Atraxis was right. Alesha couldn’t just spend her time here in a bar talking about her problems, she needed to face them head on. As scared as she was, Alesha was still a Mandalorian; nobody, not even the Sith could take that from her. The woman closed her eyes, imagining the family she’d lost, promising them to retake her heritage and her honour. She silently vowed that when she donned her Beskar once again, she’d do so without fear and reprehension. The Sith had killed the four people she lived the most, and for that they’d pay. Before her life ended, she would kill four Sith and collect their lightsabers as a reminder of her righteous vengeance.

Eying her new companions and listening to Tsara and Atraxis’ conversation, Alesha realized that on the same day she’d encountered three of the Force-wielding sorcerers she’d head stories about as a child, including two Sith. She was outnumbered three to one, confirming her suspicions that this wasn’t a coincidence or cosmic joke. How it was arranged, she’d never know, yet Alesha sent a silent prayer to the war god of her people, Kad Ha’rangir. However, the Mandalorian appreciated Tsara’s help and Atraxis’ non-Sith style, but the same couldn’t be said for their other drinking buddy. When Tsara made Alesha a job-offer, the woman moved to answer but was cut off by the newcomer, further irritating her. Maybe, if the chips fell just right, her first Sith blade would come sooner rather than later, possibly as soon as this new job offer.

“Tsara, I’d be honoured to help you out, plus I need to get myself back into action. It’s not enough to deal with here; like Atraxis said,” she stated, nodding affirmatively to him from next to Tsara, “I need to confront my demons head on. For me, that lies in my armour and the scope of a sniper rifle. I’ll join you in this mission.”

As much as she wanted to, Alesha stayed out of any further flirting with the two individuals; it was clear Atraxis and Tsara had something together, and Alesha wasn’t getting strong signals from either of them. Then again, if there was anything this evening had taught her it was that anything was possible. Then there was the other Sith she was contemplating killing at a later date. So far, it seemed she was out of luck, as she’d been for a while.

Atraxis stood up and walked towards the back, where the rooms where. He threw a few credits on the counter to pay for the night. "It is good you have decided that, but for now there is far to much rain outside for me to justify trying to swim back to my ship just so I can sleep in my own bed. I am taking room 4, just in case one of you wishes to talk to me tonight or something." he said as he eyed down Alesha, her stares were obvious but he was fairly inexperienced with the finer details of women, or their subtleties.

But you can only be naive for so long, whether or not he would die in the coming days was uncertain and there was no reason not to take an offer when given. He would probably be spending a great deal of time with at least 2 of the people in this bar, why not expand your horizons.

"For what it is worth, I feel for you loss. I can understand the pain in my own way girl. And for a Mando, your not to bad. Easy on the eyes too." he said before moving down the hallway towards the room with a big ass 4 written on it.

Kyorus gestured for another drink, all this interaction had drained him more than any training session on Korriban. He gulped down his current drink and gestured for another, already feeling the heat of the first couple.

"Seems I've lost my edge" He chuckled, burping in the face of the droid tending the bar.

Ordering one last drink for the road he stood up, stumbling over his stool, turning once again to his new found friends. "If this plan of yours is going to work, I'll need my beauty sleep." He said to the party of three.

Not sure if his sentence had come out quite as coherent as he believed, he shrugged it off Kyorus began to walk towards the exit, planning on sleeping in his ship, not quite knowing why he cared so suddenly for their opinion of him.

However before he was able to make his way out the door of the horribly lit cantina he eyed a surprisingly comfortable looking booth just a few metres away. Realising he wasn't making it to his ship tonight he finished the drink he'd brought with him and threw himself into the booth. He smiled. "Just don't forget to wake me up." He said, laughing until you could hear his voice slowly become a whisper.

Lying in a somewhat comatose state. He thought to himself. "Drink is never worth the headache."

As Kyorus drifted off into the warm embrace of sleep he was not sure of when he'd grace the world with his presence once more but when he did, it would be with a bang.

Atraxis’ direct address to Alesha when he mentioned going to stay in a room for the night caught her off guard, but a hint of a smile crept onto her face. He was very handsome after all, and seemed to have a lot of similar emotional pain from his past as she did. As he turned and left, the Mandalorian kept sitting for a moment and contemplated what had happened that night. She’d awoken hungover, had actual conversations with people for the first time in weeks, and come to the realization that she couldn’t squander her life drinking booze and running from her problems. It was safe to say this night could be the most important of her life.

However, she’d also just signed on to a likely dangerous job, with no guarantees of survival. As hypocritical as it could seem to go back to her “old ways” tonight, Alesha hadn’t been with anyone in a while, plus the threat of dying soon was looming closer than it had been before. She got up, threw a few credits down to pay for her drink, and quietly said to Tsara,

“Thanks for everything tonight.”

Alesha walked over to the room with the large “4” on the door, more confident than she’d normally be. The Mandalorian softly knocked, then opened the door as he shrugged of her jacket and tossed it in the corner. She closed the door behind her, telling Atraxis,

“I’ll take you up on your offer... let’s just make sure we remember this night, it may be one of our last.”

Things were in motion. How did Tsara end up here? How did she become what she'd become? The way of life, love, and the galaxy was as mysterious as The Force itself. Eyeing an empty stage as a hip banging beat started up in the air, Tsara stood and made way for the stage.

She felt there was so much happening, and that had happened...would continue to happen. Where would the coming days place her next in a universe that was constantly changing?

There was no answer to this.

To live was to experience change. To experience success not final. Failure not fatal. To resolve one's courage to continue onward in spite of uncertainty.

In these stars, there would always be war, but it was in these minute moments where one found peace...hope even. Remembering The Call on Ilum, and what she had learned...had felt, Tsara knew deep down that everything would simply continue in perpetuity, and that while things came to an end, nothing ever really passed away, but was taken up by those who came after, renewed through The Force and the forthcoming generations.

Kyi had told her the truth, as did Iden.

There was no death.

There was only ever the Force.

There was a stage, and her youth, and her dancing. Spin. Twirl. Dip, and sway. Distant hollers drifted to her ears as she performed, and Tsara knew, come what may, the cosmic whole of life would move on without her, but unlike history, at least it would recall her still in an ever quiet heart.

These small hours.

They were everything.
