This armor is a dumbed down, commercially available version of the Mandalorian TRA armor, emphasizing its use by scouts and explorers. It's open for use to all characters or npcs, since many of the currently approved armor are faction or unique. It's also meant to cover the "bottom rung" of galactic denizens who want to wear something protective but don't have Norbaal-character-esque amounts of credits to spend.
CZ-Rim Scout
An ageing but still commonly encountered medium armor, the Rim Scout was developed by Czerka Corp to provide the market with an affordable alternative to more robust but expensive systems. It's niche lies in ground/atmospheric scouting and reconnaissance, with harsh environments common in the Outer Rim kept in mind throughout the design process.
The armor consists of an abrasion and tear resistant armorweave body suit topped with thin, flexible, but strong duraplast plates on the chest and back, forearm, knees, and shin areas. It is capped with a helmet which seals the bodysuit around the neck. The bodysuit and helmet are fully sealed and insulated, which regulates the wearers body temperature in harsh environments and provides some protection against atmospheric contaminants, but it does not protect against extreme heat or cold for extended periods (or directed heat/cold weaponry), and is not pressurized or rated for vacuum exposure. The suit is water resistant, but full immersion is not recommended. The system incorporates a multitude of easy-access pockets for storage of survival and survey gear.
The simple and durable base system and the roomy helmet makes the system easily modifiable for different physiologies or individual mission needs. This design simplicity, along with its affordability, means it is most commonly found in use among pioneering scout and exploration services in the Outer Rim and Unknown Regions, where its features are most useful. It has also found a use in specialized military and paramilitary units on some backwater worlds, though it is not intended to be a dedicated combat armor. A few suits have been found in the use of Rim based bounty hunters, such as the Chiss Mirrsh'ata'sabosen (pictured, right).

Functions
.Function 1: Scout Survival HUD
- The Rim Scout's helmet incorporates a simple HUD capable of giving temperature and environmental readouts useful for determining the composition and breathability of an unfamiliar atmosphere, and identifies the presence of any dangerous toxins. It also sports a comlink, internal compass, and a 4x rangefinder manipulated via a knob on the front left exterior of the helmet.
- The suit utilizes a simple onboard computer in a small chest mounted box- a civilian precursor to the Advanced Tactical Reconnaissance Computer built into modern Mandalorian recon armor. The computer has a small range of capabilities useful in the field for gathering, recording, and relaying useful information to the wearers nearby ship or colleagues. When hard wired to the helmet the computer records everything the user sees, hears, and says, along with the helmets environmental readings, and transmits the data to any designated receiver within 100km. The computer can also be linked with a drone, probe droid, or remotely placed cameras by way of a small universal com unit attachment. The attachment captures video feed from the device and transmits to the user via the com feed. This feed can be displayed in the HUD if the helmet hardwire is connected (though a separate controller for the drone is still required), and is relayed to the designated receiver with all other relevant data. If the unit is incapable of transmitting, all data is instead stored for later manual download.
- The helmets prominent "snout" contains a small atmosphere capsule and breath recycler unit, which together provide the user up to 10 minutes of breathable air in hostile atmospheres (whatecer that may mean according to the wearers physiology) after which the wearer will have either made it to safety or began suffocating to death. The capsule can be refilled and replaced in the field with ease using a variety of commonly available refill tanks, or can be connected to a larger resrve tank for longer exposure (not to excede one hour), at the expense of bulk, weight, and potentially explosive gasses strapped to ones back. The breath recycler unit also provides the wearer with a minty fresh scent inside the helmet.[./list]
