Interest Check Deep Space Exploration - Unknown Regions

Here is an interest check for exploring the Unknown Regions. The Unknown Regions is a source of wonders and tales, full of hidden secrets of treasures or so they say.

The Discovery Exploration Corps (write-up forthecoming) is launching an expedition into the Unknown Regions, looking to go into uncharted and unexplored territory. The DECS Pathfinder, a Science Crusier will be making the voyage and it could use some outside help. After all, the Unknown Regions is a dangerous region of space, filled with perils both natural and unnatural.

How this would work?

In space exploration there would be lots of variables I would imagine and to simulate variables, was thinking about using dice. Could roll dice to see the danger level of the system they are jumping into, maybe another for how many planets are in the system, if the planets are any good/suitable for habitation, and while surveying, if they encounter aliens never seen before in the galaxy on fanon planets no one else has been on, if they are threats, how big of a threat. .etc

I'm not imagining we'd be rolling for success for actions too often. Rolling a 1 would be very detrimental to exploration results, but people won't be instantly swallowed by a black hole for anything.

Who can join?

I will be making a new character employed by the Corps that would lead the expedition. If anyone is welcome to join, you would be welcome to make a character for it or join with an existing one if you want.

The Corps is a neutral organization and doesn't too much about faction boundaries. Jedi, Imperial, Criminal, Sith are welcome (although in the case of the later it may make more sense to use a cover identify). Many different character types are welcome, from scientists, to pilots, to security/fighters/gun-for-hires .etc

Others can also be a part of this in a different way as well. The Discovery Corps is also open to investment/donations, which may have an impact on the voyages.

Feel free to post here if you are interested, which character you are interested in would be pretty cool? Or if you would like to make a character just for this. If you would also like to be a part of this story in a different way, i am open to ideas.

Thanks for all the interest! In the next few days, I'll get our first voyage started in the next few days. It will give me and others time to create characters for this if need be and other things, then the fun can begin
