Stretching her hand out to wards the rippling water that as beneath her, fingers tentatively extending towards the liquid surface, first the tips feeling the friction of the water pull against her fingers, small rippling wakes forming as her fingers skipped against the surface - before with a focused effort the hand was submerged into the cold body of water, feeling the drag and resistance of pull against the hand whilst small waves crashed against her wrist. A bright smile crossing the females angled features, as she watched for a moment longer before directing her gaze up ahead of her. The sight of two stone columns growing ever closer, giving enough indication that perhaps it would be best to avoid the oncoming obstacle.

With a quickening series of rhythmic beating, creating a low reverberating bass sound, the raven haired figure could feel her body be lifted further away from the surface of the water, her submerged hand being raised further out of the river water, until once again it was exposed to the rushing air - with just a few beads of water droplets remaining. With a deep breath and a sharp flick of her hand, all thoughts of the river beneath her were cleared from her mind like the remaining droplets that fell from the surface of her skin back down to rejoin the river below.

2WRZ.gif
The rhythmic beating continued to quicken in pace, becoming heavier and louder as the rushing sensation of air running over the figure's body grew faster and faster, the ground and water beneath her growing increasingly distant. What however grew rapidly closer was the two towering stone pillars, narrowing her gaze the figure banked her body off to the side, tucking in and holding her appendages tight against her body moments before the grey stone structures passed by her vision in a blur - once cleared the figure manipulated her body so that she was pointed towards the ground, her eyes closing as she felt the speed of the rushing air pick up, a sharp whistling sound picking up at the edge of her ears.

A wide smile grew on her features as she continued to plummet head first towards the ground, the rushing wind running over her, the speed, it was exhilarating - yet the rush was to be short lived, as the uppermost and largest of the figure's appendages unfurled themselves back out, extending out to their fullest. The raven black feathers that adorned the figure's wings flaring out and catching the wind, slowing the speed of the figure's descent and bringing her into a glide for a few moments, before the sound of rhythmic beating resumed once again, pulling her higher and higher into the air above.

Ajan Kloss was starting to grow the winged figure, from the winding forests, canyon like valleys and winding river courses. There was plenty of options available for her to head out and find a moment of solitude whenever she had started to find herself overwhelmed by the abundance of the Jedi who resided within the temple. Something that she was struggling to get accustomed to, having spent the last ten years living with just the Hermit Jedi on Skye, it was difficult for the introverted Padawan to integrate into the Order - not that her physical form made things any easier, she could often sense the eyes of other falling upon her, or more precisely her wings.

With a sigh, the figure swooped down, her wings flaring wide open to slow her descent enough for her feet to take the weight of her body as she came to a practised landing at the top of a rocky outcropping that over looked the Jedi temple itself. After a few quick beats of her wings, the black feathered appendages folded in on themselves against her back. The tall figure slowly walking along the edge and with a final flutter of her wings had jumped and was perching herself atop of the large boulder, her bare feet feeling the still fresh morning dew on the stone surface beneath her, her emerald hued gaze lingering over the movements of the Jedi as they mustered in the courtyard below for their morning training sessions , before her head lowered down as her eyes closed with a deep breath., her mind reaching out into the Force.

Kegari made her daily rounds, across the temple across Ajan Kloss and then to begin her training. She didn’t mind being alone but it would have been nice to have a Master, she wasn’t even really a Jedi officially yet. She didn’t know what she had to do to become one, other than discover her Force sensitive abilities.

All of a sudden, a giant whoosh sounded over her and surrounded Kegari with a gust of wind. What was that? Kegari thought to herself as she looked around to see no one else in sight. She didn’t know of any tornados or hurricanes that hit the island of Ajan Kloss so it has to have been a bird or something. She didn’t think much of it for a moment and went about her training.

Until she noticed a bird like humanoid roaming about on Ajan Kloss. This was something that Kegari has not experienced before. Not that she was prejudiced or anything, she was actually quite intrigued at the bird like figure, but for Kegari this being was far more ethereal to be just a bird, this was more like a fairy or at least fairylike.

