His stomach rose and fell with the fullness of his laughter. The whole scene must have been comical, though he didn't notice if anyone was actually watching as their boat bubbled as it went fully underwater.

His laugh died down as he took in a deep breath. "Oh, is "fun" what we are calling it?" he teased, rolling his head towards her as they lay on the grass. "Those two things are literally the same thing," he argued as she got up and held a hand down.

Jon looked up at her, a smirk still on his face as she stood over him. Sunlight haloed her face giving the blonde-haired woman an angelic appearance. "You're incredible, you know that?" he said affectionately. He finally grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. "Oh, is this exciting part?" he asked. "I guess we will see..." he said.

"I probably should." he said, looking down, grass sticking to his thoroughly soaked pants and the bottom half of his shirt. "You coming with or do you just want to meet up in a bit when I get back from the Hotel?" he asked. Either way, he would start making his way back, pants and shoes making faint squishing sounds with each step.

And that was exactly how quickly the idea of a fun little boat tour over the lake ended it much wetter than expected. At least he took it with humor as well. The hem of her dress was also slightly dampened and the shoes were beyond saving. "Okay fine. I can live with that" she added with a chuckle as he reached for her hand.

"And you are just the sweetest" she replied warmly, however adding, "I'm glad you don't mind the little forced refreshment". Still, this changed plans and they had to head back. "I'm coming too...freshing up sounds like a great idea". Also, this way they could simply swap plans, maybe enjoy the hotel's pleasantries first and enjoy their night in the city instead.

She followed him, holding his hand and so together they made their way back to the hotel quicker than expected. "Aftee dinner, we could go check out the city by night...for now I was thinking, why don't we check out the whirlpool?" she asked, smirking up at him. It was supposed to have a great view over the city and the wet clothes would make it a little chilly for them anyway.

"It reminded me of boot camp, but then I was wearing stormtrooper armor, so at least I got to skip out on the heavy armor this time." he said as they made their way back to the sidewalk. "Great." he added when she said she would join him. "To be honest, I was going to be a little nervous leaving you alone so close to other boats..." he finished as she took his hand.

"Sounds perfect." he replied to her plans. "Though, you think its wise to tempt the waters again so soon after almost drowning?" he asked with a laugh. "I don't think its possible to drown in the little amount of water, but I also didn't think it was possible to sink a boat in two minutes." This would certainly be something to would be added to the growing list of jokes they held with each other.

They walked to the hotel, the breeze feeling a little cold against soaked clothes. He glanced behind, seeing the trail of water he was leaving with each step which brought about another round of laughter. They entered the hotel, and he continued to drip water across the lobby floor. A droid's gaze followed him across the room. Jon could have sworn the thing was frowning at him. "I think that droid hates me." he said. The droid continued to stare at them as the elevator doors closed blankly. The blank look sent shivers down his spine.

She playfully nudged him as hebteased about leaving her at the waters and just shook her head. "Rude. But hey, now you know why the marine has always been off the table for me" she amusedly replied, actually imagining how it would have been if she had chosen to serve on an aquatic planet...well no, she definitely preferred land.

Hee mouth flapped open as he kept putting it as though she had actually been the reason for how they had come dangerously close to capsize. "Hey now! I told you I didn't do anything! The waters weren't as shallow and-...actually, it's just the curse, I'm telling you" she replied with a smirk, however already knowing he wouldn't let this slide any time soon. He'd keep teasing her for ages...

"At least I didn't cause a swoop bike accident" she added teasingly, squeezing his hand while they walked back into the hotel's entrance hall. They received half confused, half curious glances of people they passed which only made it funnier. "Damn how many liters are you taking with you?" his shorts were just so soaked that the wet trail never stopped.

In the lobby, a cleaning droid was quite upset with the mess they caused, but Kalique simply threw it an apologizing smile before the doors of the closed and left them in the glass lift. Again, she couldn't help but to laugh, but that was only until she realized that he was a little unsettled. "Are you cold? I'm looking forward to a hot whirlpool" she wrapped her arms around him and pressed her head against his chest, not minding his wet pants at all.

