Hey guys, and welcome to the new Dark Jedi boards!

Please feel free to post suggestions and feedback and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. We'll do our best to address any concerns and work with you all to make this the best independant faction we possibly can - but to do so we need your help and input to do so, so please don't hesitate to let us know what we can do better. Thanks!

Was just reading about the Legions of Lettow, right? And I was thinking it might be cool to adopt, if we haven't already, their concept of assimilation in a proactive manner. So like we could diplomatically, or at least openly(under the guise of a different banner of course), meet with other FS groups and attempt to learn their unique knowledge of the Force. So, basically, I'm suggesting missions for both PC factions and NPC factions to be gobbled up by our curiosity. If they refuse to give peacefully, or trade willingly with something we're permitted to give, then we take... It could be a way of training, getting other factions to train our members, and have foreign or just normal techniques brought back to be learned here.

If that kindles any coals, I've got some ideas for different ways of going about this. But, in a separate yet conjoined thought, it might be interesting to have an official guise-moniker as our faction's alias as we continue to work in the shadows? And by that, I mean openly claim that we are the Monks of Mugaar or something, so that when we do stuff like this we are thought to just be from an independent sect of Force worshipers who are harmless and trustworthy.

Just some coffee for the sipping. Toss it out if it's not your brand. ;D

Nice suggestions, good to see someone putting thought into the faction!

As per your first point, I think if we were to do that, it would not be for a while. Boli and I are currently working on Eriadu's ongoing thread-ature (real word. for real.) and we have some immediate arcs to address that I will need some of you for if anyone wants in (you will find out what this arc is soon enough!), so we have stuff on our plate at the minute. That being said, whilst your idea is certainly interesting, I am wondering if it makes IC; to explain what I mean, let's take a look at the Bogan as a faction. We are, in some ways, a conglomerate of Force users, we are probably the most varied faction in terms of what types of characters we attract outside of say, perhaps, the Hutt Cartel. This means - and as is the fact - that are members character have vast and varied pre-Bogan back grounds; more than a few of us were Jedi or Sith. So... we kinda know there stuff anyway. Plus there are a fair few faceted factions my character, and doubtless others too, have studied, and I am just wondering if it is entirely plausible IC.

I do really like your working from the shadows idea behind a guise, and that name is swaggalishus. Once more though, it is all dependent on where our current direction leads us before we can decide on stuff like this. Hope I didn't shoot you down, as I genuinely like these ideas. Keep 'em coming!

If you guys do end up doing the Lettow thing that Butler suggested, it would make sense in terms of where the Bogan historically came from. When the ancient Ospion first arrived on Conscio, where they became the original, ancient Dark Jedi of the Bogan, their turn to the dark side happened because they were influenced by the teachings of Xendor that they found on Conscio. So there's definite Lettow influence on, at the very least, the ancient origins of this faction.

I had an indie faction called the Legions of Lettow years ago, but I didn't realize it had canon connotations until years later... I just picked a random planet that began with L to match Legions from the Atlas.

I was young!

Will there be chanting in Latin and flagellation after parties as well?

As long as there's good ale I won't complain. XD

I think having members of our factions begin to interact in a non-hostile way towards others factions could open up a lot of opportunities for roleplaying. Whether that be in building alliances, trying to undermine existing ones, or even infiltrate other factions to spy on them and keep the bogan updated on other activities, could not just benefit in the mission building department, but allow non-force sensitives to have some place and use in the order and feel a sense of accomplishment and importance, and I know we have one or two non-force sensitives in our faction to date. At least I think we do.

Though with that, there runs the risk of over-stretching ourselves, making our organization too varied, with too many niches filled and not enough of them filled well. So I think we should look to interacting with other factions in covert or diplomatically false faced ways and see where that gets us.

Well, we have things in the works now. Obviously Boli has been away (butt-sniffer) but now he is back things can - hopefully - get rolling. Fear not, I will make him work, I am totally the peoples champion.

You mean you're like the chosen one?

I am way excited to see what direction the DJB takes. This is just the beginning.

I would like you to post them. XD But that's just me.

Also, I know we'd be interested in archeological finds with significance to the force. Would doing basically scouting missions to try and locate these artifacts, or information on these artifacts, make for good missions? Sort of like an indiana jones type of thing in trying to find clues while being "discrete".

@Butler, feel free to either post them here or PM me with them, which ever you prefer!

@Bron, we already have some missions like that being planned, funnily enough! So when the next block comes out, you can probably expect to see it up there!