Kegari sensed that she likes to keep to herself. Understandably so, as she most likely has been the victim of discrimination and prejudices from others. Mainly because of how she looks. Kegari senses that something was troubling her, but she wasn’t sure of what.

“Hello there. I’m Kegari”. Kegari introduces herself. Perhaps this will help the young Jedi come out of her shell, or crawl back into it. Either way, Kegari felt it was worth a shot. She didn’t want to come across too strong that may be a turn off, especially if she’s not the one for small talk.

Eileen was not having a good day. For many, many reasons. Namely, for whatever reason, the winds around the Temple seemed particularly friendly and wanted to introduce themselves to the Vahla Knight. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but at the temple she regularly wore loose-fitting robes... and that was becoming a problem. Luckily she had her normal spacer gear underneath - didn’t help with visibility though, throwing part of her cloak of her face before finally letting the wind pick it up with a sigh.

“The kriff is up with the...”

Eileen’s eyes narrowed as a winged figure began approaching the temple at very high speeds. They weren’t the cause of the wind, but it seemed they were asymptomatic of it’s presence. The winged figure began to ascend, past even the Vahla’s keen eyesight. Not far enough away to avoid the Knight’s senses, however, with Eileen quickly realizing this was just another Jedi. She allowed her shoulders to lower gently and she started to walk to the center of the Temple’s courtyard. The avian humanoid proceeded to land on an outcropping near the temple, creating a gentle shockwave of energy upon re-entry. Eileen sighed again. It probably wasn’t the best idea to be hurtling around at Mach 3, only to reveal the location of their Temple to anybody who’d spotted them. Of course, the Knight didn’t recognize this figure - nor the Pantoran that had made themselves known by screaming across the expanse.

“Leave the Temple for two weeks, and everything gets confusing. Why am I even back here?!”

Eileen didn’t bother to keep her voice down, the words booming from the courtyard and carrying down to the plateau the avian Jedi was standing on. Everybody there - Padawan, Knight, newcomers - paused for the moment to see the girl marching up the pathway of greenery to meet her quarry. The Vahla wasn’t annoyed, nor was she even frustrated, however it sometimes boded better to bring on a strong front and get the point across immediately, before defusing the situation.

“Hi, Kegari. You’re new. As for you... why are you flying around the Temple? You could get hurt, you might lead something or someone here. We’ve gotta be more careful than that.
Force forbid the Syndicates find this place.”

Raising her head up, as her senses peaked at the approach of another presence, the winged Jedi slowly opened her eyes, coming out of her point of meditation, to regard the pantoran behind her. Eyes widening in momentary panic as she picked up on the blue hue of the young initiate's skin, an almost instinctual reaction of heightened alert running through her as her wings spread out to their full span. The slight glance of Kegari's skin invoking memories of the male S'kytri that had hunted her out into exile when dawn had broken on her fourteenth birthday. A relieved sigh escaped her lips as the pantoran spoke out, carrying a feminine voice, and yet the more she regarded the figure after her instincts had subsided and the desire to take flight and escape had passed.

Slowly the Jedi lowered her horned head in greeting, a tentative smile crossing her features before a pensive expression grew. Acknowledging that the blue skinned female had spoken out to her in Basic, a language that until recently she had only started to use. "I'm Abomin...." the winged female spoke, as she rose a hand up to her chest, her introduction being cut short at the sudden recollection of the Hermit Jedi cautioning her to introduce her name in her native tongue, not as its translation in basic - though he wasn't really clear as to the reasoning why. "I'm Atal'Shiar" Atal continued, quickly correcting herself, before her attention shifted towards the other female who had appeared, and with a degree of authority shot through a whole list of statements.

Narrowing her gaze, as she tried to piece together the differing statements that had been voiced in quick succession - her features contorting into a thoughtful expression as she translated the words in basic into her native tongue. A slight look of bemusement flashed over her features at the statement that she could get hurt flying, she couldn't quite understand the sentiment behind it, perhaps it was more from the viewpoint of the Jedi knight where flying without the need of mechanical assistance was a foreign concept. Yet to the S'kytri her ability for flight had been ingrained into her since the moment she was hatched, the first moments of flight taking place once her feathers had grown in, long before she had even learnt to read or speak.

