Myr Khandros kneeled on the corner of a tall apartment building on Nar Shaddaa. He peered across the chasm that led down to the buzzing traffic of the airlanes and the crowded streets far below. Across the way was his target, the apartment of a wealthy black market dealer of antiquities and art. He had tracked down a possible lead that this man was in the possession of an old Jedi lightsaber. Myr didn't particularly care about the lightsaber itself, he already had one of his own. He was however interested in the kyber crystal that the lightsaber likely possessed.

Dressed for subterfuge, Myr had taken the guise of an errant darksider. a simple black bodysuit and a helmet mask that concealed his identity. He had little in the way of weaponry, only his lightsaber hidden at the small of his back, a vibrospear in his hands, and his power in the darkside, but that was all he really needed. A vibroblade sheathed on his hip served as backup, or as a primary weapon depending on whether or not the situation allowed for a lightsaber.

Scanning the antiquities dealer's apartment for entrances, Myr spotted a few windows, a fire escape, and a balcony with doors leading inside. The apartment was dark, unoccupied. Myr had waited for an opportune moment to pull off his little burglary, not wishing to just bust in and take the object of his desire by force. There was no need for such theatrics, and he had no real reason to hurt the man just because he had something that Myr wanted.

Another night, another job. Actually, it wasn't all too often that someone asked her to physically steal. Usually her job was to cyber steal. Either way, Alais was dressed to conceal herself as much as possible. Draped over her was a simple cloak, with the hood pulled up to hide her face in the shadows. Of course, her smaller size and feminine figure couldn't be hidden that well under it, but it was good enough.

This time she wasn't going to do much more hiding beyond the cloak anyway. She walked up to the front of the building and quickly pulled out a card and slipped it over the security panel. A soft beeping noise went off before she promptly put the card away. The thing was, the panel wasn't suppose to accept cards. There were buttons, not physical buttons but ones the screen. The screen was suppose to accept a password then scan the persons hand, but Alais had developed a way around it. This was not her first run in with this system.

Now she assumed this man had sketchy guests over so she planned to slip in the door quickly and hope that no one stopped her. Unfortunately that wasn't the case when a man stepped in front of her, clearly wanting to talk. "You're busy and don't have time to talk to me," she said without skipping a beat. The man echoed the statement, "I'm busy and don't have time to talk to you." With that he promptly walked away. Alais didn't know why people listened to her like that sometimes, but it was always worth a try on jobs.

Myr stood, preparing to begin his entrance when he felt it. The tiniest ripple in the force. Cocking his head, he probed outwards with his mind, but felt nothing. "Curious."

Backing up to the other end of the rooftop, Myr opened himself to the force, letting the darkside pour into him. His lips curled in concentration as he focused on the dark power that flooded into him, preparing himself for what he was about to do.

Springing forwards, the devarlonian was a dark blur as he empowered his speed with the force. Coming to the ledge, he channeled the force to his legs, using it to launch himself off the building and into the air.

Doing a front flip at the zenith of his leap, Myr began his descent, wind whipping at his clothes. Using the force to slow his descent, Myr landed gracefully on the balcony that led to the apartment. His heartbeat pounded in his head as he breathed heavily. Taking a moment to rest, the horned intruder examined secure sliding door that led into the apartment

Once he regained his strength, he closed his eyes and concentrated on the locking mechanism. With a wave of his hand, the door beeped, sliding open quietly. He was in.

The young girl ran into no more obstacles on her way to the apartment door. It wasn't like someone wearing all black was that uncommon on Nar Shaddaa. As soon as she reached the door she did the same as before, swiping the card over the secruity panel, promptly hiding it and walking in.

Some sketchy looking man coming through the balcony door at the same time was the last thing Alais expected. There was little time to think, and so she did something that was probably questionable. She drew her blaster and pointed it at the man. Now, pointing it at him didn't mean she wanted or planned to shoot, shooting was her last resort.

"You want to turn around and go back out on the balcony," she said, hoping her strange trick would work again. The fact it worked sometimes was beyond her fathom, so when it didn't work she wasn't all that shocked or unready to improvise. She was ready to attempt to talk the man down, possibly pass off the threat with her gun as being a paranoid friend of the apartment owner.

Myr walked into the ritzy apartment, coming to a halt in surprise as a young human woman was walking through the front door. Flipping his spear up into a throwing position as she drew her blaster, Myr was even more surprised when the mystery woman attempted a fumbling mind trick on him. A slow sneer spread across his face as he realized what he had stumbled across.

"Little girl, you know not the powers you play with." He growled through sharp fangs, a low chuckle in his voice. With a slow wave of his first two fingers, the door behind the young blonde slid shut. "Lower your blaster." He whispered the command, his voice layered deeply with the darkside of the force. The whisper would fill her mind with an urge to follow his command, while also speaking fear into her heart, the clambering dread growing with every moment that the blaster remained pointed at Myr.

"What the kark, freak?" she said without thinking when he mentioned powers, twisting her face into a confused look. Whatever he was on about made no sense, but the confusion was the least of her worries when fear began to fill her mind.

There was also... something else there that felt dark and wrong. At the same time she felt the need to lower her blaster, but that too made no sense. Something in her told her to resist and she tried for a handful of quickened heartbeats. Her arm shook violently as she fought against it, but, in the end, despite her best efforts her resistance proved to be futile and she lowered her gun.

Since plan A through C already failed, she needed to try plan D. The issue is she had no plan D, so plan D was now DO SOMETHING KARK DAMMIT.

"Look, you don't know me, I don't know you so lets make a deal, yeah?" she tried to say calmly despite the fear in her mind. Slowly she held up her free hand, keeping it near her. It was clenched into a fist, as if she was holding something. "You go do whatever you want, I'll go do whatever I want and I wont trigger the alarm." As she spoke, she was slowly backing up but also turning slightly in order to get into the nearest hallway.

"If I trigger the alarm it's bad news time, since everyone and their bantha will be here in seconds," she added, lying through her teeth. There was nothing in her clenched hand. She had no clue how to trigger the alarm nor did she want to. Regardless of the lie, she thought the offer was pretty legit.
