One of the key locations that Oren Zapan had discovered on the holo-map, was located on the planet of Hinari, which seemed to be an odd coincidence, as he was aware that he had been born on the planet, before he was sold into slavery. It seemed fitting that he would be brought to this planet, as the hunt for Wyck's holocron had the Jedi Master facing some of his toughest memories and pains, and allowed him to center himself. Things were still raw with Nashyr's death, but he was slowly coming to accept it. There were many in the Order that needed him, and he couldn't let them down.

Oren didn't know what to expect when he arrived on the planet, but he was glad that Vin was here with him. The two had met several times, and they had taken down a Knight of Ren together. She was a strong and competent Jedi, though secretly he was happy that he knew he could lean on her for guidance. "Follow the North Star.." He'd say as he peered up towards the night sky, the two of them found themselves on a small trail that lead through one of the planets many meadows. "Do you think we'll have to walk the whole planet?" A soft smile would form on his face as he peered towards the Jedi.

When Oren had approached her to join him on an expedition to seek out an ancient Holocron she had at first wondered if this was the right time to go treasure hunting. But the more she had thought about it, the more she realized that it might actually be just what he needed. She hadn't known him for a very long time, her own isolation having kept her distant from most of the Jedi Order, but she knew enough to know that the Jedi Master had been through a lot recently. And she got the feeling that this quest might help him find a lot more than just some long lost holocron. So she had agreed to join him, unaware that he had a history with the planet he had brought them to.

"Not scared of a little walking, are you?" She replied to the Jedi Master's question with a smirk, pleased to see that despite everything the Jedi Master's spirit hadn't been broken. "We aren't too far from the ship," she said, raising a hand to point her thumb back towards the way they had been walking from, "I'm sure I could strip some parts to make a walker for you. What say?"

She would be about to say more when a shadow passed overhead, and she glanced up just in time to notice a winged creature flying high up. So high up that she had to wonder how big it must be for it to have cast as big a shadow as it had. She let out a whistle, eyes locked on the sky to see if the thing returned, but it seemed like it had no interest in them and was already gone. "Any idea if things like that are common here? Please don't tell me we'll face giant bugs soon." Memories of her recent trip to Geonosis were still fresh in her mind, and she wasn't excited about the prospect of facing anything that reminded her of that trip.

The Jedi Master had been feeling a temporary form of peace at the moment, and Vin's joking seemed to help do the trick. "Well, I carried an injured Padawan across a molten hellish landscape," he'd grin as he continued to walk, he'd raise his charred and burnt left hand, "I even climbed a smoldering cliff, just to make sure he escaped...."

His words would trail away as he thought back to Ifrane and his mind quickly reflected on Saul, he wouldn't push the thoughts away, and quickly accepted the fact that he had lost them, he couldn't dwell on it for much longer, he needed to find a way to get past his feelings and to accept that they were still with him--but, certain things were easier said than done.

He felt the shadow from above, and saw a large creature flying high above. "Well, you whistling at it is going to seem to attract the attention of it," he'd chuckle as he slowly descended down a hill, his eye peering towards the sky to see if he saw the thing or the North Star.

"Giant bugs...that sounds like a personal experience, I don't think I really want to know about it," he'd grin as they made their way into a small village, that was dimly lit. It seemed that most people had already retired for the night, but possibly there was something they could find here, answers about this North Star and whatever the kriff that flying giant was. "There's a cantina..we should stop and get something to drink, before we keep on moving."

As the two would walk in, they would find that it was mostly empty, except for one or two locals who would shoot a glare towards the two out of place Jedi. Though one thing would possibly catch the eyes of Vin, the bartender was an older gentlemen with sharp grey hair, and deep wrinkles around his cheeks and face, but he possibly looked familiar. It almost seemed as if he had the same markings that Oren had.

It didn't take a Jedi Master to sense the momentary change in Oren's demeanor, despite the cheery front he put on, she knew he must feel the pain of recent events. But she said nothing about it, letting it slip by seemingly unnoticed. He was already on the right path, beyond that time was all he needed. Support he had, from the entire Jedi Order if he needed it, but time would soothe the pain of these wounds better than anything else could.

"Trust me," she said in response to his comment about the giant bugs, face darkening momentarily at the thought of the things she had seen, "you don't. This, this was like something out of a nightmare. Zombies, bug zombies. You have no idea how bad reanimated bug juices smell like." She shook her head and pushed the memory away, feeling a slight shudder run through her spine at the very thought of that night.

Following Oren into the bar, she would take a seat as well, and the old man's marking would not escape her. She would watch him for a moment before turning back to Oren. "Is that common here as well? I have a feeling I am missing a part of the story here. Is this where you're from?" She'd use a finger to trace the face patterns on her own face as she spoke.
