Sith Temple, Korriban
For many a Sith, times had changed. Not too long ago they had been accustomed to walking around with nigh a worry in the world, secure in the strength of the Empire to back them up. She had seen reports of fools landing on neutral worlds, and beginning to slaughter innocents for no other reason than the simple fact that they could. The belief that the might of the Empire was their own had given them a false sense of invulnerability that had made them cocky, careless, and more than a little unreliable. And now, with that rug pulled out from under them, they had found life difficult to adjust to. Some would learn, would adapt, but many would fail, and likely die. And she was perfectly fine with that, there was no place for fools like that in the new Sith.
But while a great deal had changed, for her a lot had stayed the same. She was still on the lookout for those who claimed to be Sith, but acted nothing like one. Only now, she didn't have to worry about wiping their sorry existence off the face of the world. No one would care, that was Altair Din't gift to her, anonymity. With an entire Galaxy hunting for Sith, who would suspect if they fell prey to one of their own? The Sith needed a purge, and for those who did not fall to their own incompetence, she now had the freedom to deliver the end she always knew they deserved. But there were limits to what she could do on her own, without the financial and materiel backing of the Inquisitorious. Today could be the first step in fixing that, in restoring a sense of plausibility to her plans.
She needed allies, she needed help, and there were few she could consider turning to without risk of betrayal. And who better than the new Dark Lord herself to turn to for help. Not only was she the last person Lanfear expected to turn against the Sith, but working with her gave her the opportunity to get to know the woman who would lead their Order. So she waited, seated atop a once dusty chair outside the corridor that would lead them to their destination. Lightsaber on one hip, blaster on another, and a pair of kyuzo petars tucked into the inside of her coat for safety. She knew there were traps and countermeasures waiting for them, and she had come prepared.
