great things he would accomplish in his life and was told he would lead his family one day. The Winder family were strong warriors and swordsmen, they wore heavy armor and protected their home and the surrounding villages by pirates, bounty hunters, and the rest of the scum found throughout the galaxy. Space travel wasn’t in their beliefs. No Winder had ever traveled beyond the atmosphere of Nagi. They simply didn’t have a reason to. There entire purpose was on Nagi.

This life was Galos’s purpose, the only reason he was alive. It all seamed perfectly fine to him, he was given a purpose, he had everything he needed to live. Aspirations weren’t really his strong suit. At the time Galos simply existed. Until he met her. The loud, ever-joyful, fearless lavender Twi’lek he had decided to devote his entire being towards. The fact that he even spoke to her was a miracle all in it-self. She always caught his attention whenever he saw her when he made his patrols to the city making sure the needs of the people were fulfilled. He was running an errand for a local weaponsmith, delivering a hunting rifle to a client, when he encountered the lavender twi’lek being harassed by some brutes while she seemingly was walking home from a day’s labor. Without thinking and hesitation, not imagining any sort of consequence, Galos stopped his speeder bike and rushed the 3 bulky men harassing the twi’lek. Taking them down wasn’t hard, he was a warrior after all, a savior of his village and the people, and he was going to protect them as long as he lived. That’s what he though anyways, until the girl spoke. Well spoke is one word for it. Another word is shrieked. Galos was more frightened by her energy than he was the brutes who were now lying unconscious on the floor. Of course, Galos was infatuated by her, but he needed to get back to his duties. The client was still waiting for his rifle, and he was obligated to deliver.

The force is only something Galos had heard stories of by traders and merchants travelling to Nagai for business. He knew it had mystic properties and was only used by a select few. Galos was convinced the twi’lek was using it because somehow, somewhere Galos found himself in a bar sat at a table across from the grinning lavender twi’lek. He found out her name. It was Aeza Freya. The two conversated over drinks. Well, it was mostly Aeza talking and Galos listening eagerly. Paying attention to every sound that came out of Aeza’s enthusiastic voice. Galos was a mostly stoic man, there weren’t many things in his life he had to show emotion for, other than pure exhaustion when he was training. But he couldn’t help but keep a grin on his face while he listened to his new friend speak. At first, she was thanking him for saving her, and eventually that lead to her talking about her day, her life, what she was doing before the men were harassing her. Whatever she was saying, Galos was more than happy to listen. Until… his eyes finally wandered towards the wrapped rifle leaning against the table they were sitting at. Galos, again without thinking, cut off Aeza, grabbed the rifle, and sprinted out the door of the bar without even saying goodbye, He completely forgot to.

The Winder clan carried pity towards the youngest member of the clan. Galos had started to slip, in his training, his duties to the village, and his responsibilities as one of the heirs to the clan. His family thought he was being bewitched. Love wasn’t a pleasure the winders accepted. Marriage and reproduction were to preserve and ensure the future of the clan. Not for pleasure. But Galos didn’t care. He actually thought he was being bewitched, and he welcomed it. Aeza had complete control of him. However, it wasn’t like she was able to conjure Galos every time she called him. Sometimes Galos simply could not come, when his father or his uncles were training with him. It was simply impossible for him to slip away, and it was becoming even harder because he was starting to notice the presence of his superiors surrounding him more and more. Galos was oblivious to the fact that the clan new about his lover. He was way too obvious about slipping away and he was often time found missing from his duties and his various jobs around the village. He was slipping. But he didn’t care. Aeza had completely taken Galos. He was having a hard time figuring out why she was so fond him. Galos couldn’t see any desirable trait he possessed. He wasn’t very bright, he didn’t talk a lot, he wasn’t much of a thinker. Galos found himself boring and couldn’t figure out what this girl saw in him.

One night a beeping noise had woken Galos from his sleep. He quickly blinked the tired from his eyes and smiled to himself. Aeza was calling him. He wondered what they might do tonight, sit together by the riverbed? Take a walk through the city? Galos would love any idea she came up with. He answered the holo.

“Galos, I need you here now” She whispered into the com.

“Of course, my love. Have you come up any plans for tonight?” Galos like the buffoon he was. Didn’t read the urgency in her voice. Let alone the worry and panic. He thought she was in some emotional distress and needed his comfort.

“No, you moof milker! There are people in my house. I… I heard screams downstairs. My mother… Please Galos, I need you. I can hear them coming closer, I can hear more then-”. A large explosion cackled through Galos’s com. He heard Aeza scream, and a grotesque laugh echoed from the background. The com cut out. Galos rushed to his feet. Strapped on his gear. Armor, vibroblade, energy bow strapped to Galos as if he were going to war. He wore his gear like this on daily patrols and his everyday wanderings. However now it felt like he was actually ready to fight a war. Mentally he was willing, anything that would dare hurt the fix to his monotonous life would pay dearly.

