DESCRIPTION
The E-60R rocket launcher by Baktoid Armor Workshop is an infantry-portable anti-armor weapon which was used in large numbers by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Developed in response to the poor showing made by CIS tanks against Republic armor early in the war, the E-60R was meant to give regular battle droids a weapon to deal with enemy tanks, the intention being to use the same swarm tactics which had proved so successful with such droids thus far. Thus, the E-60R was cheap to build and simple to use, and was produced in staggering quantities, seeing service in nearly every theater of the war.

The E-60R is simple, not much more than a launch tube and a triggering mechanism. Although the weapon does have a targeting optic, it is of poor quality, and thus the weapon is generally targeted by unaided line of sight. The projectile is equally simple, incorporating a low-accuracy repulsor-seeking guidance sensor which can be turned on or off before firing. The E-60R's back-blast when firing is dangerous out to 5 meters behind the weapon. Effective range is 300 meters. The launch tube can be reloaded from the rear after firing.

The E-60R, despite the fate of most other CIS war materiel, has gone on to have a long and varied career after the Clone Wars. Large numbers wound up on the black market after the war, or indeed were still in the hands of rebels against the new Empire and CIS die-hards. They continue to see service in many parts of the Galaxy.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Rocket launchers are extremely powerful weapons, and are thus banned on most civilized worlds. Even on uncivilized ones, carrying one around in public is sure to draw unwanted attention.

INTENT
To bring a weapon from canon into our site's fanon.

RESTRICTIONS
In a PvP engagement, rocket launchers such as the E-60E may only be used against vehicles and fortifications. Care should be taken for any player characters driving, riding in or fighting from the target to be given the opportunity to bail or deploy countermeasures before impact.
