Dathomir, Sith Space, Home, 1357 Hours

Finally back home. Dathomir was a feared planet by most of the galaxy. Filled with monsters and horrors beyond fathom. So much unwarranted fear, the planet was misunderstood by those who had not lived on the planet. Many had no care for their home world, much less other ones. But for the Draugr, this planet was special. It had definition, and meaning, and value. Living here is privilege as you learn survival skills, technical skills, and grit. So much history came from the very planet as well. Only those who were strong willfully could survive it's lifestyle.

Arriving today, the Zabrak had brought Sol Kenuk. A champion among the Sith ranks and local demented Kel Dor. Draugr hadn't spent much of any time around the Kel Dor but today was Sol's chance to prove his use and skill. Draugr had one task for today: Become Spider Clan's leader. In the succession of his mission, he would gain an army of Bane Back Spiders, as well as any other large arachnids he may claim ownership to and bring into the Clan. The current leader Ochi Annilat was a respected man. A leader of strong Nightbrothers, and Draugr was not here to murder him and force the Clan under him. There was a common philosophy here. Challenge the leader for their spot, and take it. Simple yes, but it was tradition and honorable.

Leading Sol to the Nest (the cave hosting Spider Clan), he would be dawning his usual robes. Stopping before the entry to the cave, watching the entry point, he would speak to the Kel Dor and tell him,

"If you lay harm to a single Nightbrother.. it will be your head."

Then with that said he would continue to keep his eyes on the cave and wait for the accomplice to answer. It wasn't to strike fear into the mental companion, but more so as a promise. It was threateningly stated nor did he fluctuated his voice to sound intimidating. It was calm, as if just informing someone of any other information. Should Draugr see any of his brethren here, harmed.. the day will not shine bright for the Kel Dor Sol.

Sol knows little of Draugr. He knows even less about Dathomir. Stories were wrapped like spider silk webbing around the galaxy, of horrors and bumps in the night, and perhaps to some, that was warning enough to stay away. The Kel Dor, though, he thinks differently. Fear was a powerful tool. It could warp the mind of even the strongest foe. It could send them to their knees and bleed their spirit of hope. In that regard, Dathomir was an asset. The Sith Master, Draugr, had obvious ties. He was the key, then. The key to bringing nightmares to life.

Sol is adorned in his ornate robes, the heads of snarling wolves glistening upon his shoulders. Something moves beneath his clothing, chitters at the shadow. The tail of a rat slithers along the Kel Dor's exposed neck before the rodent delves deeper into the tangled fabric of his attire. Sol pays the beast no mind as he strides after the horned Zabrak with a chilling gaze. Finally, among mist and shadow, they reach the gaping maw of a cavern. Draugr pauses, speaks simply, words of warning into the Kel Dor's ears. Curious, Sol thinks. A softness for his people.

Draugr should be wise to keep such weaknesses to himself. Still, perhaps there is a better reason. The people of Dathomir thrived off tradition, and Draugr knew it far better than Sol. The Kel Dor inclines his head in understanding, studies the Zabrak with thoughtful eyes that glow behind the thick frame of his goggles. They were here to complete a task. It would offer no benefit to destroy ties with the people Draugr intended to unite under his command. Ultimately, to kill these brethren would be a waste. Draugr could hardly become leader of a decimated clan, after all.

Regardless, the Kel Dor, prideful as he is, knows better than to underestimate these Night Brothers before he has even met them.

"The Nightbrothers will not be harmed." Sol's agreement is as smoothly spoken as Draugr's words of warning, as if the two lethal beings were simply holding an amicable conversation. They'd might as well be. Draugr understood what the clan needed in order for him to gain leadership, and Sol understood that he gained nothing from undermining that. Even he was not so deranged as to slaughter without cause. These... spiders, though. Wintry eyes return to the mouth of the cave as the mist stirs around them. Sol is curious. He wants to see these arachnids, and this clan. He wants to learn.

Knowledge, after all, was power.