"Would you ever enter a boat with me again or are you scared now?", she pulled her head back a little and met his gaze, a smirk tugging at her lips against. Only a few moments later, the doors to their rented studio opened. "I'll get the pool going...maybe you can try to remove the wet pants or I'll have to help you.." she gave him a little wink before she looked for the bathroom with the huge window in front of the whirlpool.

The extremely modern model could be switched on by a simply touchscreen display and told her that it would reach the perfect heat in about a minute, so they wouldn't have to wait for long. Walking out of the bathroom again, she asked, "Are you ready?".

"Yes, well, at least you know your limits." he said with a nudge.

"We have seen some pretty weird stuff out there. Maybe we will one day find a way to break the curse and set you free once more." he said, sweeping his out dramatically. "Or...we just learn to stay away from boats..." he said with a shrug.

She rested against them as the elevator climbed back to their room. "Absolutely, though I might insist on paddling," he said with a wink.

They arrived back at their room, and each set to their own task. Jon discarded pants that had tried to seal themselves to his body and slipped a warm robe around him; he could get used to these nice hotels. "Yeah." he said, turning around.

"So what are the no-go topics for tonight?" he asked as he moved towards her. "Besides the obvious stuff like politics or whatever...or is that one?" he asked, half-joking but also wanting to gather some last-minute intel on where tonight might lead.

Still chuckling, she ponderernon his words. "Avoiding them in general might be the easiest solution...and yeah, absolutely. I won't ever touch a paddle again" she playfully replied while still in the elevator before they split up to prepare for the hot tub.

While the whirlpool was heating up, she quickly browsed through the selection of bath essences and finally settled on something fresh and tropical to add some short vacation vibes. As she rejoined him, she was still dressed, but slowly slipped the straps of her dress off her shoulders, so that it fell down on the floor and she could simply step out.

"Come" before she answered his question, she grabbed his hands and led him towards the whirlpool. She stopped in front of it to remove the rest of her clothes and took a moment to admire him before they both stepped in. The warm water felt amazing against the rather cold skin and she immediately let out a content breath as she slipped under the surface.

They could both easily stretch themselves out, but she chose to stay right at his side, wrapping an arm around his naked body. His mind was still circling about to night and she didn't blame it at all.

"Honestly, nothing special. I've already talked to them and they promised they would do their best to keep this casual. I really don't want to discuss politics, so that might be one area we can easily stay clear of. Maybe don't ask my dad about golfing or he'll ramble on forever..but apart from that, we should be fine" she gave him an encouraging smirk, hoping his nervousity wouldn't start building up again. "I'm honestly more concerned about them embarrassing me...but hey, I'll just imagine you in your wookie suit and we'll be fine".

He smirked at the command but, being the ever-obedient soldier, followed orders. She slipped out of the dress, Jon giving a clearly pleased look. He slowly lowered himself into the hot water, releasing a relieved sigh.

He put an arm around her and relaxed back. As she spoke, a finger slowly traced along her shoulder and the base of her neck. "Not a big fan of golf?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Jon enjoyed pretty much any sport and felt he could carry a pretty good conversation about golf if needed. Another topic tucked away in his list of emergency topics if things got dicey.

"Honestly, I came because of your embarrassment." he half-joked. Who wouldn't pass up the chance at some good stories? "I think you're more nervous than me." he said, half trying to convince himself. "Plus, I think I could kill a solid thirty minutes with this boat story alone, " he trailed off.

The water swirled around them, lightly foaming. "Any other curses I should know about? We can get them all out in the open now.." he said playfully.

Relaxing in the warm water was amazing and the upcoming bubbles did a great job on massaging the muscles. It also smelled wonderfully and soon there was steam all around.

"Playing golf is fine. Talking about playing, also, but having him start on his countless golf clubs is terrible. He'll even show you pictures because he keeps photos of them on it in case he needs to show them off somewhere", she let out a sigh as she had witnessed this countless times.

"If you'd be interested in going out playing with him, I'm sure he'd be absolutely delighted, but you could never expect to play a lot. It's mostly...talking" she warned him, a smirk tugging at her lips. Her softly let her fingers run alongside his arm before it moved to his hip bone.

