Open FWA Emergency Meeting

[Delimar Shanren]

Arriving late, Delimar felt fairly guilty as he was caught up in some internal affairs with his planets recent ascension into the FWA. The paperwork was leaving him as busy as ever, but he found time to be here for the FWA in their time of emergency. Senator Aezz was hosting the meeting and it was quite the sight to see all of his fellow Senators present, as well as the Queen Mother of Hapes. Knowing full well he should have been here the whole time, he kept quiet when he arrived hoping they would not took too much notice.

The topic had been right now Senator Winterblaze offering to go speak with the Sith, but also to establish Sector Rangers back within the FWA. A smart idea. The Sith may be open to cooperation with the recent events of the Killik invasions. The bugs have been targeting more than just a single people so the Sith being friendly is likely. Plus it’s a tactical advantage to keep them off of the FWA territory for a while. As for the Rangers, Delimar was excited for this. It had to be one of the finest ideas he had heard in a while. There was a spot in his mountains close by Caluula City they could set up at.

“Negotiations with Sith is a fine idea Senator Winterblaze. I do wish you luck in your endeavors. As for the Sector Rangers, I am in favor of their establishment within the FWA once again. They were a vital force for our people. So if I may, I’d like to move to establish a stronghold within Caluulas mountains for them.”

He stood proud to be within the Free Worlds Alliance this day, and was ready to make any and every contribution he could.

[Charlotte Le'Anna]

This was taking forever. Charlotte’s eyes flicked to chrono. The Fleet would be ready for mobilization shortly. She needed to get onboard the Ascendant. “The Rangers are not an army. We have made that mistake before…to treat them as such only invites confusion.” She leaned slightly forward. “The Free World Rangers need a home, but they should focus on their purpose. Policing within our borders and working alongside their ISC and Republic counterparts. Our navies and armies should remain separate and targeted towards their task.” The Rangers were a notoriously poor military force. Planetary defenses would do poorly with the Rangers at the helm, just as they had for years prior.

“If Senator Winterblaze wishes to go in Senator Stythani’s stead, I have no objection.” Charlotte steepled her fingers together. “However, I will not agree to a random son being sent to negotiate for us…especially the son of one who had our fleets decimated above Ruusan. If a second must go, we all know it should be Aezza.” She raised a hand. “I know your distaste for the Empire, and I share it…but I trust you to speak for our interests above any other. Your honor and respect are beyond reproach. That is the only second to which Hapes will agree.” Her eyes flicked to the chrono again. “Our position is clear.” The silence hung for a moment. “The Royal Fleet is ready to mobilize for Thyferra and we are late.” Charlotte stood and the camera angle swung to take in her form.

“I will be commanding the force myself. I hope to see you all on the other side.” She nodded curtly and the holo shut off. She took a deep breath. Time to play the part of savior.

[Celeste Stythani]

Celeste had decided to hold herself back in the current meeting as she was still not feeling super well and the after-effects of the concusion were still noticeable for her. She attentively listened to the representatives' opinion and when Aezz proposed the idea of reestablishing the Sector Rangers, she leaned forward. "I, too, vote yes. The reestablishment of the Sector Rangers will aid our purposes and they will help secure our sectors, but I also agree with the Queen Mother again" she smiled, light blue eyes flicking towards the Hapan representative, "If they operate within our borders, they should indeed focus on what they were meant to be".

She leaned back and observed again, her full attention immediately caught by what item came next. Of course someone would suggest her to go...but if she was being honest, it just made sense. Celeste had lead countless diplomatic missions in the name of the Empire and she had been with them for over two decades, so yes, she knew them well. Would they be happy to receive her? Pretty unlikely. Was it her intention to calm the waters? Definitely. She was not interested in a tense relationship. "I appreciate your trust, Queen Mother, and your thoughtfulness and concern, Senator Winterblaze" she adressed the two ladies, giving the latter a warm smile. She appreciated that the other representatives were also putting their trust in Victoria, yet she would not send her friend into the wolves' den alone. "I can only offer to accompany her though. As soon as I'm fully recovered, that is. It is true, I know their structures well and I understand their diplomatic approaches, so I would consider it a good idea" yes...admittedly risky too, but it was out of question that Aezz would go and she agreed with Charlotte again...they couldn't send anyone random.