Galos sprinted to the rest of the members of the clan, waking them up in the middle of the night. Being warriors themselves they were ready in an instant. They were ready for battle until he told them what had happened. He explained everything he heard on the com. And for some reason Galos noticed they seemed stiff, reluctant, like they weren’t ready to save a being from their village that they were supposed to protect no matter what. “What’s going on? We need to go save her now!”. Galos wasn’t one for raising his voice, in fact emotion wasn’t something he was able to display often. Only when it came to Aeza did his being allow himself to do so. And Aeza was very involved now and Galos needed his clan’s help more than he ever needed before.

Galos’s father spoke up his uncertain expression sterned up, “That twi’lek you’ve been with, she’s making you weak Galos. I know your dense but even I’m shocked you didn’t think we’d notice you skipping your duties and obligations. Obligations you made when you were born into this family.” The brooding man put an emphasis on the word twi’lek, as if showing disgust. Galos was smart enough to figure out that he didn’t like that.

“So? We just let a citizen of our fair village to be kidnapped. By pirates no less?”. Galos was mixed with anger and confusion all at once. He knew his father, his entire family for that matter, to be the most honorable people in the galaxy (as small as it was for Galos). How could they abandon someone like that? Even with their obvious bias, it goes against everything they stood for.

“Galos… I was the one who sent the pirates for her. That girl isn’t doing you any good. You know our way of life, a wife is selected via means to carry on the clan and it’s legacy. You don’t understand no matter how many times you’ve been told. The clan is why you were born. The clan is your entire being, as it is mine, your mothers, your uncles, and your brothers.” This wasn’t anything Galos hadn’t heard many times over. All his life he was reminded of his place in the universe. And Galos didn’t have a reason not to follow them. He had a good life, he was wealthy, with all the necessities of life. Being a part of the clan never brought him any joy however, helping and saving people never sparked anything from him. The only thing that did was Aeza. And now the pit in Galos’s throat had only grown hearing his father admit the things he did. He didn’t have any choice. He ran for the door, if his family wasn’t going to help him then he was alone.

“As soon as you step through those doors, son, never turn back. Do not even think of your family or the clan. I wish to never see your face again.” As if Galos didn’t even hear the harsh words from his father, he didn’t even slow down for a second. Still at full sprint he ran for his speeder. As fast as he could safely drive the vehicle, he speed towards Aeza’s house. His whole body shook, his face red even with the cold wind blowing across his face. His eyes had started to redden and the pit in his throat had only grown. Galos was feeling so much in such a trial. It was almost too much for him.

When he arrived in the suburbs at Aeza’s home, Galos’s legs started to shake, his joins numbed. In the living room he saw both her parents’ bodies contorted in unnatural ways as if they were in motion when they fell. Galos fell to his knees, teers hitting his hands. He wanted to go up the stairs, but his legs wouldn’t let him. It took minutes for his strength to return, and he slowly hobbled up the stairs to Aeza’s room. Upon entering he didn’t see any blood, or at least any of Aeza’s blood. He did see a large green body sprawled out on the floor, back facing the ceiling. Aeza was nowhere to be seen. With all his strength Galos pulled at the green body flipping it around to see tusks protruding from it’s green ogre-like face. Gamorreans.

The pig-like beasts were feared throughout the galaxy as being mercenaries, employed by major crime lords. If the Gamorreans took Aeza alive, that only meant she was to be enslaved. The thought alone contorted Galos’s face into rage. All his senses returned to him, the numbing in his legs had stopped, he felt the blood coursing through his veins, he was almost frightened by his own anger. Again, with all his might Galos sprinted out of the house towards his speeder. He would have to catch up to the slavers. If only he had known where they were going. There were no space ports in town, the only people who could have seen where the Gamorreans landed were the Winders, and they had no intention of stopping the Gamorreans. However, the village wasn’t very big, only a select few residents had speeders. And at that hour, it wouldn’t be hard to hear engines roaring through the village.

