NAME: Dareth Raven
FACTION: Jedi Exiles
RANK: Apprentice
SPECIES: Human

GENDER: Male
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, marginal training.
APPEARANCE:
Dareth is a tall, thinly built individual. Standing roughly at six foot four, the muscles hiding just beneath Dareth's skin are not quite visible, giving him a lanky appearance. He has short black hair he keeps cut just above his ears which naturally spikes up on its own. He has light green eyes, though they sometimes darken depending on what environment he is in. All along his left arm are a series of tattoos, each one flowing in waves from one to the next, until finally moving to his chest. Three long scars run across his chest to just above his waist, with the tattoo's each starting at the top of one of these scars. He has a second series of scars across his face, though there are only two and they run from his left eye to just below his mouth.
Due to the intense scarring, Dareth tends to wear heavy clothing, and a personal mask that only reveals his eyes. He wears dark clothing, typically a pure black set of shirt and pants that have a few pieces of armor to help protect him. He also wears a hood over his mask, though he does it more for the simple reason he likes the look of it.
ATTRIBUTES:
Dareth is a rather blunt and straight forward individual. Head strong, he prefers to deal with problems in the most direct route possible. Because of this, Dareth is quite talented in straight up fights. From his early education, Dareth has a keen mind, though he prefers not to let people know that part. He had a interest in military tactics as a child, and so spent many hours of his free time reading some of the greatest stories and histories he could find in his families extensive library. Though not a master himself, he has come to grasp some of the finer points in broad military strategy. Along with this came his general education, giving him knowledge and understanding of political intrigue, from his mother's tutoring, and the finer areas of medical knowledge, from his father.
With this knowledge though comes a certain air of arrogance. When he makes a plan he commits himself to it fully, without thinking of possibilities if failure comes to pass. As such he does poorly in situations he doesn't have complete control over, with his on the fly decision making often getting him into further trouble. Due to his past, he occasionally has mental breakdowns, shutting him down completely for hours at a time until he brings his mind back to order, locking the memories back behind the walls he has forged in his mind.
PERSONALITY:
Dareth tends to be a sarcastic and cold individual, brushing past peoples pleasantness without pause, and often taking pleasure in hurting other, mentally or physically. While not against the practice, Dareth keeps few friends. He has issues trusting people, and is often worried about being stabbed in the back. Arrogant to the point of fault, Dareth will tend to underestimate everyone he meets, only ever giving them the barest credit afterwards.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dareth was born to the prominent Raven family on the world of Bakura nineteen years ago. His father was a prominent doctor, treating many of the richest families of Bakura, while his mother was a member of this upper class, bring her family into the higher life. As with most families on Bakura, Dareth's parents had only two children, spaced a single year apart. Dareth was the elder, with his sister often following him around their home. Both children began their education at the age of three, being taught everything from military history to the minor areas of biology. In his free time, Dareth took up dueling with some of the other noble boys, excelling in the violent sport despite his fathers displeasure.
When he and his sister were old enough, they were taken to the nearest Temple of the Bowl and Feather, where they underwent a test. As was custom on Bakura, the child who scored the highest would go on to follow a career of their choosing, while the lower scoring child would be turned over to the temple, to dedicate the rest of their life to serving the minks there. Much to Dareth's anger, he scored higher then his sister, and the two returned home to spend their final night in the same house. Their parents through a grand feast, though Dareth's usual humor and wit were replaced by an air of brooding.
That night, there was an explosion in their home. An unknown ship had broken through the atmosphere of Bakura, catching the local defenses by surprise before it crashed directly into the Raven estates. His parents were killed right away in the first explosions, with the blaze soon spreading across the rest of the estates. Dareth rushed to try and save his sister, only to watch as a burned and bleeding figure enter his sisters chamber. Moments later, a second ship arrived, letting out two figures dressed in armor and brown robes. By the time Dareth got to his sisters room, the two figures, whom he would learn were Jedi later, had corned and engaged their prey, a Jedi Exile. In the ensuing saber duel, the Exile was killed, though not before his sister was cut down by a stray slash of a Jedi blade. In a rage, Dareth grabbed the Exile's saber, swiftly engaging and cutting down the two Jedi before him, both wounded from the duel.
Still carrying the Exiles blade, Dareth boarded the Jedi's vessel, killing the few crew members still aboard before taking off. He turned his back on his burning past, and set off into the wider galaxy. Shortly after his departure he met up with a small Exile cult, where he received rushed training and understanding of the Force before being thrown straight back into the fight against the Jedi.
SKILLS:
Dareth is a skilled duelist, from years of practice on his homeworld and years of practice afterwards. While no where near a master at saber duels, Dareth spends many hours each day refining his technique, eager to take the lives of more Jedi with his blade. He has an understanding of medical knowledge, a gift from his father that he still practices to this day, though he has warped and corrupted much of his fathers teaching. He is able to treat his own injuries and those of others to an extent, while also knowing how best to create poisons and other dangerous chemicals.