"Maybe" she admitted reluctantly, however chuckling at how he avoided talking about his fantastic play. "Don't you dare bringing that up" she warningly raised a finger, already hearing her mothers words saying 'that's so Kali' in her head.

"Stairs...sometimes water. I also- nooo. I'll rather surprise you with the others if they ever come up" she added, purposely teasing him by not disclosing more information. "You know that's pretty mean though" she added with a smirk before she glanced out of the window which revealed the countless skyscrapers. "Do you have your replies rehearsed in your head already? What would you reply if my dad asked you for your intentions with his precious daughter?" she curiously wanted to know as she placed her head on his chest.

He smiled as she explained her father's obsession. It served to humanize them further, easing his mind about the dinner later. "Hey, that doesn't sound like a half-bad idea.." he replied to her suggestion of playing golf. Jon could certainly hold his own.

Of course, he brushed past the theatre comment. It was his special way of dealing with the topic, pretending he didn't hear a thing. There was a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless, that she forgot about it. That seemed increasingly unlikely, but he held fast to his strategy.

"What? Why!?" he protested. "Its a good story..." he said, reassuring her. "Though I guess we pull out the Ewok photo and discuss that..." he said with a sly grin. That he would never do, he enjoyed the joke privately, but it was still a good threat to make.

Her next question caught him off guard, causing his breath to catch as he let out a cough. "Hrrm?" he said, stumbling with his words. His mind was far too relaxed to have that question thrown at him. "I mean...No I didn't rehearse...should I?" he asked, his body tensing slightly. Let's see; he could do this. "Well, I would say..." he said, rallying his thoughts. "That I love you, and I intend to protect and continue to love you for however long you let me..." he said. "That's terrible, isn't it..." he said, starting to panic. "You think he is going to ask that?" he asked. He knew how he felt about her; words were hard, though.

He seemed rather happy with the idea and she could actually see it. If they'd ever got time off at the same time, why not? They could go play together and she'd just ignore the golf club talk and they'd probably have a fun day. "I'll add that to the list" she replied happily, letting out a content breath.

As he suddenly mentioned the Ewok photo out of the blue, her mouth flapped open and she stared at him accusingly. Kriff...he really still had it. "If you do that, I might accidentally squash your phone through the Force. You know...sometimes when I clench my fist the Force is coiled around a random object" she shrugged with a teasing chuckle, still softly stroking him.

Her question almost ripped him out of his relaxation so she softly added, "No...no no you don't have to", reassuringly giving him a smile. He still visibly struggled for words and while she hadn't been sure whether as prepared as he always was, he had sorted out his words already, she then learnt that he hadn't, which let her smirk just widen.

"Noo! Absolutely not. That's perfect! Adorable and very authentic...so right on point" she pulled him closer and softly kissed him, wondering whether her dad would poke him for a more concrete answer, but she settled on how he'd simply behave. He'd see that he was indeed deeply in love with her and as the feelings were genuinely mutual, why would he ask for more.

"Well, he can be direct and is conservative, but you've just proven you can handle it well" she really didn't want him to be nervous, yet it was probably better if he knew. "Don't worry, baby. They'll love you" she softly met his gaze again, her body nestled to his. "Honestly, just be yourself. Their skin was already well soaked in the water and perfectly soft thanks to the essential oils on the bath essences.

As the sun was a little lower on the horizon, they were being met by warm orange, half-golden sunrays. "Turn around" she urged him after another moment, motioning for him to turn onto his belly so that she could climb onto him. "Look at how tense you've gotten. There's no need to worry" she softly started massaging him, however slowly adding more pressure as she tried to soothe his muscles a little.

"And destroy the photos we took today!?" he said with feigned shock, holding his hand over his chest. "You wouldn't?!" he said, expressing fading to a grin. He actually bet she wouldn't. His phone was safe from any "accidents" for now. However, he would have to safeguard his picture.

She reassured him as he bumbled his words. He returned her kiss before relaxing back down into the water. He could be himself, and he knew how he felt about her, and as long as she knew, he didn't need to worry about the rest.