But the question as to why was she flying? That was perhaps enough to throw her off a little, especially as to the comments about being spotted, or bringing the Syndicates, whomever they were to the Temple. The look of confusion lingered over the winged females features for a moment, she was very much on the outside of it all, this was the first time anyone had cautioned her about her early morning flights. "Sorry, until my master sent me here" Atal spoke out after a further moment, her wings wrapping themselves around her body. "I've not been able to chase the wind and touch the sky, without being hunted"

Kegari looked to Eileen and then back to the S’kytri. She sensed that she was reluctant to open up right away. Perhaps the Pantoran’s blue skin was off putting for the winged Jedi. Kegari meant no harm nor did Eileen.

“Nice to meet you Atal. And don’t worry I won’t cause any harm”. Kegari reassures the S’kytri. She sensed that she had just learned the language of Galactic Basic and was having a hard time learning it. Did her master die? Was he sick? Kegari thought to herself as she looked to the S’kytri. She didn’t understand why a Master would leave her to be. Alone. She knows what it’s like to have no guidance. Heck, she’s been on her own her entire life. She knows what abandonment felt like and it wasn’t a good feeling.

“I’m sure flying Isn’t forbidden here, it just took me and a few others for a surprise”. Kegari explained. The fact that she was not scared by it was amazing. Atal explained that she couldn’t fly where she resided before, which could explain why she was enjoying her newfound freedom. She was also afraid of being hunted down, particularly by Syndicates. Kegari didn’t know much about Syndicates so she was not of help there, perhaps Eileen or any other Jedi could explain to her what they are and what they stand for.

Was she about to say abomination?!

Eileen was stunned. Of all the responses, she didn’t expect one so genuinely innocent and confused. This was obviously a new arrival, and the Vahla understood wanting to be in your own natural habitat. Especially if it was this avian’s first time off world. Atal’shiar, the not-yet-sure-what, And Kegari, the Pantoran. It was beginning to sound like the beginning of a bad joke. It was even worse that Eileen sensed the Padawan had fully intended to introduce herself as an abomination. What in the seven hells ever prompted that?

“...never mind the flying for a moment, Kegari. Who was your Master? Did he give you this name?” @Thluna

Eileen wasn’t an idiot. Her species had been demonized throughout Galactic History time and time again. During the ancient times it was said they were so hated, their homeworld had been destroyed. During the days of the Final Order, Vahla were forcibly conscripted as Force-sensitive soldiers or killed to avoid uprisings. If it hadn’t been for New Vahla, Eileen didn’t doubt that her species would likely have gone extinct a long time ago. The woman knew what it was like to be mistrusted and abused because of what you were at birth - she also knew what it was like to be considered lesser by her own, warmongering kind. If Atal’s master had named her Abomination, Eileen would have much more than words with him. He’d been turning over his saber, at a bare minimum. This subject took complete priority in her mind.

“You’re not an abomination, kid. Neither of you are. What the kriff is going on?” @Topher

Eileen looked at the younger Pantoran with raised eyebrows. This was not exactly how she expected to be spending her morning. Training students, yes. This was... concerning. Maybe the Pantoran knew what was going on with that.

A fair distance from the temple sat Byron's workshop. It was little more than a glorified clearing his previous ship had occupied. A tiny portion of ruins sat on the edge of the clearing with various cases and equipement the man had offloaded or dragged through the jungle. Most of his maintenance and time had been spent alone or with his astromech.

The padawan donned his gear knowing that his self displined training was important. Byron noticed progress so far in his form since he had been taking part in group training or repeating drills that Hannibal and other Masters had shown him. Setting off, he began running at a leveled but fast pace through the jungle.

As he was getting his morning run he only noticed the flying woman since her shadow passed over him. The outline was far too large to be a local avian creature. So far Byron had seen much smaller creatures and few predators on Ajan Kloss. He shrugged and continued his fast pace hike, jumping from rocks and bounding over trees. In the current climate it was no surprise the engineer started to sweat.

