Various manufacturers.

Type:
Prosthetic.

Sensors:
Able to experience sensation.

Size:
Varies from user to user.

Power Source: Battery with lifetime endurance (Draws energy from nerve impulses)

Composition:
Durasteel skeleton with synthflesh covering.

DESCRIPTION
A cybernetic replacement was any biomechanical device used to replace body parts ranging from internal organs to limbs, which were usually lost or destroyed by disease or dismemberment. Prosthetic replacements were connected to organic tissue via a complex synth-net neural interface, which provided the recipient with control and sensation. External replacements were often covered by synthflesh to emulate actual organic tissue, making them difficult to distinguish from normal flesh.

When flesh failed—and sometimes even before that—cybernetics took over. Prosthetic limbs and replacement organs powered by batteries and controlled by electrical impulses were the low end of these procedures with sophisticated cybernetic hardware designed to improve or augment the recipient's body and mind at the high end of the scale.

Perhaps the cybernetic type most in demand is that for limbs. While many believe such replacements to be more powerful or responsive when compared to the original limb, they are actually quite equal in performance. There is no benefit nor deficit than having a cybernetic limb--though it may take some getting used to.

Interestingly, many cybernetics still allow for force energy to flow from them. Nevertheless, certain powers, such as Force Lightning, can damage and incapacitate this device.

INTENT
To create an option for those who have lost limbs or other body parts (heh), in order to give them the ability to walk, pick things up, or just function overall.

Cybernetics already exist and are considered generic tech unless they do something other than the utilitarian function the limb it is replacing. It doesn't need to really have a writeup unless you want to try and make a special kind of cybernetic. Otherwise it's just generic tech I believe.

Oops, didn't know. Can you simply move it to generitech or should I copy and repost?
Thanks!

EDIT: I'm an idiot; just archive and I'll do a custom write-up later. :P
