Oseth entered the dueling ring. It was an old dueling ring. There were no spectators here, only the acolyte and... another dark entity. Oseth gripped the hilt of his saber, ready to ignite it if he needed to.

OoC: NPCing

Tyrael stepped out from the shadows, the darkness almost clinging to him, hesitantly releasing him from its bosom. He was seemingly unconcerned by this, each step calculating and precise. The dust from the ring rose around him, responding to the almost magnetic draw of the Force that pulsated from him. The Zabrak's skin was a deep, ashen color, black markings on his face and body betraying his race.

He had two saber hilts at his hips, but made no motion to grasp either of them. Like a hawk, he walked around Oseth, as if gauging him and judging his posture and reaching out with the Force to probe into his mind. The moment passed as soon as it had begun, and Tyrael stood before him. His animalistic yellow eyes gazed into the ones of his student. He made no movement, no subtle gesture. When he spoke, his voice was seemingly a mere extension of the wind, as if uttered by the Force.

"Attack me."

Oseth looked up when Tyrael stepped into the ring. Oseth was not the powerful Sith Lord he would become later in his life, yet. He was a boy; a student. He had not even fallen as deep as he would in the future. He was seventeen, no older. He was an acolyte and Tyrael was his master.

He activated his lightsaber, the blood-red blade ignited with a sharp hiss. The energy blade cast an eerie, crimson glow on his face, accentuating his wolf-like features. Yes, he was still young, but already he looked much like the wolf he would become later.

He wasn't nervous though. He was determined to learn how to fight. How to kill.

Tyrael had instructed him to strike, and so he did. He dashed forwards in a burst of speed and went for a simple, horizontal slash across Tyrael's chest, from left to right. Nothing too complex.

Tyrael made no motions immediately, quietly watching his movements. He started off with a simple opening attack, something that he had taught the acolyte himself. It was smarter to engage the enemy than to be mixed up in a complex maneuver right off the bat. With a gentle tug of the Force, a saber hilt came to his grip.

As the saber swung in from the right, Tyrael ignited his saber and caught the incoming saber diagonally, with Oseth's on the outer right side of Tyrael's. He shifted his saber while they were still bladelocked to tilt his saber to his own right. His saber was layered above Oseth's and he pushed downwards, using his strength to lower the saber. Meanwhile, Tyrael's left hand came up to focus a conglomeration of energy to his palm, releasing it at Oseth's exposed face and torso. As a result, he'd experience a powerful telekinetic blast directly to his upper body and face at close range.

Oseth felt a ripple in the Force and he knew what that meant. In that instant, he let go of his saber's hilt with his right hand - but still holding the hilt with his left hand - and raised his open right hand. He used the Force to prevent the telekinetic blow from blasting him away.

Immediately after that, he lowered his own saber with his left hand and slashed to Tyrael's right knee (Tyrael's right). Maybe left wasn't Oseth's dominate hand, but it wouldn't hurt to train both his right and his left hand.

"You think your opponent is going to stand still while you think about what to do?!"

His voice was commanding, booming within Oseth's mind. Tyrael moved as he spoke, his concentration never wavering. True to his words, he hadn't stopped to marvel at the effects of his telekinetic blast. The energy had left him, and he let it jut out from his palm, not focusing on maintaining a constant stream of energy which would have required him to stay in the position he was in.

The Zabrak pivoted as Oseth worked to fend off the blast. Tyrael spun to his right, Oseth's left. As he did so, his saber moved with him in a slanted counter clockwise motion. As Tyrael rounded to face Oseth's left, this immediately put him out of range of his student's slice downwards towards his knee. Granted his new position, Tyrael swung his saber to his right, aiming to slice through Oseth's left elbow and possibly his torso.

Tyrael was mean.

The Zabrak stood to Oseth's left. He was about to slice the young Human into two. Oseth, however, didn't stand still, either. He pivoted as well, moving to the right and out of Tyrael's saber's range.

He turned and faced Tyrael's right now and, holding his lightsaber in his right hand again, he slashed horizontally. A slash from left to right to Tyrael's back. An attempt to slice the Zabrak into two...