The path Byron took was not meant to be easy. It had been nearly a week since he had last taken this route, preferring to change it up and not get too used to his surroundings. Eventually as he came up to the rocky outcropping overlooking the temple the man took a moment. Controlling his breath he walked parallel to the edge of the outcropping.

As Byron continued to walk he heard voices up ahead. It wasn't long before he saw the a familiar pantoran but the other two women were unknown to him. As he got closer he realized how tall both the winged and brown haired woman were. But perhaps the most outstanding characterstic of one of them was she had wings and horns. Byron wondered what species she was though her attire suggested she wasn't among the 'traditional' jedi like Eileen appeared.

"Morning." He said, cutting into the conversation when he heard an opening. Byron didn't want to lurk or just ignore them. The padawan introduced himself with a humble wave before returning both hands to his hips. "You guys all training up here too?"

A light smile curled on her lips, as her head lightly bowed at the pantorans reassurance that no one was going to hurt her, before voicing that she was sure flying was not forbidden. A slight pensive expression crossed the winged females features, wondering whether such a case had been thought about by the resident Jedi, for all she knew and could tell she was the only S'kiytri within the temple. The raven haired female then turned her attention to the presumably more senior of the Jedi, given how she had been the most authoritative of the two she had encountered this morning.

At first was the question of who her master was, and if he was the one that named her. Atals head hung heavily with a long sigh, as she slowly shook her head. "My master was Knight Boolin" Atal spoke out initially, as she furrowed her brow as she tried to process her words into basic. "He not given my name, only clan elders can. Not a pure S'kytri, half breed so they named me Atal'shiar before hatched"

"Master Boolin rescued me, when hunted into exile, healed me, guided me, treated me like his kin" The S'kytri continued, her features waning a little at the reflection of how it came to pass that the Hermit Jedi had found her, falling out of the sky and fading out of consciousness after the clans hunters had struck her with a spear. Atals features furrowed for a moment in thought before she eased her wings back a little to provide a clear means to access a snatchel that was fastened around her waist, her fingers drawing the back open and wrapping around the metallic and wooden hilt of her Masters lightsaber.

Looking up as she was about to hand the hilt other to the Jedi knight, the s'kiytri paused in her action as the approach of another, this one a male was brought to her awareness as he stepped into the clearing and greeted those gathered. Offering a nodded bow of her head and wings to the new arrival, before she handed the lightsaber to the brunette Jedi. "Master Boolin old, Said was soon time to join the Force, he gave me his lightsaber and told me ready to join Jedi on Ajan Kloss" Atal explained as the released her hold of her inherited weapon into the grip of the Vhal Jedis hands.

A confused expression soon grew over the raven haired females angular features at the latter comment from the Vahl Jedi, citing that neither of them were abominations - clearly taking umbridge with the word and sentiment, even though for the Skytri it was and always had been her name, whether that was why the Hermit Jedi had cautioned her not to give her name in Galactic basic. Though it wasn't solely the questioning of what was going on that had threw her, after all she had been flying as part of her morning routine, then people shown up. What did throw her was the word used to describe the situation. "What is Kriff?"

Kegari looked and listened to the S’kytri tell her story, she didn’t know what else to say. As far as her having a master. Well she didn’t have one, at least not yet. She didn’t know what to tell Eileen. She sighed and looked to her, and then back to Atal. “Um, I don’t have a master. At least not right now” She tried to answer Eileen the best she could.

She then heard ruffling in the jungle and heard a male voice sound, greeting us good morning. She turned around to find a familiar face, Byron. He too must have been taken aback by the flying Jedi.“Good morning”. Kegari replies back to Byron not even inquiring about what brought him here. She may have sensed the answer already. “Yes, I have been training here. Although I’m yet to have a lightsaber of my own”. Kegari explained

She saw the others with them and felt just a tad bit of envy come over her. Patience. Kegari thought to herself. She too would wield one just as the rest of them. She kept thinking to herself as she knew that she would eventually get her own. The training ones only did so much. Perhaps that’s why they were not meant to take into battle with, as they were the training models.

