Felladis Corthal

OrnqNS1.png
NAME: Felladis Corthal
FACTION: Jedi
RANK: Knight
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 23
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5' 8"
WEIGHT: 136 lbs.
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Red
SKIN: Caucasian
CREDITS: 1,000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: A scar under her right eyebrow! You can't see it due to the eyebrow being there, but she likes to joke about it.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTH: 7/10, she does go through physical training every day. Basically kickboxing! Helps blow of steam when she's too antsy to meditate.
DEXTERITY: 6/10, she can bob and weave pretty well too, all things considered. All part of the training.
CONSTITUTION: 5/10, she's about average on that. Can take a punch or two, but don't go too hard on her or it's game over.
INTELLIGENCE: 3/10, a terrible sense of direction, memory, and just general scatterbrained behavior shows that she's less book smarts and more street smarts.
WISDOM: 6/10, while she's easy to trust others and optimistic with people, she's good at thinking on her feet and taking in details on the area around her. It's gotten her out of trouble plenty of times, even if her trust in actual people could've gotten her into the situation.
CHARISMA: 9/10, she's a natural storyteller, and spinner of lies when needed. When trying hard enough, she could charm a Twi-lek out of it's own lekku or make herself seem like the most intimidating bounty hunter you'll ever meet. Her only weakness is guilt, since lying to good people feels innately wrong to her. Even if guilt can force her to be honest, she still has enough charisma to win them back over in the end.

PERSONALITY:

While she is generally cheerful and energetic, she does have a habit of trusting in people a bit too much, at least initially. Once trust is broken, forget about repairing it! Even so, the most retaliation you'll get out of her is a snide comment and a generally grumpy attitude. Besides the trust issues, she takes many things in stride, usually seeing some sort of way out for any and all problems. Brushing off so many problems as simple does land her in trouble sometimes, but it also serves to keep her calm under pressure.

Ignoring the trust problems and grace under pressure, Felladis is definitely someone who loves to entertain tell tales. She's naturally one to be very lax and informal, rambling on from story to story whether to brag about her exploits or joke about the situation. No matter how much she boasts and how many stories she spins, at the end of the day she's pretty self conscious about her own abilities. She knows that, one day, she may find herself in a situation that she can't talk or think her way out of, and the concept of taking a life or defending her own is a bit scary. Even with her own daily training to stay in peak combat condition, her biggest worries are in her emotional state. When it comes down to it, can she truly fight, or will she selfishly run off? Plenty of training has served to boost her self confidence a little, but until it's fully repaired, she'll hide her true feelings under tales of grandeur and adventure.

BIOGRAPHY:

Felladis Corthal was born into poverty on Ord Mantell, kept by her drunkard father after the parents split. This happened before Felladis could even remember, and any time she asked about it, her father would grow enraged and they would argue. Because of this, Felladis never knew her mother... but she could dream. Out on the streets, she would spin tales of her mother being a Jedi, a hero who would travel the galaxy and save those truly in need. Even as gang wars and the drunken ragings of her father intensified, Felladis never gave up hope that her mother would show up and save everyone from all the violence and misery.

Eventually, upon reaching age 7, Felladis had taken it upon herself to save the neighborhood herself, half playing pretend as she grabbed a thermal wrench and threw on the best hooded outfit she could scrabble up. Sadly, the first thugs she found didn't take kindly to being whacked in the knees with a wrench... a few broken ribs later, the thugs seemed satisfied, if not entertained. While she slumped over and cried, however, the target of what was most likely a mugging had escaped.

That night, as Felladis recovered from her prior injuries (and a few new bruises from her father), a thank-you note and some credits were slipped under the door of her small home.

The pain didn't matter to her anymore. She saved the day, just like her mom would!

After some more recovery time, Felladis was out on the streets once again. While she tried to formulate a new plan, her job was done for her: in a nearby alley, a few armed gang members flew onto the streets and fell unconscious. Felladis rushed around the corner and gasped at the green glow within the alley. It was a Jedi. A real, actual Jedi, right in front of her!

After sheepishly approaching the Jedi, she found out that he was scouting for those that were gifted in use of the force. The Jedi seemed particularly interested in Felladis, as if he could sense something she couldn't. Felladis barely knew what the force could do, let alone how to use it, but the Jedi decided to 'show her'. She felt a presence in her mind... as if someone was reaching into her thoughts and memories. Felladis simply clutched her head and tried to will the feeling away... and it seemed to work! The Jedi opened his eyes from a meditiative state and was pleasantly surprised.