After the Zabrak had received confirmation from the Kel Dor that he understood what Draugr had ordered, he would walk forward. The Sith Master ready to face his brothers and take his place as the head of Spider Clan. The cave gave off an eerie vibe, and was covered in unknown moisture and fluid on the ground. The sides with more webbing the further you venture. The air crisp and dense. One would say the air had a pressure to it even.

As they would come to the entry to the village there was a set guard outside the walls built, and they would be slightly surprised to see Draugr had returned to Dathomir but also with company. They were an outsider but if they were here with their fellow Nightbrother then things should be fine.

"Brother Xeno.. it is good to see you have returned. How may we help you?"

Draugr would then answer in reply,

"Yes, I wish to speak with Ochi. We have business to discuss."

Both guards looked to each other and after a moment they complied, opening the doors to the village for the two Sith to enter. Draugr leading Sol. Now the mission began.

Draugr moves forward, and Sol follows. One might describe it akin to a puppy following behind it's owner, but really, the Kel Dor doesn't make much of a cute pet in that scenario. Regardless, he wasn't going to push boundaries with the Sith Master. Sol yearned for power, but it was not yet something he had, certainly not on the same level as the Zabrak's. So for now, he would follow at least a step behind. The Nightbrothers would know easily enough who had the authority of the two.

The cave itself was ominous, and a familiar paranoia creeps up the Kel Dor's spine, the kind where one might feel that they were being watched from the shadows. Regardless, he walks on, marvels at the webbing that lines the damp walls, peers inquisitively at the moisture that formed upon the rough ground. This was all so new, and so very interesting.

Finally, there was life, civilization in the shadows. Two guards peer at the approaching Sith with a wariness, until it seems that they recognize Draugr. Xeno, one says, and Sol promptly stores that knowledge away. The Kel Dor stays quiet, as he so often was, his cold vision hidden behind the dark goggles that shrouded his eyes. When the doors swung open to grant the pair entry, Sol could almost feel a giddy sensation of glee as he followed after the Zabrak. How many outsiders had laid eyes upon this so called Spider Clan?

It's a sobering thought, more-so because it prompts suspicion as to why Draugr had brought him along at all.

Walking through, the village seemed to be doing well. The people content with their lives within the cave system. Something about was rather appealing to the Sith Master. It had culture to it, and a wonderful wave of the darkside. The aura rich and fruitful, and the smell of the the moisture soothing. Now the Sith Master knew he had to become the Clan's leader, and build off of this cave system. To make it the new headquarters for the Zabrak. Until he found a planet worthy enough to hold a base for him to reside in.

After walking around for a while, the pair of Sith would arrive at the village's main hall. It wasn't as grand or glorious as some of the capitals the Sith may have seen, but it had a vibrant elegance to it. Edged perfectly, and built with a gothic inspired style. On the outside it had a phrase reading 'To tame the spider, you must be one with the spider.' Knowing what the phrase meant, but also somewhat confused, Draugr moved on.

"Brother Xeno, welcome. Please Ochi awaits your arrival."

"Thank you Brothers.."

Now not all of the Nightbrothers were aware of his business, but the ones who did were in the right places at the right times. He would be a fool to challenge for leadership blindly. The Zabrak had loyal Brothers in place to keep the operation running smoothly. Arriving inside the village hall, the Sith would see a small throne of sorts. at the end with Ochi sitting within it speaking to a couple other Nightbrothers. Behind him a rather large Bane Back Spider stood eyeing the two visitors. The spider itself must have stood somewhere around seven feet tall. Then to the left and right were a line of loyal Spiders all at most five feet tall, and four feet tall.

Most would be horrified at the sight of this. I mean, they were people sized spiders after all, but not Draugr. Nor did Sol. Which was why Draugr was okay with coming along. A Sith who would pee themselves at the sight of this would lose all respect from the Dathomiri Master. Ochi was a yellow skinned Zabrak with a vast majority of spiked tattoos across his face and body. Most notably a webbing tattoo on his throat. Dedication to his Clan. His horns grew in a row with two on the sides, and with a set of piercings in the ears.

