Bri grinned at Fiach's preparations, and pressed the lowest button on the control panel, opening the air lock between the two ships with a loud hiss. Vapor clouds erupted on either side as the door slid open, complaining with a few creaks and groans as it did so. The Jedi slowly stepped forward, walking slowly. The ship had a stale smell of old electronics, which combined with the inconsistent lighting, created an uneasy atmosphere. "Good thing this isn't creepy," she joked dryly, trying to get a bearing of the ships floorplan.
Just after entering the next corridor, the commlink crackled to life with Byron's voice. Bri paused, listening to his message, before turning around to offer a knowing glance at Fiach, after the mention of a battle droid. "Understood," she replied back, "looks like we entered on the lower deck, so we'll make our way up to the bridge." It appeared that serendipitous timing had resulted in some other group attempting to take the ship at the same time as the Jedi. It was most likely a coincidence. Probably.
The Jedi honed her senses to try and reach out as far in front of her as possible. In the tight confines of the ship's corridors the Jedi would need every advantage in overcoming a sneak attack. So far, she hadn't felt anything. Letting a small train of thought run through her mind without completely distracting her, Bri pondered on the motives for why they had been attacked. Maybe it was over this lousy ship. Or maybe there's something else here. The Jedi paused as they reached the end of another corridor, finding a ramped hallway leading up to the bridge.