[Victoria]

That awkward moment during a meeting when a silence lingers across the room and no one is entirely sure who should speak next or what exactly to say. Victoria had been keeping mute after the last time she spoke while continuing on with some office work that she had been trying to avoid, until she heard her name on more than one occasion. There had been a general agreement to send the young senator off on a mission, although there was much less agreement as to who could accompany her.

"Of course, I would welcome Senator Stythani to join the diplomatic mission, if she feels up to it by the time we depart. Although I do wish you the best in your recovery, and that I would add there is no shame in taking the time to rest after the events of Ruusan."

As there was little else to discuss, Victoria signalled her staff to begin preparations for the next task at hand. The challenge would likely prove to be the hardest thing she had ever tried and the risk of failure was high, but despite knowing this, it had to be done.

[Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl]

Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl was about to weigh in again on who should represent the FWA in negotiations with the Sith when he received a notification that rendered the point moot. There was to be a special session of the Galactic Senate, and given the Sith Empire's recent addition to the Senate the negotiations could be held there.

"Let us see if further negotiations are needed after this special session" the Wookiee said, suddenly grateful to not have to hash out too many more details about who should negotiate peace with the Sith, and why. The meeting was running its course anyways, with the Queen Mother leaving to tend to the defense of Thyferra. What a strange turn of events, in which the ISC now entreated the Jedi and the FWA for aid...

Commitments from his fellow Senators to support the continuation of the Ranger program was good enough for Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl. The details and their usage could be hashed out later- the important thing was that they were still funded and active in the FWA.

"Thank you all for your time here today" he said, glancing around at his fellow Senators. "Take care until we meet again." A rare moment of softness from an oft-combative politician; a side that his colleagues didn't often see.

The holocall cut out from Kashyyyk's side, leaving him alone with Celeste and Rrodossk. Almost immediately, a medical team entered the room to check on both of them; summoned by the Wookiee just moments earlier.

"Rest, please" Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl encouraged them. "There is much to do, but the FWA needs you at your best and there is no shame in seeing to your needs." @Olwin @LadyRen

[Rrodossk]

Before the medical team could reach Rrodossk, he reached up towards his right ear hole and tapped a claw against it. His cochlear implant spoke in his ear was a message sent from somewhere else right to him. He nodded slowly, a small smirk appearing on his reptilian lips, as three ships exited hyperspace in the sector. The Carrick-class Frigates approached Kashyyyk with their weapon systems off-line. A swarm of 60 Cutlass patrol fighters jumped right behind their larger craft, along with a singular Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship.

"Father, I have returned with ssseveral new craft to attempt to replace thossse that the other clansss wasssted by not sssending me alongssside you. I have brought my ship to retrieve you and to come home asss victorsss. I shall be arriving shortly." Yossk made sure his ship was prepared and weapons ready to power on any second if required. The lead Carrick had already patch communications in to the planet defence forces to ensure the craft were here mostly to retrieve their senator on their way to Dosh. The small floatilla of ships slowly approached, a pair of fighters and the Pursuer beginning to dive out of the group and down to Kashyyyk. If the Senator was to return from war, he would come back like a warhead.

Rrodossk slowly stood up and silently left the room after bowing to the other two senators (@LadyRen @SlagathorTheUnknown). His grin grew as one of the crew listed off just what craft were above him. The numbers were good, very good. He then began to speak to the dropship's pilot, telling him when the craft was repaired and refueled he may leave. Now Rrodossk stared up at the craft dropping down through the atmosphere to pick him up. To others, he may seem proud that the craft were his and eager to use them. But honestly the only thing he was eager for was to see his son.