"Brother Ochi.. a pleasure to meet you this day. I am Brother Xeno, but I am widely known as Draugr. I have come to speak with you over a simple matter."

"Brother Xeno, what matter is it you speak of?"

Despite the darkness and the humid air of the caverns, the village was filled with life. Sol was intrigued by what he saw, and his eyes roamed with a hunger for knowledge. Finally, they reached a grand structure, the main hall, undoubtedly. If there was anywhere the leader of this clan would be housed, it made sense that it would be here. A seat of power in the darkness, intertwined with the intricate webbing of the spiders that shared this home. To tame the spider, you must be one with the spider. A curious phrase. The Kel Dor wonders at it's meaning.

Still at the heels of Draugr, and as silent as the shadow that clung to the cave walls, Sol enters the main hall to catch sight of a throne. Behind it, a looming arachnid rests with vigilant eyes. It is a tall thing, monstrous and eerie, an aspect of terror for all to behold. Sol is mesmerized by it, thrilled that such a creature could be tamed at all. He notes the rest of the spiders that fill the hall with eyes that glowed with curiosity. The Kel Dor wonders if they could be touched, for he had half a mind to try it, but no, even enthralled as he is, Sol is no fool. He is an outsider, and the beasts were companions to a clan he did not understand.

Glorious as they may be, Sol would keep his claws to himself, for now.

Ochi himself sat at ease among the arachnids. Perhaps one day soon, it would be Draugr upon that throne. The Kel Dor thinks the red skinned Zabrak would look quite nice perched within the hall among webs and fangs. Naturally, Sol's mind twists into another scene, a throne of his own with servants of a different kind, albeit, not within the humid dark of a cave. The Champion had an eye for the ornate, a greed for expensive tastes. That was a vision for another time, though. For now, he simply plays the dutiful companion to the one who would soon be master of the Spider Clan.

He remains a step behind Master Draugr, as his eyes continue to marvel at the arachnids surrounding Ochi's throne.

Whilst walking forward DRaugr would look at the man who sat on his throne of sorts. The giant spider behind him looking ready to pounce and begin devouring the Sith Master. The spiders to the sides watching on, waiting for any sort of order to attack. They were tamed, and bent to the will of the Clan leader to Spider Clan. The Head Spider if you will.

"Yes.. the matter of me challenging you for your title."

Ochi had a sudden face of shock wash over him. His eyes filled with confusion, fear, anger. The sudden notice of a man far more powerful challenging him for his position was frightening. He had looked to his spiders, they were at the ready. He could easily have sent them to pounce on Draugr, but instead, he had stood up. His guards looked on they're expressions slightly worried. Ochi on the other hand, had taken a couple deep breaths and then calmed himself.

"Xeno, you come to my home and challenge me for all I own? Have you gone mad?"

Draugr looked to him and sighed. Now he was going to hear an annoying speech of some sort. About how facing a Sith Master was unfair or that he wasn't ready. Before the Clan Leader could get ant excuses out Draugr would simply announce,

"If you deny my challenge you will forfeit all there is as you will prove weak."

The guards looked to Ochi and then back to remaining guard. It was truth, if he had denied the challenge out of fear he would not be worthy of the title any longer. Draugr would then take it by force, here and now Ochi had a chance to defend it. A chance to show, even if he lost, that he was a warrior worth leading.

"I suppose you leave me no choice. I accept.. under one condition."

"Name it.."

"No force, no sabers. Just me against you."

Draugr smirked. Was that it? Was that all he wanted? With a bit of a scoff, Draugr unclipped his utility belt with his sabers attached and handed it over to Sol. It was time to handle business. Perhaps Sol could learn a thing or two about bare knuckle fighting.

Ah, it seemed they would finally get to the meat of their visit. Draugr makes his challenge clear, bold and loud, and the guards shift with uncertainty. The golden skinned Zabrak is suddenly assaulted by cruel emotion, shock, fear, and rage, all manifesting within the glow of his eyes amidst the shadow. Sol's focus is finally drawn from the spiders, his cold eyes raking across the clan chief as he responds to the challenge.