Kegari didn’t dare mention it, but it did sound like Atal said that her name was Abomination when translated to Galactic Basic. She wouldn’t dare say anything about it, she knows what it was like to be abandoned and perhaps she too was discarded. So Kegari kept quiet.
“Atal, don’t you worry. We were all put on this Galaxy for a reason”. Kegari reassures the S’kytri, it was that voice that Kegari wish she had growing up. The closest thing she had to a parental figure was a Wookie named Purrow, they had a close bond.

Other than that she had no parents, no friends, and no real family. She would have family within the Jedi Order but that was it, perhaps the S’kytri was going through a similar situation. Kegari really felt for Atal, much as she knows what it’s like. So she could empathize with her.

“Well, that clears up any confusion. Master Boolin was wise to send you here. We here will finish the training he started. It’s good to meet you both - official Jedi or not.”

Thank the Force...

Eileen didn’t let her internal sigh be shown, or the relief she felt that her assumption had been totally off. The Vahla was slightly glad she didn’t enter the conversation full blasters blazing, not that it was her style. Despite herself and her training, the mistreatment of others still sparked a righteous zeal in her. Perhaps that was the “spark” her Grandmother had always said lived in every Force-sensitive. The Jedi could measure the sensitivity with science now, but the Vahla always preferred to focus on the spiritual and theological aspects of the Living Force.

“There will come a point where you’ll get a lightsaber, usually when you build it, or find one in another way. For now though -“

Smiling at both young ladies, she uncrossed her arms and drew forward a small and simple lightsaber hilt. Kegari had likely seen the same make strewn about the interior sparring halls. Sure, it was just a training saber, but the Pantoran could learn before using the real thing. The Vahla was about to introduce her courtyard routine with an invitation when another presence approached. She’d never met this Padawan personally, but she’s made a point of checking with the Masters of the Temple on potential students. Atal was a new arrival, so it wasn’t out of the question Eileen hadn’t yet been made aware, and Kegari wasn’t officially inducted. But Byron had been here for long enough that the Vahla had picked up on his progress from afar.

“Morning, Ryker. I was actually just greeting Atal and Kegari here. Got a little spooked with all the flying. If you all aren’t busy, would you mind helping me walk through some exercises with these two?”

A couple of a kilometers away from the temple, a Zeltron Jedi meditated at a small clearing on top of a cliff. She had chosen the place not only due to a breathtaking view on the mountains, waters, and rivers. Another reason was the solitude it offered. Not many people would bother to get through all the natural obstacles and reach it. A perfect spot of calm and quiet.

Yet that morning, something was different. With her eyes closed, Kori could still sense rapid movement through the shifting air. It was too large to be a bird and too small to be a ship. And along with that, the Zeltron felt a wave of exhilaration. As if someone was around. She opened her eyes to see a winged creature fly by, seemingly oblivious to the Zeltron's presence. Caught off guard, Kori couldn't even catch more than a glimpse of the aerial passerby before things went quiet again. However, she did notice that the creature headed towards the temple.

"Curious," the Zeltron couldn't but remark, as she stood up, adjusted her light-brown Jedi robes and checked the saber hilts on her belt. Whoever just flew past her at Mach-whatever didn't feel like a threat. But it was a reason enough to pay the temple a visit. The way back was an impromptu obstacle course anyway, and Kori needed the exercise...

When the Zeltron got out of the forests of Ajan Kloss, what she stumbled upon was a small gathering of other Jedi and Padawans. Of all the people there, she only knew Kegari, the Pantoran initiate. As for others, she might have caught glimpses of them at the Temple before, but nothing beyond that.

A little exhausted and sweaty, Kori wiped her forehead with the back of her wrist, casting aside an unruly strand of indigo hair in the process. "Hey," she said rather confidently, but after a brief pause. "Is there a convention or something?"

Byron's sweaty expression looked between the women though he stayed a few steps away. His breathing normalized and his heart rate returned to normal. But the man's eyes watched the strangers though mostly looked at the S'kytri. Listening to the conversation that had been ongoing before his arrival, he gathered that the winged woman was a new arrival and addition to the Jedi Order. Cool

Byron did not have a lightsaber yet for himself either. So far he had encountered a few instances when it would have come in handy but generally combat was something the man avoided if possible. He wasn't wearing them now during his exercise but had a set of matukai gauntlets he had been practicing with and reacquainting himself with shock boxing.

