Description: The Destiny-Class Destroyer is designed as a Chiss Battleship with only one purpose, destruction. A massive hulking ship, the Destroyer is designed to carry heavy firepower while taking as much damage as possible to barrel through enemy forces. Its forward hull is the strongest point of a ship, rumored to be able to even ram without taking damage. The wings and sides of the ship, although weaker, are designed to take damage while dealing it out. Cannon batteries are efficiently placed all down the ship's sides and wing, with all missiles placed in the wings for efficient forward fire. The hanger may be accessed from the underbelly of the ship, allowing for ease of deployment for fighters while creating difficultly for enemy boarding.

I really don't think the Chiss need a ship of that size, lol!

This is definitely more of a superdestroyer then a destroyer. If used, I think it should probably be classified as such.

This definitely seems like an up-close and personal heavy hitter. It's a capitol ship and about the size of a Super Star Destroyer. It looks like it's built to be heavily defended with a protective structure, and basically an encased box that drops fighters out from underneath. I could definitely see this ship being used as a ramming device to pierce through the heart of an enemy fleet, and drop hundreds of fighters and bombers upon them. Even then, long-range artillery from the rest of a Chiss fleet has smart-targeting, and the extra defenses would prevent a lot of the damage.

EDIT: I kind of like the idea of making this more like a battlecruiser-carrier mix, and making that direct-deployment much more massive and effective.

That is what I was aiming for. Also, looking over the other major faction's fleets, they have a LOT of 3+ KM type capital ships while we do not. Since the Imperium has TWO different ships over 10 KMs, I don't think this one(4KMs) is Not too far out of line.
