GALACTIC PARK

Galactic Park is a fully contained Entertainment Resort island, located on the Planet Ifrane. Unlike many resorts, Galactic Park served up its entertainment not in the form of static thrill rides, but as live entertainment - born of various exotic, bizzare and dangerous beasts fro around the Galaxy. In addition to such base thrills, the park also offered a repetoire of support services, hotels, restaurants, nightlife, gift shops, water sports, huttball and even a swoop race track.

According to the hit documentary 'Inside the Cage', the park attacts in excess of 75,000 visitors every day, with an annual footfall of some 50-60 million guests from across the galaxy. Tickets, which start a the modest rate of seven-thousands galactic standard credits must be booked in advance, with waiting lists sometimes as long as a year. The park also plays host to a revolutionary (and highly contraversial) geneitics technology lab, which is rumoured to be heavily funded by Government and Private interests.

Safari Services

Arguably the most popular part of the park, if one was to take the figures from the YEAR BBY survey out of the picture, the Safari Zone of the Galactic Park takes fee-paying guests on an adrenaline fuelled drive through seven different 'Zones', bringing guests within touching distance of some of the Galaxies apex predators. (Please note, the park does not advise guests actually attempt to touch the beasts in question).

Dominating the northernmost region of the island, the area is fenced off by a high electricfied durasteel mesh and barred perimeter wall, with smaller areas similarly cordened off within. Entering through a Security Gate, and ensconced inside an armoured Land-Speeder, guests are driven through each zone, accompanied by a college dropout skilled and knowledgable tourguide.

Zone One, ‘Walking with Giants’ is dominated by wandering herd of Bantha, with guests allowed out of the vehicles to pet and pose with these gentle beasts, and serves as an entre to the more dangerous areas within the Safari Park. Zone Two, Three and Four House Acklay, Nexu and Rancor respectively, with Zones Five, Six and Seven currently under construction and thus not open to the public.

Observation Areas

The Park thrives off the adrenaline thrill of being up close and personal with the dangerous predators of the Galaxy, and it is this thrill that directly links to the parks profit margins. As such, the Park has several cordoned off areas - ringed by high fences over which members of the public may observe the creatures within from observation centers.

Whilst the adrenaline thrill of seeing the creatures brings in the money, the Park also ensures that it provides some educational and conservational value to its guests, and as such the first and second floor of each observation building contains informational displays about the creatures in question. Ever in the pursuit of profits however, the ground floor natural contains photo-booths, branded merchandise and plushies of the creature in question.

Current observation centers contain Akk Dogs, a Bull Rancor and even a collection of Eipoee for the viewers enjoyment. Several new areas are expected to be opened in time for the next season, with lucrative contracts offered for the capture of beasts to occupy the zones.

Hotels and Guest Accomodation

With the Park advertising itself as an all inclusive resort experience, Hotels and Guest Accomodation are a vital part of its service offering, and as such it is happy to offer three hotels - of three, four and five star ratings respectively. Whilst each has the same visual aesthetic with regard to architectural design, the interiors of the hotels vary in opulence depending on the Star Rating they carry.

Hotel Antilles, the only five-star venue, carries the highest price tag, accompanied by the greatest level of service, whilst Hotel Hutta and Hotel Primo (of four and three stars) are noted to be markedly cheaper with service to match.

Private villas are available for lease across the Southern Beaches of the Island, serviced by a collection of well mannered droids. Due to the parks desire to ensure that their premier guests in the villas are not disturbed by the ‘common rabble’ of the Islands mainstream guests, they have ensured that no security shelters are located nearby, to prevent any unsightly ‘mass panic rushes’ running past peoples balconies and garden parties in the event of an emergency.

Security

Ever keen to ensure that there is never a repeat of ‘that time the park closed when those people died’, Management have taken steps to ensure the best, moderatly affordable and not to intrusive, security is in place - but not at the expense of guest satisfaction. Park Rangers are the de-facto police of the region, having been granted similar powers and functions to regional policing forces in order to ensure maximum civic protection for the venues guests. Indeed, many of the Rangers are drawn from the ranks of Private Military Companies, Personal and Private Regional Militia, and even former members of the Armed Forces - all equipped with Trammis Tech Armour and the Galactically known Du-Wop Sun Rifle (after all killing the assets is frowned upon).

The Rangers are ably supported by a collection of Landspeeders and several dozen Airspeeders which allow the security teams to keep a track of guest and asset movements from above.

Guests taking self-ownership of their wellbeing is encouraged, with various security bunkers located around the park. These bunkers can be opened by entering the sixteen didget code found on the back of ones ticket into the touch screen number pad to the left of the door. In the event of an emergency, an alarm will sound and walkway arrows will light up directing guests to proceed in a calm and orderly fashion to their nearest security vault.

Additional Misc Facilities

In order to keep the park running, Galactic Park is ably supported by a network of onsite power generators, a central control tower overlooking the park from the hilltops, from which the park staff and security managers can monitor the ongoings of the park. Inside the tower can be foud corporate offices, research centers and other mundane and bring storage rooms - because what would a park be without them?

A naval dock, to move guests to and from the nearby land-based space-port can be found at the southern tip of the island - accessible only via a bridge (gated of course), to ensure that in an emergency guests are able to proceed in an orderly fashion to the exit boats.

Future/Planned Attractions

Ever planning to expand and increase on the wide range of entertainment options one can enjoy when attending to the park, management are planning to bring an Aviary Dome, Winter Dome, Water-Creatures Lake, Swoop Track, Huttball Arena and much much more to the venue.

History

Founded in YEAR by the excentric trillionaire Max Galactica, initially as a Golf Course for his sons twenty-first birthday....
