Cantonica

Cantonica was known in the galaxy for mainly one thing, it's city casino Canto Bight. But there was more to the planet than that. Aside from Canto Bight and it's artificial oceans, Cantonica is naturally a desert planet. But most importantly for the purpose of this mission, Cybot Galactica, which has it's headquarters in Corporate Sector space, has a large factory on this world.

The droid's pink-colored vessel, the α Draconis landed a decent ways from the location of the factory. She would make the rest of the way on foot. The Blackwell-made droid would then find herself on top of the ridge, over looking the droid factory from the east side, the front facing towards her right. There are huge pipelines going out the building, there is a main entrance to get into, there are plenty of garages for cargo vehicles to get in.

Pedee was contacted by her Father for this. He must be trying to move on up on Blackwell, but Pedee doesn't care about that to be frank. He did however promise a sizable deal of credits for this, and she can use some upgrades.

So, Pedee's partners for today: Tiamat, a Sith lady Pedee has heard a lot about. And @R5 9A, an astromech droid? Is it combat capable she wondered? But should be good for it's utility.

Pedee would have her standard equipment on her. Of course per the mission, she like the other members she is partnering with today have a datacard with a dataplague on it. So they can upload it into the factory's mainframe, and make the droids inside go beserk. That should be fun...

While waiting for the others to link-up, Pedee would crouch down to lower her profile, and continue to analyze the complex. With her infrared vision, she can see a number of people down at the factory outside. A lot of them don't seem to be armed that she can tell.

R5-9A was fervently wishing he could get back to his twisted experiments but he sent a command to that bothered part of his personality matrix to stifle such thoughts. He had accepted this mission not only because BT owing a favor to the Sith Empire would be beneficial to Sith and, therefore, R5 as well but also because he was hoping to snag an organic subject for a new experiment. Most of his subjects recently had been low-intelligence brutes but he was hoping to find someone with a higher intelligence quotient to test some new...procedures he'd been developed. How he longed to slice into a brain and fiddle with it. In his laboratory, he was God and controlled the fates of all organics under his roof. It was an exhilarating feeling and one he hoped to experience again.

But first, this mission.

He rolled up to one of his partners for this assignment and he was pleased to see a fellow droid. A PD model, no less. While certainly not as intelligent as him (the PDs were more known for the capability to murder than experimentations in science), R5 nonetheless beeped out a message extolling his gratitude at working with another mechanical Sith agent and how he hoped the organic coming along wouldn't mess things up with their irrationality and fleshy frames.

Tiamat had taken her vessel far from the rendezvous point and made the rest of the trip by speeder. The world of Cantonica was nearly at polar opposites of the spectrum, almost seeming there were worlds within worlds on this desert planet. Most people knew for its luxurious Canto Bight, and never could fathom the idea of a droid operations factory that rested far from any high paying tourists. The plan for this mission was fairly simple and Tiamat relished in the idea of making this place suddenly very uncomfortable for its citizens. No doubt it would draw the attention from the holonet as they seemed to be thirsty for any sort of disaster that added to its ratings.

She parked her speeder in the valley and continued the rest of the way by foot; she wore her typical field gear, opting for something more neutral toned given the limited concealment of the area and opted to leave her helmet behind. If all went mostly to plan, she would not need to worry about coming face to face with any other organics that may be at the factory. She lowered down to the sandy surface, pulling out a pair of macrobinoculars to scan the area. Hopefully the two droids would also be in their location, as she was facing the factory on the opposite side from where R5 and Pedee were located. The redhaired Sith tapped her comm.

"I'm in position..." she spoke softly and paused, still scanning for a good entry point. She slowly moved across the factory, eventually stopping at the large piping system, "I can get them to look the other way so you two can get in, then it should be no problem for me." she said, tucking away the macrobinoculars and pushed herself up to her knees. The woman inhaled deeply, finding her calm and then begun to make her way down to the factory.

Pedee would nod to the smaller droid when it messaged her. "Pleasure to be working with you as well". The Blackwell-made droid would then also hear Tiamat. "Copy" Pedee replied to her on comms to Tiamat.

The droid would then look in the air above the facility, she sees her Altair unit circling in the air above, far enough that the little droid wouldn't be spotted. "Right on time" she muttered to herself. Her A7 droid, Pedee brought along because it can record footage. The holonet would just love to see raw video footage of rampaging droids.

"Alright, lets go." Pedee did find a route down there from the ridge they are on. They would be a path leading down on their left. The people down below are still nonethewiser so they won't see the droid team coming. Pedee would then slide down the path. The astromech droid should be able to wheel down still.

Once they are down on the same plane as the factory, there would be some rocks big enough to take cover behind. They would still be a far distance away. Pedee would do so, and take a peak at the factory. That's their way in through the larger garage doors, the only problem is there are three people at there. Looks like 2 workers having a cigara break while chatting it up with a guard. Probably more behind the doors.

Pedee could take those three on her own, but she reckons they would prefer if they not have the whole facility on alert.

"Near the east garage doors" she relayed to the Sith lady, toning down her vocabulator. Once the guards go away, Pedee would see a socket by the doors. The astromech droid could scomp through it.