The tall Vahla whom he had seen around the temple from time to time addressed him after handing the training saber to Kegari. "Oh uh...sure." He wondered if she expected him to have a lightsaber. Aside from his gauntlets and gloves, the only thing he had used as a melee weapon (that wasn't improvised) was the fusion cutter. But like the gauntlets, they were back on his new ship. In hindsight, it would be a good idea to train in his normal equipment to get a better feel for moving with it on.

Hearing an even newer arrival approach, Byron cocked an eyebrow. "I'll say." He said with a smile and short chuckle. Whatever was going on, his running and normal routine would have to wait. A small price to pay for hopefully learning something new.

Kegari looked as Eileen handed her one of the training lightsabers, she remembers the last time she tried to wield one almost destroying everything. She was hesitant to take it. She had hoped that this time would be different. “Thanks”. Kegari said as she retrieved the saber from her.

She wasn’t sure what they had planned in regards to training, but that was until she sensed a familiar presence. It was Kori one of the very first Jedi she met on Ajan Kloss. Perhaps she too was eager to meet the newcomer and was shocked by her grand entrance.
“Hi Kori, nice to see you here we were just getting ready to uh.. do some training”. Kegari explained. “Kori, this is Atal, Elieen, and Byron. And of course you remember me from the last time we met here on Ajan Kloss”. Kegari introduces herself and the others to Kori. But that was it she would allow the others to formally introduce themselves.

Although Kegari wouldn’t call it a convention, but rather a meeting or a conference. Um training conference whatever it is. Kegari was sure that the right word for it would come to her if not, than just training would suffice.

Kegari wanted to ignite the lightsaber, but that was her first mistake during the last training session was igniting it too soon. She awaited until the time was right to ignite. Her eagerness was her downfall. Eager to wield a lightsaber, eager to become a Jedi, eager to learn, eager to prove herself, and eager to just go. She wasn’t the type to sit around.

Although Byron was without a saber either, was he in a similar situation or just felt that he didn’t need one? Either way Kegari knew she wasn’t alone.
“Would you like a training saber, Byron”? Kegari asked unsure of what his answer may be. She had hoped that he would say yes and then we could all train together; however, with Kegari only being an initiate and him only a Padawan that may not be the most ideal thing to do at least not at the moment.

Every time. I get why my cousin didn’t want to teach me now... soon as you offer to one they all flock.

Not that Eileen had any issue with teaching the new arrival, in addition with the ones she’d already met. But her original plan had been to drill in some basic saber forms, preferably the ones these Padawan already had an affinity for. All except Kegari should know the basics of Form I, Sii Cho by now. Kegari would likely be paired with Eileen until she understood its concepts, but it didn’t bar her from participating. The others likely had their experience in Form I, but like the Vahla herself, gravitated towards another existing form based on experience, physiology and mindset.

“Hey, yourself. There is now, I guess. And you must be Padawan Tallis. Feel free to join us, if you’re up for saber practice.”

Turning her attention to Byron momentarily, Eileen noticed what Kegari had firsthand. The Padawan didn’t have a lightsaber. She’d thought he’d at least have been given a training saber while on temple grounds, but thinking back perhaps it was at Eileen’s insistence she’d been given one, as opposed to the normal protocols. Weird. The Knight didn’t want to drag herself back to the interior just to procure one, so... she’d do something peculiar, as usual. The Vahla’s emerald lightsaber fell to her palm from it’s wrist-holster, rotating it so the emitter faced her, handing it to Byron.

“There’s no need. He’ll be using my lightsaber today. Mind the switch at your thumb? That’s the training settings. You can also adjust the blade length with the dial.”