Galos didn’t take long to find the captors, he was behind two speeders chasing them down, he didn’t know which Aeza was on. The Gamorreans fired blasters at Galos’s speeder. Galos wasn’t new to evading blaster fire, he had at least a few times chased down pirates and marauders. He easily evaded most of the blaster fire, sustaining enough damage to keep his speeder in working condition. Reaching the edge of town didn’t take long, Galos saw lights off in the distance in the fields. 2 sets of lights, 2 ships that would lift off and Galos didn’t know which Aeza would be sent to. Within seconds of exiting the town the Gamorreans were nearly on the ship, as soon as they would go through the hangar doors the vessel would lift off and Aeza would be surely out of sight, even if Galos made it onto the ship he simply didn’t’ know which Aeza would be on. He knew he could catch up; it was only a matter of chance if he picked the right one. HE didn’t have enough time to think, he picked right and nudged the handles to the side and charged his speeder straight threw the hangar doors right after the Gammorean speeder. If Galos were to have slowed down he wouldn’t have made it onto the ship soon enough. The ship was in the air by the time Galos made it on and he crashed straight ahead into the Gammorean speeder. Galos flew forward from the impact landing hard at a pile of crates, no doubt full of spice and illegal weaponry. Galos, with the wind knocked out of him laid there recovering from the impact. His entire body was enveloped with a blunt pain. Nothing sharp, nothing had pierce Galos or broken skin, his armor made sure of that.

Seconds flew by in an instant and Galos was forced up off of his feet. HE spotted 4 Gamorreans charging with axes. In return Galos raised his arm forward and drew the energy bow at the side of his gauntlets, in a flash of brilliant yellow light he sent 2 arrows perfectly sent in between 2 of the Gamorreans eyes sending them to the floor in hard thumps. He didn’t have time to draw another bolt as the other 2 Gamorreans were nearly on top of him, Galos evaded to the sides letting the crates make distance between him and the enemies. He drew his vibroblade from its hilt and readied himself and the humming blade. The Gamorreans were caught in a surprise as they faced the Nagai warrior held his stance. As the two were themselves readying to fight, Galos was already on top of them, one of the Gamorreans had dropped his axe clutching his neck where a scarlet liquid poured from the slash. The other Gammorean was able to block the next hit with his massive axe. Galos was quick, withing seconds he cut one of the enemies down and had struck at the other. The standing Gammorean swiped at Galos with the mighty axe with incredible speed and precision. Galos was forced to evade the swings, deflecting them wasn’t an option, he would be sent flying if the axe hit his blade. If the axe had landed, it may not cut him in half however Galos would be sent spiraling down the hangar with many broken bones, ending the fight there. Galos quickly backed off from the slow brute. He was now several meters form the Gammorean who had stopped swinging, a snarling smile painted across its face. Galos panted trying to catch his breath while his opponent taunted him. Galos glanced out the window behind his enemy. He was now in space. This was the farthest Galos had ever been from home.

Galos had just about recovered, he raised his sword into an offensive stance when he heard a door behind him slide open. He glanced backwards and his eyes sprung open as wide as they could go. It was almost comical, more than a dozen Gamorreans flooded through the door and had started to surround Galos. The swordsmen still wide eyed, considered his options. Even he was smart enough tho realize he could not win this. There was no sign of Aeza on the ship which means she was now long gone. Galos looked around, not knowing how many seconds he had left before the brutes started rushing him, he saw a door off to the side marked “escape pod”. That was his only option. Fighting would mean certain death, and no one could save Aeza if he was dead. Galos stood, taking one last breath befo0re exploding into a sprint towards the escape pod. In front of him he saw an axe swinging from left to right. In response Galos slid under the axe between 2 Gamorreans and sprang up in a leap, right behind him he heard a loud thud that landed on the ground where he had leapt that shuddered the hull. Every muscle fiber in Galos’s body put every last bit of energy in going as fast as possible towards the pod. A good 10 seconds of sprinting lead to door where he was greeted with at least 2 dozen different buttons.

Galos had never been in space, he never needed to. Other then driving a speeder bike, technology was certainly not something he exceled in. The Gamorreans were a slow creature and took them a while for them to reach Galos fiddling with the buttons on the door. Galos thumbed every single button until seemingly the last, he heard the massive footsteps right near when the door to the escape pod’s door zipped open. Galos took one step inside before spinning around where he was faced with a new set of buttons. He quickly pressed while the Gamorreans were mere feet away from the escape pod. With the click of a button the door zipped closed, with the press of another button lead by Galos’s momentum shot the pod outwards sending Galos’s head tumbling towards the steel door. Knocking him out cold.

The following months after the incident with the slavers (Galos had found out the Gamorreans… Occupation) was of adaptation. Galos had awoken in a tiny room which he instantly recognized was not his own. A lady eventually stepped in and told him all that had happened. When she found his escape pod Galos was knocked out cold without any armor. He figured another group had found him, took his things and left him stranded in the pod. Until these people, who claimed to be bounty hunters found him and out of the kindness in their hearts took him in.

Galos spent the next few months learning how to fire a rifle, a slug rifle, not a blaster rifle. The guild had helped him survive but was only willing to provide the bare necessities to him until he repaid his debt to them by following out bounties. The bounties were a means of funds. Galos’s real mission. The only will he had to exist, was to find Aeza Freya. His lavender twi’lek.