To Sol, this all seemed so strange, and yet so very familiar. The clans of Dathomir, and their customs, were shrouded in mystery. Challenging each other for title and power, though? It was akin to the Sith way of doing things. The Kel'dor could respect that, at least.

The terms seemed set in stone. No force, and no lightsabers. It seemed fair enough, though Sol would likely not be as inclined as Draugr to agree to such a deal. Unlike the crimson Zabrak, he was not all that well versed in hand to hand, nor did he have the constitution to risk a point blank blow to the head. The mask he requires to live outside of Dorin's atmosphere only served to complicate matters further. Still, he would watch, and perhaps the Sith Master would demonstrate something worthy of learning.

He wraps his claws around the utility belt, the sabers of Draugr still clipped tightly in place. Ultimately, Sol would stay out of their way, and keep his senses alert. If the clan was truly so bound by tradition that they would not dare to disrupt the duel, then all the better. But should anyone decide to cheat, Sol would be watching.

He had promised not to harm them, but that didn't mean he'd let any underhanded dealings go unnoticed by the dueling pair.

As the Zabraks began to circle one another, the hissing of the spiders filled the room. The guards sweating as they know Draugr was the stronger fighter. The targets he needed to focus were the leg joints. If he could take his base, the rest came easily. The yellow skinned warrior had been the first to make a move. He ran in with with punch toward Draugr's face. He angrily bursted forward "Ahhh" if only this were one of those holo movies.

The Sith Master stepped to the side and lifted his knee to the midsection of the Clan Leader, looking to knock their air from his lungs. As it connected the room could hear Ochi
"Ungh!" And then fall to the floor for only a moment. As he caught his breath he arose to his feet and got ready to fight again. Draugr had extended his arm toward the yellow Zabrak and would curl his fingers back and forth telling him to come at him. The taunting had only angered Ochi as he closed in and throw multiple strikes, all of which Draugr was blocking easily. With quick succession the Sith Master made a forward kick at the knee of the Clan Leader, almost like a stomp. Ochi had fell to a single knee, as he did Draugr sent a follow up knee to the jaw of Ochi.

"Come on Ochi.. show me why you lead. Show me you didn't inherit this seat without cause." Draugr said, almost mocking the Spider Clan leader. He hadn't shown any true skill yet. That was until a rogue kick found its mark.. low. The Sith Master felt the air within him leave quickly. Had he played dirtier than a Sith? Draugr was almost proud, if only it wasn't done to him.

"How's that?" Ochi said as he stood up ready to fight some more, blood cover his teeth and a small dribble came over his lip.

The spiders hissed, a noise that would crawl beneath the skin of those who lived in fear of the beasts, but Sol finds himself fascinated. Inevitably, his gaze is returned to the battle, even as guards shift uneasily in the background. Like them, Sol is confident on who will win the fight, so long as nothing devious takes place among the clan. The Kel'dor did not know how long Ochi had reigned above the others, but he has little doubt that the clan is attached to their leader. Would tradition outweigh emotional attachment? In the Sith, that question was easily answered. Perhaps the clan would be no different, but Sol was nonetheless vigilant.

Ochi finally gets a decent hit in, though the blow was low and cheap. Regardless, honor didn't win battles, and Sol had no qualms about throwing sand into an enemy's face. It seemed Ochi was no different, and the Kel'dor suspected that neither was Draugr. It wouldn't matter in the end, though. By agreeing to the duel, Ochi had already lost. The situation was a lose lose for the unfortunate leader, either way.

Draugr whilst recovering from the low blow, was infuriated. The anger within him making his blood boil. His becoming a glowing yellow and his face showing pure signs of anger, hatred even. The Sith Master stood tall using the pain to fuel his strength. Ochi would then go to make a strike at the red skinned warrior, but his punch would be caught in the hand of Draugr. When Ochi saw this he struck with his other hand, but again it was caught. "I'm done taking it easy..." Draugr let out in a growl.

