She was alone- once again. The training for today had ceased and she was sitting in her dimly lit quarters. The bubbling from the tank in the wall with all of the exotic little fishies in their perfect little world. The blue led lights that shined through the glass of the tank illuminated the hallway in front of the door, or at least the five feet that was a hallway in these cramped little quarters.
Aldous sat next to her on the bed, a cat that never sheds- that's the best thing ever. She was in her underwear and a long cottony shirt that extended past her butt for pajamas. She was small for a human, but perfect for a sylarian, even if her dark brown hair didn't show it. She was reading up on human psychology, it was simple and easy to understand. Nothing like ithorian psychology...

"Oh, Aldous... I think I'm going to have my nails painted.", she said as she got up and sat in her chair in front of her desk. There was a droid that painted her nails for her, all she had to do was stick her fingers in it. A neat little invention she learned about in her early twenties.

"You hungry, bud? Okay- let's go sneak down to the mess hall and grab a bite. Nobody'll care at this hour.", she retracted her fingers from the machine, perfectly dry red fingernails. Perfectly done with a clear coat over them.
She slipped on her grey sweats from the closet and grabbed her i.d.
Snapping her fingers, she led the lazy tuskcat down the hall towards the hall.

"So... What do you feel like?"... She tried to make some small talk with the cat on the way there, despite the fact that she knew it wouldn't talk back to her. She thought to herself for a moment, wondering if any of the others thought she was weird for only talking to her cat.

((i know i used the same model as i did for mitya, but come on... Nobody's as good looking as her. And I swear she looks like her in that pic. xD ))

[[I am]]

Knight was alone in the mess hall she had come when the others were asleep and would leave just as quickly. She had chosen to stay in her armor and had kept the strips of red and blue in her hair while she ate. She was happy to be alone and welcomed the silence. Her Sentinels were the only other people here and that was good enough they made great conversations and always agreed with her. Her head erked up some at the sense someone was coming but for some reason she wasn't worried if the ran and told the others that was was there who cared. She planned to go out and do what she had to do for Myrh and had a few choices.

The mess hall was completely empty, save for two people. A single trooper sitting at a long cafeteria table near the center of the room, and an Imperial Knight. Xael sat flipping through what seemed like a pile of papers. He was wearing casual BDUs, black cargo pants and a grey t-shirt, the most comfortable thing he typically got into. There were multiple folders, and loose leaves of paper lying about the table. They were the dossiers of each of the officers within the Imperial Guard. The Field Marshall was making it a point to go through each, and familiarize himself with his soldiers. Things would get heavier soon, and he would need to be prepared for it. Most of the Imperial Guard was currently on active stand down while they stayed in hiding, but the day was fast approaching for that to end. As he sat, he heard a voice down the hall, and raised his head at the sound. As the woman entered the mess hall, Xael laughed quietly to himself, his smile obvious, as soon as he saw the small cat following her.

“Out for a snack?”, said Xael.

He had papers in both of his hands, his elbows on the table, but he paused looking over the dossiers to speak with the entrant.

Her hips moved back and forth as she strutted down the hallway in her socks. She was tired and it was getting late, but she wanted a little bit to eat, besides- she wasn't sleepy. It was so quiet, and she loved how the hallway curved around. The florescent lighting hurt her eyes, and the repetitive pattern of door after door got a little disorienting up until every other intersection.
She took a right down the straight path towards mess hall. There usually wasn't anyone in there, except maybe a person or two.

"Hmm... Aldous. I think I want some pudding, to be honest. I know they have to have some of that tapioca left. I'll get some fish just for you though, I know we have to have fish, our guy went straight to Naboo for the purchase of this months' rations. They've got nice calm fish on naboo's oceans, heh but I know the Gun-Guns are from deep lakes on naboo too... Let's hope we're not eating gun-gun...", she joked around with the lion sized pet she had walking with her. She knew he couldn't talk back, but the simple fact that talking with animals was in her blood said otherwise. It was weird...
But her sort of self-conversation was cut short by her field marshal's question when she came into the mess hall. She was terribly awkward in normal conversation. It was like a switch that turned off in her head, she just didn't know how to handle talking to people without thinking she was a total nutcase... Or the other person thinking she's a nutcase.
"Erh- Sir, yes sir.", she saluted her superior in rank. She may only be one rank below him, but still- it was part of the job, plus it made it easier to talk when she already had to do things a certain way.

Upon entering, Vera also noticed the Knight and her sentinels with her too. She must be trying to get some alone time too... Guess I'm not the only one this cramped little ship's getting to. Oh well, guess I'll just have to avoid her if she's one of those scary types.
Why do some people have to be like that? So quick to turn someone down.

Vera went straight for the fish and a large bowl of pudding before grabbing a seat on the far end of the table from the knight and field marshal. Aldous sat up next to her on the floor.
"Here you go, bud.", she said as she threw a piece of fish up and into the air. Aldous caught it and his tail wagged in excitement, almost like a dog. She giggled at the silly feline and her ability to be easily stirred.

((I made up a random serial number, hope thats ok. If you don't like that one, I can change it to one you actually want. It doesn't really mean anything :P))

Xael noted the nervousness and general uncomfort with which Vera spoke, or rather responded, to him. He wasn’t sure why everyone always thought he was unapproachable in an off duty environment, he tried to keep himself friendly enough. He recognized the woman immediately : Vera Demakis, Brigadier of the Imperial Guard, Serial Number 492038407, Sylarian. According to what Xael remembered about her dossier, she was one of the first to accompany the Imperial Knights when the Sith took over, just like Xael. He found a warm connection in that.