He gave her a look when she first told him to turn around but finally shifted to a shallow ledge at the far side of the pool at further prodding. He lay on his stomach, still mostly submerged in the warm water. As hands dug into his back he let out a deep breath. The life of a stormtrooper, even an officer, was not easy. He had found himself sleeping on just about every conceivable surface the Galaxy had to offer, the vast majority terrible for your back. "That is..." he said, letting out a relaxed breath. "...perfect..." he said with his eyes closed.

The first shadows cast by the late afternoon sun meant they would need to get ready soon, but now he let long-forgotten knots in his back relax. "Thanks for sinking that boat...this is nice.." he said with a relaxed tone. "Its almost like you planned it all.." he opened and glanced back at her.

Her eyes playfully narrowed while her tone shifted into seriousness. "Okay..fair. But don't you have a cloud saving your stuff? But actually, what about that:" she leaned closer and lowered her voice. "What do I have to do to make you delete it? I'd still keep it, obviously, but how much do I have to pay?" she then dramatically pleaded before she broke into laughter again.

"Just you wait until I see your play..." she still added, knowing that soon she'd have some leverage as well and she already knew that it would be hilarious one way or another. Their playful banter faded into the massage soon after and she did her best to work out those knots and tensions.

He had a point. This was indeed perfect. The warmth, the bubbles, the bodily contact: She didn't even want to leave, but they'd have to get ready first. For now though, she was happy he fully allowed himself to relax while she worked on his back until he reopened his eyes.

She then sunk back into the water until she was mostly submerged as well before she wrapped herself into his embrace. "You're very welcome...although it worries me that you've already figured out what had plotted" she responded with a smirk, meeting his gaze. "Do you feel ready to get dressed again?", she softly asked, gently cupping his cheeks before she let her lips melt against his another time.

Did he have the stuff backed up? He wasn't really sure. She then leaned in, body pressing against his, and spoke in a low voice, barely above the sound of the pool. He looked into her Jade eyes as if he was contemplating her question before a grin reappeared. "Why would I want to erase something from our first mission together?" he asked innocently.

"Yes, that will certainly be...something special.." he replied. At this point, he had accepted that it was inevitable that he was going to have to share that with her. Though, that didn't bother him all that much anymore.

Relaxation and pleasure shot through his body at her touch. She let him sit back down, pulling her into his arms."Oh yeah, I have you all figured it out." he said. That was not true, but he at least hoped he sounded confident.

"Yeah, I think so." he said as she kissed him one last time. He held on to her for just a little bit longer before it was finally time for them to get ready.

He wrapped a towel around himself as he stepped out of the pool. He admired the view one last time before starting to get ready.

Damn it...he obviously had a point. It was a precious memory, even if the end had been different than expected. "Mhh...because the most precious memories are saved right here" she moved a finger to his head, chuckling as she did.

"I mean...doesn't the photo just make you jealous? We've been quite entangled" she jokingly argued with another smirk, before she accepted that he'd never allow her to remove it from his phone. "Fine...keep it for your own amusement then, but if you ever there to show this to anyone, we'll have a big problem". She tried to voice it seriously, but she didn't manage to put down the amused smirk.

She was still immensely looking forward to his play and almost couldn't wait to see, so it still was a pity how it dwelled on Spintir. Still, she was looking forward to meeting his parents even more, so that she softly replied, "Oh it absolutely will be".

It was true that he was the person who knew her best. They've already been through a lot and they have always enjoyed their long, deep conversations where no one held back certain details. Opening up to him still felt great and she had never regretted any of it. "By now, yeah, definitely...can you believe how quickly time flew? Endor was...over a year ago". It had almost been a year since their first kiss as well, and while she still vividly remembered their first mission, it generally still felt like she had even known him for much longer than that.

For now though, she couldn't dwell on those precious memories as they had to get ready and so she slipped out after him and turnt off the whirlpool, feeling very relaxed. "What did you plan on wearing?" she wasn't sure herself, so she wanted to match her attire to his a little. For now, she put on a fuzzy bath robe and began to dry and do her hair.

"Nearly insane with jealousy..." he replied. "The thought of you running off with your traitorous, rebellion-leading Ewok ex-boyfriend..." he said, closing his eyes. "...It eats me up inside..." he said, opening his eyes again before laughing.