The saber itself was curved, likely not what the Padawan was used to. But this was also somewhat of a test. That lightsaber had seen its fair share of conflict - Ryker would have to bond with it while he used it, unlike the others. Smiling to the collection and internally, she sighed and motioned to the courtyard proper. This would be a very interesting day... she hadn’t used a sword in ages. But it was built like a vibroblade, so, it would do the job. Quickly retrieving it from it’s sheathe - mounted to one of the statues in the courtyard - and guided them to the center of the soft, soil training area.

“I’d like each of us to pair off. Kegari and I will make up team one. Ryker, you; Atal and Tallis will be facing us. This should be a short little bout, but it will give me an idea of where your knowledge is. If you’re okay with this, please take a moment to prepare. Me and Kegari will do the same. After a few minutes, (one posting cycle), we’ll begin.”

Turning to Kegari specifically, Eileen gently spoke. It was likely a bit much, but that’s what being a Jedi was like - you never knew what test can come, at any time.

“So... I don’t know if you know how to fight, but I’m guessing you can handle yourself. Use the saber as best you can, and stay close to me. Remember, this isn’t about winning, it’s about learning. Watch me as you can, but watch them too - you’ll learn a thing or two.”

OOC Sorry Guys, Am gonna have to pull Atal out, not quite feeling the spark with the character.

Raising up from her crouched perch upon the boulder, the raven haired Jedi rose up to her full height, her wings spreading out to their fullest span as she stretched out her joints in preparation for the impromptu training session that the Jedi knight had decided to spring upon those who had gathered within the clearing. Her hand lightly wrapping around the hilt of her lightsaber as she readied herself for what ever drill Eileen had in mind for them.

Her emerald hued gaze panning other each of her fellow Jedi standing around her, whilst her wings tucked themselves back up against her back. A light nod being offered in understanding as Eileen instructed the Jedi to pair off, before slowly side stepping closer towards the pantoran female who had first came to speak to her. Her Attention was soon was pulled away, as the sound of another Jedi approaching in a hurried pace, her eyes falling upon a young looking Jedi male who had seemingly ran from the Temple up the path towards the clearning. "Padawan Shiar, The council have requested your presence" the young jedi spoke as soon as he had caught it breath.

Looking over towards the other Jedi, Atal cast a brief look of confusion at the sudden summons, before figuring that it would not be wise to keep the council waiting. With a light sigh, the S'kytri bowed in parting to each of the gathered Jedi, before turning and following the young initiate down towards the temple

Padawan Tallis, huh? Kori thought about Eileen's honest mistake... Or was it really that honest? At first, she wanted to correct the fellow Knight, but ultimately decided against it. If that's how she sees me, I bet she'll blush a pretty Zeltron when a Padawan kicks her rear. On the outside, however, she only made a nod smirked faintly, yet enthusiastically. Bragging before the fight was not her way, but Kori was competitive enough, and never the one to reject some practice.

For some reason, the Vahla Knight offered her own lightsaber to the human Padawan, even though Kori had two sabers clipped to her belt. The Zeltron made sure to set both of them to training mode and secure the switch, just in case. Just as Kori was about to point out that the other Knight's team seemed somewhat outmatched, a messenger summoned the winged Padawan and evened the odds.

"I've got a spare, just in case. Any takers?" she demonstrated her second saber to the other Jedi. Either someone would take it, or at least they would be informed about Kori's ace in the hole. The Zeltron wouldn't normally announce her backup weapon, and still wanted to win, but not at the expense of playing fair.

"Let's try to enjoy ourselves as well, while at it," Kori winked to her partner and ignited her azure blade. She took the middle guard: blade angled up and towards the opponents at about 45 degrees.

Kegari looked to Eileen, she was ready. Although she wasn’t sure she was mentally ready. She ignited the lightsaber, and Eileen’s words fell on Kegari like a ton of bricks. “This isn’t about winning, it’s about learning”. Although Kegari wasn’t competitive by nature, she was still very eager to prove herself. Kegari ignited the training lightsaber, a light blue blade emitted from the hilt.

She often wondered if blue was the color of the blades of the training sabers were always blue. Every training saber blade she trained with was blue. But that wasn’t the time to contemplate the color of the training sabers.

