Fiery and fierce, Farja sees herself as a warrior Jedi. She grew up listening to the stories of old, now she wants to make her own story, to seek glory and battle against the galaxy’s evil. Though heavy-handed at times, she does have a good heart, even if it doesn’t always show or come across in that way.

▵Biography


Farja is one of Shaye Chaska’s younger sisters and grew up in the same household on Kiffu. Like many siblings, they bickered and argued but still, their familial bonds were strong. However, this didn’t stop Farja from regularly fighting with her brothers. On more than one occasion, their father had to break it up, especially when the roughhousing got out of hand. Never especially close to her wayfaring, tracker mother, Farja appreciated her father’s presence in the home; despite their large family, he always spared no affection for any of his children.

In adolescence, Farja’s affinity for the force was growing more noticeable; where many Kiffar have at least a partial connection, Farja’s was strong and more profound. For a time, she was mentored under the guidance of the village elders, certain she would grow into the role of a mystic. But the girl was too restless, unwilling to spend her days meditating and chanting. She preferred to spend it sparring, watching the enforcers run their drills and even participate, seeing as her uncle was one of the chiefs.

On the cus of adulthood, Farja’s village became threatened by pirate raiders. The clan petitioned for help and fortified their lands, ready to fight in defense of their home. Unexpectedly, Jedi answered their call, offering aid in the resistance. The fighting was brutal, with many non-combatants fleeing deep into the forests. Farja was not one of them. Against her father’s wishes, she joined the fray and forced the pirates from her home. She even saved a Jedi’s life, recovering a lost saber and brandishing it herself in battle.

In the heat of the moment, Farja slew a pirate, showing none of the restraint the Jedi had tried to exercise. Though she had acted with good intentions, Farja’s excessive force and delight for battle worried one of the Jedi visitors. He feared, if left unchecked, she could fall victim to darker impulses.

Believing it was the best course of action, the Jedi offered Farja a chance to join their order and temper her impulses. They hoped to teach her restraint and self-control, as well as channel her impressive power. She accepted rather happily, knowing the legends of the Jedi, the great stories of heroes and the battles they fought. Believing she would become one of them, a warrior and champion for good, Farja departed her homeworld and began her journey as a padawan. Her father, saddened by another daughter’s departure, gave her a family heirloom, a heart of fire. The stone has been passed down through the generations, with it rumoured that the givers imbue the stone with an imprint of their spirit. Farja would use this stone as a focusing crystal in her saber when the time came to craft her first Jedi weapon.

▵Personality

Farja is naturally a wild and impulsive individual. She’s the type to fight first and ask questions later; this often brings her into conflict with the Jedi’s ‘enlightened’ state of mind. In her opinion, a show of force is far more effective than a bunch of words. Farja enjoys fighting. She enjoys physical training; she would happily train for hours, using the force in a tactile fashion rather than simply meditating and reflecting on the philosophy surrounding it. Deep down, she’s a little disappointed, feeling the Jedi aren’t quite like the stories she grew up with.

Like her sister, Farja speaks rather bluntly, unwilling to waste time or tiptoe around sensitive subjects. She will even call out instructors and mentors, pointing out how their guidance differs from what she would prefer. Farja can also be stubborn, preferring to try and solve a problem herself rather than ask for help or assistance. As of yet, she hasn’t quite mastered how to deal with frustration; on more than one occasion, she will lash out rather than temper herself.

▵Skills and abilities

• Fierce fighter: Farja has devoted many hours to enhancing her fighting ability. She utilized her people’s combi stick design and fashioned a saber staff. Regularly, Farja will be sparring or practicing her skills. This includes hand to hand fighting, as well as grappling and wrestling. Some have started avoiding Farja during these sessions as she tends to get caught up in the maylay, using more force than is necessary.
  
  
• Force affinity: whilst the Kiffar was naturally force-sensitive, Farja’s strength was noticed early. She possesses her clan’s talent for psychometry but oddly doesn’t seem to have much interest in it. Instead, Farja is far more focused on developing her force ability as a tool for fighting, seeing how she can apply it during a combat situation.
  
  
• Heritage: like all of her clansmen, Farja has strong ties to her ancestors and customs. On the very rare occasion she does choose to meditate, she uses her family’s heart of fire stone as a focusing tool. Farja has begun experimenting, attempting to reach out to her deceased familial ties, hoping for guidance when needed. This has so far been unsuccessful and requires more patience as well as training.
  
  
• Outdoorsman: Farja is most comfortable in more natural environments. She enjoys jungle landscapes especially as it reminds her of her homeworld. Having numerous experiences with many plants and animals, Farja likes surrounding herself in nature, training amongst it. Rather than sleep in the Jedi accommodations and lodgings, she will often prefer being outside.
