DESCRIPTION​

The electroripper is a vicious weapon designed to harness an energy ribbon to generate a powerful cutting field around the head of the weapon. Unlike the thin fields used by Kyuzo petars, electroripper staffs generate far larger and far stronger ribbons to create a more powerful cutting edge, capable of slicing through unshielded materials like weapons or armor easily, as well as making larger cuts than vibroweaponry. Even melee weapons can be cut through with prolonged contact, but without the blade being activated the head of the staff has no cutting edge.

The energy ribbon is activated with the simple flick of a button, and the ribbon runs on a battery housed in the back of the staff's head. The staff itself is also collapsible, letting the user adjust the length of the staff manually to suit their situation. Electroripper staffs are common among criminal guards and other thugs looking for an intimidating and lethal weapon for close-quarters combat.

LEGALITY​

Illegal. Electrorippers are more dangerous and cause more vicious wounds than regular vibroblades or energized weapons, so they are illegal in most civilized systems.

INTENT​

Firstly, to recreate a famous canon weapon from the Solo movie. Secondly, because this is as close as any of us will get to a chainsword in Star Wars.