She then turned to Atal and then another young male Jedi who has summoned her to the temple. Perhaps we go on without her. Kegari thought to herself as bade Atal farewell as she left with the other male Jedi.
“Of course I understand Eileen, if that wasn’t the case I wouldn’t be here on Ajan Kloss”. Kegari replies to Eileen, she didn’t really knew how to fight. She knew how to survive, but thankfully she’s quite the quick learner. However, when it came to lightsaber combat she had a learning curve.

Perhaps the training saber isn’t meant to connect to the wielder after all, it is a training saber. Or it’s weight was too heavy for a small girl like Kegari. Or it was her eagerness that got in the way of her learning experience. Either way, its what came between her going from initiate to Padawan.

Eileen gently sighed once more as the avian Padawan was asked to make her leave. Wasn’t uncommon that the Masters would want to get to know her, but the Vahla has hoped she could do the honors. The momentary lapse in concentration only ended when Tallis, the one she’d assumed a Padawan, drew her own lightsabers. Customized, lightsabers.

Oh kriff.

It had been an error, genuine, but it was still slightly awkward. For a moment, it appeared as though Eileen noticed her mistake and started to act rather embarrassed. But it passed seconds later as the girl realized something - this could be turned to a positive use. She’d already decided to test Byron’s affinity with the Force (the saber worked like any other, the connection however did matter in other aspects), and now it seemed she’d be testing a fellow Knight’s patience. Hopefully the Vahla would be able to correct her error afterwards, but for now, this was going to be very fun. A mischievous smile crossed the Vahla’s lips.

“It seems I misjudged you. It isn’t uncommon to sense a Padawan as strong as myself - I didn’t recognize your rank. My bad.”

Eileen brought her sword up to the base of her nose, blade aiming to the sky before bringing it down in a curtsy and salute. Settling into Niman’s secondary discipline, raising her sword in a reversed low guard. Her saber in her right, dominant hand - the left free to manipulate. Reaching out with the Force, she gently grasped her fellow Knight’s blade in a strange form of apology, before pulling it to her spare hand and reversing it’s grip as well. It was time to test these new techniques against some possibly allies.

“Now, we fight on even terms. Let’s see what these two are made of!”

When Kegari introduced him he nodded and tried to make a mental note of everyone else's name. But he couldn't guarantee he would remember them all immediatly. Kegari asked if he wanted a training saber but he shook his head after a moment. Eileen offered her own lightsaber and the man paused. He had only used an actual lightsaber once before but otherwise had trained in Form I and observed but not practiced the others. The others seemed newer to the Order than himself and he knew Eileen was not a master so wondered if she was really happy to do a spontaneous training session.

He declined the offer. "Actually, if it's alright, I've been trying to work on using matukai guantlets. Thanks for the offer." His mouth hung open for a moment as if to try and remember the Vahla's last name and try to say it properly but then decided to just leave it and not make a fool of himself. But the man understood if the Knight wanted them to practice some basic Forms and not try to just spar against something less conventional. That would potentially defeat the purpose of learning the fundamentals for the other students of the Force.

Byron would wave goodbye to Atal as she left, watching her wings sweep out in amazing display. A quiet "woah" came from the padawan. But his attention dropped to the area of Ajan Kloss where his ship was parked. They were headed down to the courtyard to train from the cliff edge after all so maybe he would make a quick detour and grab his gauntlets before joining them for a spar session. Otherwise Byron was fine resuming his work out.

Kegari thought to herself as she held the training saber in her hand and sighed. She was ready. Or was she? She has this tug of war in her head all the time, and usually they turned out not as bad as she had planned. Only Force visions that seemed so real made her uneasy. Not the unnecessary worry that went on in her head.

She turned to Byron as she had previously offered him a training saber but graciously declined. “You are certainly welcome. It’s all fine with me”. Kegari replies and she mentally prepared herself as she was okay with Byron using his own weapon opposed to using the training saber. After all, not every scenario is going to require a training saber.

After Atal’s departure Kegari felt a sense of relief not that the S’kytri Jedi scared Kegari but her introverted ways put her in an awkward position. Perhaps we came on too strong, we may never know the answers. She had hoped that she or any of the others didn’t offend her in anyway.