“You know, I am a normal person when I’m not telling people what to do on the battlefield. I like to talk too every once and a while.”, Xael said smiling.

He had placed the papers in front of him down, and was now looking at Vera. His face was kind and inviting, well, as much as he could make it appear that way honestly. In this current situation, among a fellow stormtrooper, it was nothing but honesty.

Vera noticed the field marshal's welcomeness. She understood that she probably came off that way- making him feel like he was the problem. She was just awkward was all, and after so long really stopped attempting at casual conversation. She'd talk to him though, it wasn't like it would kill her or anything. He was only her commanding officer and if she accidentally insulted him somehow she'd pay crap for it until she was promoted which might not happen now because she'd be being pushed too hard an-...

She stopped herself... That was a really bad trait, she guessed. Rambling in her mind about all of these things that probably wouldn't even happen. Dammit, she was okay, er- she hoped. So she took her attention off of the tuskcat and turned face.
"Oh. Heh, erm- no. It's n-not that. I don't know. Uhm- yea. I'm just. heh...

Erm-...
Heh. Sorry."
, she blushed. Krath why the hell couldn't she talk right. It must be some kind of disorder. Oh, yea, that's right, sh'es already gotten checked. The only condition she had was being awkward.
"Sorry. I'm just not good at talking to people. Small talk's not my thing, although I'm glad you actually noticed me. And yes, just- erm. A snack, I guess.", she covered her red nails. She didn't like people to see her painted nails, she was scared that people wouldn't think she was pretty.
She took another bite of her tapioca.
"I'm uhm- well... You already know me, I guess. Erm- yea, I'm sorry, I don't mean to make you think I thought of you badly or something. I don't.", she said.
It took her a minute, but her mind was a bit clearer and she was able to actually talk now. That was always how it went...
"So what are you doing out in the mess? The claustrophobia setting into you too?"

Knight lifted her head up and looked at the two as she kept eating. She really wanted peace and quiet but knew that might be impossible now. As she spoke her voice came out soft but she kept an edge to it not of anger but annoyance. "You know if you continue to make noise like that the other will wake up and want to join us. Wouldn't you lose respect if they saw you standing around in your underwear?" Knight looked away as she went back to eating.

Xael turned his head as the Knight in the room spoke. He was a little confused by the statement. Glancing over at Vera with a raised eyebrow, he responded.

“Huh? Who’s in their underwear?”, said Xael.

Turning back to Vera, he continued their conversation.

“Ya, something like that. I get sick of sitting in my office, so I come here. Its usually quiet enough, and it’s a good change of pace.”, said Xael. He continued as he extended his hand out to the seat in front of him. “Care to sit down and talk for a bit?”, he asked.

After he spoke he began to shuffle the papers back into the respective folders, and he placed them on the long bench that he sat on, to his right.

Knight looked didn't looked back up just spoke as she paused for a brief moment... She had sweats.. Did it matter they were still talking and she didn't want more people to come. She stopped chewing and spoke softly. "Does it matter your still being loud I'd prefer not having to stomach the others." Knight finished and went back to her food then stopped as she didn't speak just handed the plate to a sentinel who walked across the mess hall and got her some more then came back. Knight went back to eating.

He was inviting her to sit and talk... Great, more chance to look totally weird and awkward.
The sylarian got up and snapped her fingers for Aldous to follow. She turned around and went to the table behind her before taking the seat in front of her field marshal.
Err-... Hmm. Office, yea, I don't know I don't like mine very much. It's just... boring. I keep my room a little more comfortable though. Uv lamps and comfy aquarium.", she thought for a second. She wondered back to her thoughts in the hall. She wondered what the others thought of her.

"Err- I know that I'm okay giving commands on the battle-field and in the training simulator and during other formal engagements, but I'm really terrible at uhm... Talking casually, you know? I mean- err. I don't know. I mean. What exact- Wait, I mean. The others. Everyone else, you know? Do you know what they think of me?", she expected the worse after her bumbling that time, but it was okay, it couldn't be worse than the majority of the imperial guard back in the empire.

"Err- uhm. Sorry, I didn't know. I didn't mean to bother you or anyth-... Err- uhm. Yea. I didn't mean to... Disturb you.", Vera blushed from being flustered. She didn't mean to upset or disturb the knight eating at the table. Her sentinels seemed to be loathing of their job though, so she didn't know whether or not if it was okay or not.

"Erm- do you want to.. Uh... Join us?", she sniffled and nodded her head at the knight. It was a start, at least.

Knight looked up at the woman and raised an eyebrow at the thought. Was she really being kind after Knight brushed her off? She must have been one of the few who thought being nice was. Knight spoke looking at the lumbering Sentinel. "Kree." it was one word but the nine foot being with a mask covering everything but its red glowing eyes turned to stare at Vera as Knight closed her eyes and listened to it speak to her. She had imprinted on him same as the others and like her family before her they were the utmost loyal servants and bodyguards. The Sentinel was other things as it whispered to her and she stood up from the table and walked over with them behind her. Knight looked at Vera and spoke sitting down a little bit closer but enough away her Sentinel could still stand between them with his hammer. "I am Knight and thank you."