"Feels like a few minutes..." he said. The last year had been one of his life's most challenging, best times. He knew he wouldn't have made it through all of it with her. Even though they had long stints apart from one another, their nightly conversations had always been the highlights of his day. "Wonder what the next year holds.." he said with a smile, meeting her eyes. He was excited for the next year and whatever life had for them beyond that.

Jon's wardrobe had certainly improved in their year together. He hadn't even owned a suit before, his closet consisting of military uniforms, flannels, and jeans. While he still preferred to dress simply, he now owned several suits and didn't even mind wearing them occasionally.

He held up a very nice but simple black suit with vest and a white shirt. She had mentioned several times how conservative her parents were, and there was nothing more classic than the suit he held up. "This alright?" he asked. She was the expert on these things, and he wasn't too proud to ask for help when it came to things of fashion.

"Ohh there we are! The perfect example of your acting skills...the theatrics are unbelievably convincing" she replied with an amused chuckle, "Damn if your Wookie game is half as convincing the galaxy lost an extremely talented actor to the military!". The thought was still hilarious, but while he often chose sarcasm, neither of them could deny he wasn't great with taking on such dramatic roles.

He had a point about how on the one hand, it felt like everything had started just yesterday, but on the other hand she couldn't even imagine her life without him in it anymore. They had moved fast at first, which had been perfect for them though and each and every day she was just unbelievably grateful to have him.

"So am I" she softly replied as she stopped doing her lashes for a moment. She walked away from the mirror and paused right in front of him. "But I already know it will be amazing". She then got on her tiptoes and kissed him tenderly before she couldn't help but to add, "given that you're not disagreeing with my dad's favorite clubs...".

They kept readying themselves and he presented his attire, her smile immediately widened. "That's perfect! You'll look stunning" he had indeed chosen the perfect suit for the occasion and she already knew her parents would approve. She was also doing them the favor of choosing one of their house's colors with her elegant dress and so she really expect them to be in a great mood.

"My mom will be so excited..." and she was excited, too. Her parents had chosen a restaurant and while it definitely belonged in the category of fine dining, it wasn't too exaggerated, which was why Kalique was relatively happy with it. They began to change and soon found themselves looking absolutely stunning in front of the wide double mirror at the wardrobe, adjusting the last pieces of fabric. "We look ready to go" she turned towards him and met his gaze. "Do you feel ready, too?". She was indeed a little nervous now, but also excited for what the night had to offer. "Each and every time I'm amazed but how well you can wear a suit as well". He did look incredible, but him in a uniform was simply more him, but for her the same was true for her own uniform.

He bowed as she complimented his performance. "Maybe you are right. Maybe I was destined to be a star!" he laughed. The thought of him being anything other than what he had become was funny to him.

He set about getting ready, pulling on a white shirt, and began buttoning it. She moved across the bathroom, leaning up to kiss him. He smiled as he returned the kiss. "Yes, the one thing standing in our way..." he added.

They continued getting dressed; Kalique looked amazing as always. As much as she liked to say she had left her old life behind, that was a natural grace about her that lent itself to this life. He pulled on the jacket and straightened everything before glancing over at her. "I feel as ready as I am going to be," he said optimistically. He smiled "It is pretty surprising, isn't it?" he said with a smirk. "And you, well, you always look gorgeous, so its hard to compare." he added.

Jon held out an arm. "Shall we, Lady Demici?" he asked. They would head downstairs once again and climb into a taxi before heading towards the restaurant.

While she still loved her parents, she had definitely brought quite a distance between them not simply by leaving, but rather in terms of her mindset. It had gotten better recently, yet their relationship wasn't as loving as thw one between Jonathen and his parents, but she was totally fine with that.

She was still convinced as they cared for her deeply, they'd stay fine with her always having put her career first, but she knew a part of them was still hoping she'd return one day...well, as long as they didn't plan on utilizing Jonathen for that purpose, there was nothing in the way of an actual good night.

He always kept her spoiled with incredible sweet compliments and this time he just warmed her heart again as they were ready. "Thank you...". She slipped into the heels and quickly slid her lightsaber into her purse, not expecting any issues tonight but as it was better to be safe than sorry, she wanted to be prepared for whatever eventualities especially because there were many 'important people' in town.