The child was force sensitive.

Felladis sprinted back to her home after listening to the Jedi's offer. He said that she could go back with him, train to be an actual Jedi! Her dreams were coming true! All she had to do was pack her things and tell her dad, and all would be well. She was a burden to him, at least in her mind, so there shouldn't of been any problem. Right?

Quite the opposite.

First, Felladis' father was simply shocked. That wore off fast once it occurred to him just how much he could make off of this. Selling his force-sensitive daughter off to the highest bidder as an 'orphan' could fetch him plenty of credits, right? He didn't see it as slavery if it was a child, sadly.

He acted quickly, trying to snatch her up and keep her from leaving whatsoever. There was fear in Felladis, as always when her father acted like this, but it was different. There was also a flicker of determination. Something telling her that HE was the bad guy, and that HE needed to be stopped! So, by grabbing the wrench on her hip and taking some choice swings, she was able to escape her father's grip and start running.

She felt empowered, even happy. She fought not only for others now, but for herself. It was a very new feeling, but a good one. A feeling she hoped would happen more often.

Upon leaving with the Jedi, she arrived at the Temple and immediately jumped into training. Not only did she learn the ways of her childhood heroes, but the Jedi Code and the Masters who trained under it served as therapeutic for her. After all this time, Felladis was able to see her father for what he was: a truly bad man. And she was okay with this. She let the hatred give way to forgiveness, then calm.

Felladis was a Jedi now, and learned to see the good in all living things. Of course, not everything was easy for her to let go of. She still has a short temper, although coping mechanisms and meditation have brought that down to the occasional frustrated, snarky comment instead of full blown anger. In her training, not many people gave her reasons to get angry anyway. Everyone was trustworthy and kind, like her, at least to some degree.

Now that she's finally attained Knighthood among the Jedi, Felladis can finally explore the galaxy and save those in need, just like her mother did. Or maybe she didn't. Felladis did realize that her mother most likely wasn't a Jedi, and that she most likely would never know the truth about her. But she was fine with this. The morals of the tales she made up are what stood with her in the end: she would save anyone in need that she could, and not stop until evil was stopped! The Jedi Code loomed in her thoughts as she kept these goals clear, however. She knew that as a Jedi, she couldn't overdo anything. Calm, collected, and in control were just as important as saving the day, definitely!

Although, that didn't mean she couldn't have a LITTLE fun while traveling the galaxy, right?

FORCE POWERS:
The basic stuff for now! Telekinesis, Force Speed, Force Jumps, ect. Nothing too outlandish as of yet.

SKILLS:
Minor Mechanical Prowess: She's taught herself how machines work on a basic level since she was a child. While she's no expert by any extent, she could wing it on certain devices. She even has her own droid, built from scavenged parts! It's not finished, or in good working order yet... but she's working on it!

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Form IV: Ataru

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Felladis is proficient in combat (at least in her training and past experiences), although she's also good at charming or talking her way out of a bad situation. Even so, lying is hard for her due to the guilt it brings, and she'd rather not fight if possible.

GEAR:
One lightsaber, with a green blade.
A small pouch filled with some basic tools and parts, just so she can tinker with her droid when possible.

SHIP:
She's working on getting one! While her ship mechanic skills are very minimal, her eventual plan is to pick out some parts and throw a custom one together. Since she's not too rich right now, however, that'll have to wait.

DROIDS:
She has one droid that she calls 5K, although the droid isn't very... erm, functioning? It's a work in progress. The last 4 'K's she made kind of fell apart or exploded, but she's optimistic about this one!

PETS:
Nope. As much as she likes animals, they've never been particularly nice to her...

KILLS:
Definitely no kills.

BOUNTIES COLLECTED:
Definitely no bounties either!

DUELING RING MATCHES:
None of these either.

GRAND TOURNAMENT MATCHES:
No fights of any note, really!

ROLE-PLAYS:
None yet, but I'm working on that!

Looks all good for the new TL! You can be a padawan , but you may need to find someone to be your master since they removing the training option. So ask around and see if anyone is up for having a new padawan :p

Oh sweet, thanks! I just gotta figure out the Padawan part or see if jumping up to Knight is easier. I built the character to be accessible to both just in case.