Then with a quickness and great strength he head butt the yellow Zabrak, sending his frontal horn into the eye socket of the Clan Leader. Ochi screamed in pain as Draugr ripped his horn from the eye socket, breaking the orbital bone as he pulled back. Blood covered Draugr's face but it wasn't his own.. the blood dripped, warm but slowly growing colder. Ochi fell to the ground weak and mostly blinded. The sight of Draugr above him covered in his own blood was frightening to him. Ochi in complete shock had made no action against the Sith Master... but the same could not be said for Draugr.

"Your Clan..." Draugr kicked Ochi backwards onto his back, "..is mine." With that Draugr then mounted over the fallen warrior and would continue to bash the face in of ochi with his bare fists. Each hit making a fleshy sound. Some adding a cracking sound here and there. After beating in the face of Ochi and killing him.. Draugr had been completely covered in blood spatters. Heavy breathing of the rage induced Sith Master was the only sound left. After a silent moment, he stood. Eyes now on the seat Ochi had once sat.

Walking forward he would look at the guards in front of it. Fear in their eyes, they stood for a moment and then stepped to the sides opening the way to the seat. Draugr with a rageful expression, turned and sat on the seat. He slowly leaned back into the seat and then looked at the spiders. They had to be hungry. They had to want to eat. He felt them through the force. Their minds, their thoughts, their needs. Draugr wasn't going to deny his new babies. With the force he gripped the throats of the loyal guards to Ochi and threw them to the ground by Ochi's body. And making sure Sol was away from the group he would then say one word..
"Feed.."

There's a heat that rips through the air, oppressive and heavy, a sensation of rage entwined with the cold bite of hatred. Sol tilts his head, peers at Draugr as his eyes glow like volcanic fire. Even the rat in the Kel'dor's robes seems distressed by the sudden intensity of the air. It squirms through the Champion's sleeve. Sol himself, though, is entirely unfazed. His vision is wintry as he continues to observe the fight, hears the squelch of the master's horn shredding through flesh to burrow into the eye-socket. Hears the snap of bone breaking beneath the pressure. Ochi falls, bled and ruined, and Sol knows well enough that the fight is over. Draugr insures that there are no second chances, that there are no liabilities left behind.

The Zabrak is the picture of brutality as he beats the former clan leader to death with bare fists, until Ochi's face was no longer recognizable as anything other than a heap of ruined flesh.

Admittedly, Sol finds himself attracted to the power of the scene, finds his eyes linger upon Draugr for a few moments longer, before he finally regains focus. As the master gripped ruthlessly at the throats of the guards, Sol can only observe with macabre fascination as the spiders descend upon them. A picturesque sight for the Kel'dor. Finally, his wintry vision returns to Draugr, now sat upon the throne like a blood stained king. Though Sol stays well enough away from the spiders, not wishing to be caught in the feeding frenzy, he does make his way back to Draugr's side, offering the belt with the lightsabers of the Zabrak still safely clipped in place. Then, with a brief sensation of amusement, he offers the Sith master a bow.

"Congratulations, leader of the Spider Clan." Sol's vocals are as close to a purr as was possible for his kind. With Ochi's loyalists gone, the entire group would undoubtedly fall in line behind their new lord. "You look impressive." And he did, sat upon the throne, in command of a legion of nightmarish arachnids. The Kel'dor might have been jealous, but he feels no desire to lead clans of Dathomir. Unlike Draugr, Sol has no connection with the world or it's people. So instead of jealousy, Sol feels something with a bit more heat. He won't deny that he's attracted to the sight of the crimson Zabrak sprawled across a throne, but ultimately, he'll keep it to himself. No sense in making the celebration of power needlessly awkward, particularly when his last attempts had flirting had gone so poorly.