"Let's go" she gratefully took his arm, a warm smile on her lips before they descended back towards the ground floor and called cab. They were headed downtown as the place her parents had chosen was a fine restaurant that was located on the rooftop of one of the skyscrapers, however Kalique had made sure that they wouldn't be seated right on the edge.

She informed her parents about their arrival and they quickly replied. "Okay they're already inside" she told Jonathen right as they arrived and she immediately slipped her hand back into his as they approached the elevator. "Okay that's your last chance to run" she joked before entering, stopping for a moment and smirking up at him. She knew he was nervous, but still relatively fine, but did offer the chance for any last questions if he had any.

The city lit up as the sun faded and night settled in. It didn't take them long to arrive at the restaurant downtown. The city was more elegant than other cities at night, with its usual fog and myriad multicolored neon lights.

They walked inside the front lobby of the building together and made their way to the elevator that would take them to the rooftop. "Great!" he replied as the elevator doors opened. He gave her one look when she offered him the chance to run and then broke that he was going to run for the door before stopping and laughing. "You know me, always was too dumb to know when to run away," he said, calling back to a line he had used on one of their previous missions.

As the elevator climbed, he ran a hand along her back. "We could always come up with a codeword in case we need to make a tactical retreat if it becomes too bloody out there. Any ideas?" he joked as they climbed higher and higher.

A moment later, the elevator dinged, and they stepped out into the restaurant. It was truly a beautiful place with various sculptures and a pool with a small waterfall. He let Kali take the lead, not knowing where to find her parents or even who he was looking for.

With the setting sun, the city was wrapped in a whole different atmosphere, yet as busy as it was, Kalique believe life had just began here. "Fair...let's just hope this time, there's no dark presence involved" other than her father's potential resentment if they disagreed on sports...but that was different.

Still, his remark made her laugh and so they entered and ascended. The lift shot up and as the doors opened, a really elegant, fine dining place was revealed. The lights were slightly dimmed and there were plenty of expensive sculptures and plants, but as she approached the porter and offered her name, the tall man immediately led them toward the back of the main dining hall.

In the back of the room, there were less people and Kalique assumed that was exactly why her parents had chosen the table here. They loved their busy events, but as they were interested in Jonathen, they surely wouldn't like getting interrupted.

"Oh there, up ahead. My mom is the one in the blueish dress" Kalique whispered back to Jon as she squeezed his hand. Her parents hadn't seen them just yet as they were engaged in a seemingly heated debate, so that Jonathen would, however, already get a first look on them.

Her father, Trevius Horace Demici, had a relatively stern face - the one many noble business men often wore - but if one looked closely, there was also a hint of kindness in his brownish eyes. He had shorter, grey hair and a perfectly groomed beard. Her mother's face was softer, and it was fairly obvious that Kalique's light hair and green eyes came from her.

Once they were almost at the table, her mom's head suddenly turnt and that was when her eyes immediately lit up in pure delight. "Ohh Kalique! There you are", she elegantly got up and approached the Knight to pull her into a quick embrace before she pulled back. "You look amazing...so happy", and that immediately brought her to glance over to Jonathen.

"And it is such a pleasure to finally meet you. We've heard quite a bit of you...please, call me Lorraine", she happily introduced herself and Kalique couldn't help but to chuckle as her mother actually put aside her usually stiff etiquette as excitement overwhelmed her. Her father, as always, approached her in a more composed way, did however also greet her with a brief hug.

"It's good to see you, daughter". A smile tugged at his lips, but it was rather subtle. "It's good to see you, too". As he went to Jonathen, he offered his hand and a firm handshake. "Trevius Demici", oh, at least he offered his first name right away. Kalique gave him an almost proud smile for heeding her advice.

"Please...sit you two", her mother urged them as she hurried back to her place and motioned for them to sit across from them. Her father waited for them to sit and his brown eyes kept darting from Jonathen to Kalique, seemingly assessing them rather critically, which was why she glared at him for a moment. "I've already ordered wine for the four of us...I hope that's alright?", she directed this question at Jon, knowing Kalique usually didn't mind a little wine on such occasions.
