Ask Invasion Lothal Defense of the Lothal Temple

The stun shots came hurling forward, the first blast impacted the Jedi, striking the duraplast plate that was located beneath his robes, and the thud of the impact rumbled against his chest, as if he felt the wind get knocked out of him. That first shot had been dampened, but the second one would send him falling back, gasping for breath -- teeth clenching as he felt the pain of the injury.

Emotion, yet peace. The Jedi Mantra ran through his mind as his eyes winced and burned, with the numb leg and now his heavy breathing, it was clear that the Jedi was close to the end. Vaselsk would roll onto his stomach, his hand reaching out to will the last bit of energy he could muster to bring his saber back to him, and if successful he'd ignite and would angle it diagonally across his body while he pulled himself into a crouching position; his chest heaving up and down as he tried to steady himself. But, it wasn't meant to be. Just as quickly as he came up, his legs would give out and he would fall to the ground, clutching his chest, before slumping into a passed out state.

[Felix]

Felix was ready for the Mandalorian, he had been training for this for so long, he wasn't going to fail. his shoto was in a position to defend his forward leg, lowering his stance he disputed the two bolts with two quick slashes whilst his regular sabre moved forward using to gesture to force push the mando intending to knock down the mando interrupting his third and final shot.

Then he would intend on moving forward to engage the mando, keeping his blades in front of him himself in a low stance ready for a counter-attack and closing to melee range on the possibly knocked over mando.

[Thane Veren]

Thane winced and held his side as he pushed himself back up, looking to where the Jedi was, but there was no further movement. He moved over in that direction, pistol still leveled at the body and sword gripped in his other hand. He put two more stun shots into the Jedi just for good measure, but it didn't appear the Knight was faking.

In truth, he wanted a fight, he wanted the honor of the duel, and he had no real need to execute the unconscious man now. Perhaps some would say it was foolish, but they weren't here and he was. He did bend down and pick up the lightsaber of the downed Jedi, clipping it to his belt as he took in the chaos of the battle around him, measuring where the best place to go next was.

Well fought, he said quietly to his opponent, though no one was actually there and awake to hear it.

And his eyes were drawn back to the Saxon and his opponent. He'd heard no such challenge of honor duel from this Jedi, so he had no qualms with interfering with their conflict. With pistol still in one hand and sword in the other, he fired two shots at the Jedi as he charged Saxon.

Where Thane had been dueling his opponent was to the side of other two fighters, and so his stun shot would be directly into the left side of the Jedi. With his blades in front of him and his attention wholly focused on Saxon, defending these new and unexpected attacks would be all but impossible.

[Kerr Saxon]

Finally the Jedi decides to do an attack. The Force Push hit Kerr, and he was sent in the air back a ways. Kerr would quickly reorient himself in mid air, and then use his jetpack to for just a second and a half to make sure he lands on his feet.

The force push didn't hurt that much as he didn't slam into anything, but it did serve to increase the distance between him and the Jedi that's going right after him.

While the Jedi is charging at him, Kerr would fire two more stunbolts at the Jedi, going for the lower pelvis and the recoil carrying the second shot to the Jedi's unarmored lower chest.

Kerr noticed that his partner Thane had finished his duel with the other Jedi and they are now attacking the same target. The Jedi defense is failing and the Mandalorians troops are gaining the advantage over the Jedi defenders. Soon, the stage will be set that the Mand'alor will stand over the ashes of their temple as he said he would.

The Jetii will find it indeed all but impossible to defend against attacks from two sides, much less the one from Thane the Jedi can't see and would be unaware of.

After his shots ring-out, Kerr would raise his beskad to defend against the Jedi charging right at him and ready his footwork as well.

[Felix]

felix continued his charge, unknowing his companion had fallen in the battle to the other mando and was unaware of the blaster currently being aimed at him. He would block Kerr's first bolt with a slash was to follow up the second bolt with his shoto but as he did the thane's first impacted his left arm causing it to go limp and drop his Shoto, which allowed for Kerr's second bolt to hit Felix causing him to go unconscious and drop his lightsaber. Felix's body still had the momentum from his charge and would tumble until it came to a complete stop

[Kerr Saxon]

Kerr watched the Jedi tumble down as the stun shots hit him. The Jetii had enough time against one Mandalorian warrior, he wouldn't be able to stand a chance against two of them. The Saxon would look towards his partner (@Phoenix) and then give him a nod. "Thank you vod." He said.

With that, Kerr would look around, and then take this chance to loot the Jedi that fell in front of him, taking from him his larger lightsaber. And he would kick the shoto towards Thane.

The Saxon would take in the battlefield, the Jedi defenses, the Mando'ad have broken through. On the radio, he recived reports that the capital city has been taken. Kerr would report his and Thane's victory to the Mand'alor on comnlink,. "Mand'alor, the Jedi Temple is secured."

With this, the galaxy will know the Mandalorians are back, Lothal is just part one of the Mandalorian Crusade, there will be many more.

Now then, time to go inside the temple and see if there is anything interesting in it before it's razed.

Thane watched as another Jedi dropped. The Mandalorians had struck quickly and with great force, ultimately forcing the Jedi into a retreat. But that wasn't without cost. He could see other had not fared so well against the Jedi. Dead and dying on all sides littered the battlefield, but they were victorious.

Good work. Now let's see what these magicians keep inside their secret bases, he said. He could hear Saxon radioing in their victory, and just like that it was over. One thing Thane couldn't deny, though, was that this was a thrill and the best fight he had had in months.