Watching on as the spiders fed on the bodies of Ochi and his loyalists, Draugr sat covered in blood. It was a sight to see. The sounds of the hissing, and the munching on the bodies. The flesh ripping from the bones, and the juices of their blood spewing out and the bones cracking. For an ordinary man it would be enough to sicken them and bring an uncomfortable feeling to them. For Draugr.. it was like music. The blood warming. The sight pleasing, like seeing his favorite movie for the first time again.

"Thank you Champion Sol.. You may have by technicality just stood by, but I appreciate you being here in case things did not work out for some fluke reason." Draugr then wiped some of the blood from his face, leaving slight smears left. "I wanna reward you for being here." The Sith master whistled real quick, and a single spider had come up and stood before the two. It's eight eyes set on Sol, and it's mandibles closed as Sol wasn't a threat. "Here, take a companion with you. You'll need to bond with her and ask her what her name is but you should be able to figure that out here and now."

The Zabrak looked to the spider and then over to Sol,
"She's ready when you are." The Bane Back stood still, and blinked a few times. Beauty within it's hideous exterior was enough to show loyalty and a good friend if treated properly. The blood of the Zabraks fed to them was dripping from it's mandibles and trailed to where the Bane Back stood.

Sol inclines his head, at least appreciating the gratitude from the Master, even if the Kel'dor had done little more than stand aside and look pretty. The sounds of the spiders devouring their meals nearby was certainly blood chilling, but like Draugr, Sol could almost appreciate it as something more akin to music. It was the sound of power, of triumph.

His gaze snaps back toward the Zabrak as he mentions a reward, and the Champion can't help his curiosity. A moment later, and a whistle rings out, drawing one of the monstrous Bane-Backs toward the throne. A gift, in the form of a companion. At least should Sol be able to tame it. He peers at the creature curiously, enamored by her eight-legged appearance. For some, it was the picture of a nightmare. The Kel'dor sees no such thing.

Reaching out with the force, Sol seems to be attempting to form a connection. It's not a forceful one, but an invitation. The spider was not a slave, but a friend. Then, his clawed hands reach into his robes to finally pull that squirming rat out into the open. Extending the arm, Sol would offer the rodent. The spider had just feasted upon the Zabraks, but as with most things, food was a quick path to the heart.

"You and I would make an accomplished team, I think." The Kel'dor's words are directed at the spider. "And I have plenty of things for you to feast upon. Not merely rats." Sol was cruel to his enemies, and the spider would have no small amount of victims to feast upon. "May I know your name? Mine is Sol Kenuk." A fair trade, a name for a name, as the force stretches beyond the Kel'dor, and toward the arachnid.

Sol knew the Bane-Backs were not sentient creatures, but then, neither were dogs, and they were nearly just as perfect in terms of companions. Sol giving more respect to the beasts he kept in his presence, rather than his fellow Sith, was likely unsurprising to most at that point.

As Sol Kenuk had been speaking with the spider, it had hissed in a different way than it usually had one, but through the mind connection Draugr had with it, he sensed what it had said. "Her name is Sathrah. She is pleased to serve you how she can." The Zabrak would give a nod to Sol as he was allowing him to go on out with his newfound companion. The Zabrak himself would stay, watching as the Kel'dor and Sathrah had made their way out of the throne room and onto live their lives.

Behind Draugr was the largest spider. He could feel it's mind in the force, the Queen of these large beasts here. The Zabrak would stand and turn to face her,
"I look forward to seeing how well our clan does for the Empire. I hope you are ready to face the enemies of the Empire my dear. Now, tell me.. what is your name." As he waited, the giant spider would hiss but this hiss was different than the high pitched whispered ones from the others. This hiss had a growl to it, and had some base but also higher pitched.

Through the force connection, he could feel it tingling in his ears.. the name Deth'tilac had rung. A smile crept on the face of the Sith Master. This was only the beginning. Soon Draugr's army will grow once more to another form of beast. For now he and Deth'tilac will make their small army grow in numbers.
"I think we'll get along just fine my dear. Let us speak further of our Clan's growth..."
