Hello there everyone, hope you all had a happy and safe Thanksgiving, and hope you all have a great holiday season as well!

Power Levels

There is some clarifications over power levels. With the abolition of the level system that probably leaves some people wondering how power levels work currently or if there are any.

The TL;DR is that in most cases power levels play a very secondary or insignificant role.

The more detailed answer is this: in general power is tied to rank. The higher the rank achieved, the more experience the character has, and the more powerful they are... kind of. If the difference between two combatants is only one rank (Jedi Knight vs Sith Lord) the difference is going to be minimal. All other things being perfectly equal, the Knight might tire slightly faster, but that's about the extent of the issue and really shouldn't play a significant role in a fight. (As a reminder, the Force ranks are Padawan/Acolyte - Knight/Marauder - Master/Lord - Councilor - Grandmaster/Dark Lord)

The only times that the differences might become more pronounced is if someone is trying to fight two or three+ ranks up. A Knight facing down the Eternal directly or a Padawan facing a Sith Lord may well find themselves overpowered and exhausted much more quickly. While this still does not mean that the fight is instantly won or lost by a certain side, it should be stated that it is disadvantageous to engage someone significantly more powerful than you.

Site Maintenance + Upgrades

A big shout out to @Dread for upgrading the site. There are a list of known issues here (which for the most part have been addressed and fixed) and if anyone else has any, feel free to mention them in this that thread.

With the upgrade comes some new features, such as profile banners, which you can change here like so on your member card.

State of the Galaxy

The Battle of Ryloth contuined to rage on, but it reached it's conclusion, with the Sith failing to gain a foothold on the planet, In the end, the desert sands of Ryloth had debris and pieces from ships thrown all across it's surface, resembling a graveyard of destroyed ships. The Twi'leks of Ryloth and it's defenders would celebrate as they would keep Ryloth from falling into Sith hands, although Sith ambitions for the planet may not stop there...

In spite of this, the Sith continue to expand and grow their assets. After meeting with Blackwell representatives under the guise of a Serenno noble, managed to sign a contract with Blackwell Technologies, with regular shipments of the D3-NB droids to bolster the Sith's forces, unwittingly adding potent droids to the Sith Order's arsenal, which already had slaves and the militaries that the Sith have absorbed from conquered worlds.

Douglas Hudson, after the attack on Coruscant with the Ranger HQ, resurfaced, although still injured, issuing a call for unity for the Rangers. Via private message, Demolly has sent a message to Ranger Lt. Trys Aran, blackmailing her, using her love for her son against to to submit herself to the Sith. After submitting herself, the Eternal himself forced Trys into a rock and a hard place, as he tasked Trys to kill Chief Douglas Hudson in exchange for her son's well being. No one else is privy to this, but it means to be seen how this will play out.

From across the galaxy a signal was broadcasted, not just any signal, a ancient frequency from a Mandalorian. The message in the broadcast called Mandalorians from across the galaxy to travel to their ancestral homeworld Mandalore, which is a ruined planet from thousands of years of warfare. There were calls for unity, to make the broken and scattered Mandalorians whole, to reclaim their birthright and to discover their proud heritage, and there is debate on how to go about it, and what future the Mandalorians will have.

The Sith are not content to stay complacent, bent on conquest and domination, as they eyeing Malastare in an attempt to expand their space around their current capital world Sullust. The Sith wasted no time getting their forces on Malastare, with Jedi and Sector Rangers ready to meet them.

The Jedi have been getting involved, stepping in while the Sith have been growing bold. Also, the Jedi are looking to obtain the Tome of the Eyeless One, in addition to reaching out to the Free Worlds Alliance in multiple locations to prepare for future Sith attack. Also the Jedi have been gaining new bulk freighters for utility use as well.

The Zaa Fenn Crime Family have becoming an emerging group within the Five Syndicates, notably establishing a presence on Eriadu with their activities. The MorataCorp Medical Aid and Supply has established itself as a legitimate medical company, willing to provide care to the galaxy at large at affordable prices.