"I can send them away." R5 beeped, annoyed at this little snag in the plan and whipping out his blaster attachment to show exactly how he intended to do so. Unfortunately for the psychopathic little droid, there wasn't much need for bloodshed as the two workers were just taking a smoke break. It took them a few minutes and they were clearly enjoying their conversation with the guard but work was work so they headed back in after a while. That just left the guard.

Understanding the need for stealth, R5 kept his blaster out and wheeled forward towards the socket as fast as he could.

"Huh?" the guard said. Normally, droids weren't cause for alarms but Cybot Galactica was rival with the company that had made R5 and having a unit this close to the factory was an anomaly. Especially one with a blaster pis-

One stun blast later and the guard slumped over, unconscious. R5 might have wished for a more permanent solution but there would be time for that later. For now, stealth was paramount. He plugged into the computer socket and was delighted to see that it was a pretty basic system. While waiting to break through the system, he asked his companions what he wanted to do.

The Force carried her lightly down the side of the sand dune, she was extremely exposed, but she also went on the hunch that they were not expecting a redheaded female come strolling into their factory. So, why take the time to look?

The factory was terribly loud, a symphony of hissing, creaking of mental, line alarms, and other mechanical nuances that gave the place a dead and artificial presence. Which she thought was fairly fitting for a desert, given there seemed to be no signs of life except for herself and whatever other organics residing inside the droid factory. Tiamat slowly approached, moving along the support beams of the pipes that projected from the factory. She noticed the lights that blinked underneath, and carefully she climbed underneath, feeling the drastic temperature change from being under shade.

She looked down one way and then the other, noting the line of lights that followed beneath the pipes, noting there would be an obvious electrical line to connect them. Quietly, she observed the synchronized blinking before moving closer to the factory seeing an obvious electrical cabinet where regular maintenance was being done. Scrapped wire laid where it was dropped and regardless if it were locked, it did not matter as she wiggled the latch with the Force, opening the cabinet to see what was inside. Nodding in approval of the organized wires and cords, she almost felt bad she would have to mess it up.

Almost.

She took out her vibroblade and stabbed it into the box, shaking it around as it severed wires and other important components and as a result, triggered an alarm. Though what it was for, Tiamat was not certain, but it was an alarm, so it had to draw out something, or someone. But as she looked for a place to take cover and head to her way inside, there was a loud creaking of metal from the pipes, they were losing pressure, causing them to collapse from within.

This may be a big diversion for their mission.

While the droid was breaking through the socket, Pedee would hear alarm klaxons not long after. "Nice work" she said over the coms. As for the droid, she'd relay the next part of the plan "Once we get inside, we will make our way to the main frame, insert this virus, record some footage, and get out." No need to linger after they got what they came for.

The garage door would then open up. In addition to the sounds of the alarms there would be the flashing lights as well. They would see a cargo speeder first thing as well. "We can make a quick getaway in this thing when we are done here" he relayed.

Now proceeding into the hall ways, Pedee would look at her surroundings. "We are in, now looking for the mainframe." Pedee would see some organics that are running towards the west side of the building. Thats where Tiamat is coming from right? Whatever she did, they going to investigate it. Tiamat said she can handle herself so Pedee won't worry. The task at hand is what is on her mind.

Pedee would go into the forward corridor instead of left or right. Around the corner, Pedee could hear metalitic footstops, she would put her back to the wall for cover and take a peek. It's a grey 3PO series protocal droid waddling.

Once it passes through, Pedee would leap into action, thinking quickly. The Sith droid would then grab the other droid with both hands and then pull it back in, Pedee would also grip the other droid's neck with one hand and then grip the droid's chest with the other, digging in with her phrik-plated fingers, piecing through the shell a bit. "You got just a few seconds. Tell us where the facilities mainframe is... or I'll rip the memory core from your chassis.." she threatened. The protocal droid couldn't get out of it's predicament no matter how hard it tried.

The protocal droid would respond, timid of course. "Oh, oh my. Please don't. The mainframe would be on the third floor of this building. You can take the elevator there." Pedee would then take that information in. "Thank you" and then Pedee would twist the droid's head off, decapitating it. The droid would fall into a slump. Pedee won't have that droid being let alerting others of the infiltrator team's presence. Plus, she didn't say she wouldn't twist the droid's neck off either way. "Alright, to the elevator."she said to the smaller droid.Pedee would go through the main hallway towards the center of the building, moving cautiously.

R5-9A dutifully rolled forwards to the elevator, approving of the use of violence against the 3PO unit. There was a reason loose ends were called "ends" since they tended to be the conclusion of most well laid out plans. Once he and Peedee were safely aboard, he'd shut the turbolift doors and punch in the third floor buttons. Once up, he'd access the computer port in the elevator, locking it in place on the third floor until they were ready to leave again. As he exited the turbolift, however, he was confronted with the sight of two engineers dutifully following protocol and rushing for the elevator in response to the blaring alarm.

Or at least they were until R5 put two holes in them; his blaster now set to kill.

"What now?" he beeped to his fellow droid.

There was a series of hissing noises from the pipes as Tiamat quickly moved from underneath; she started to make her way toward the factory building when she heard shouting, her senses urging her to either hide or to take action. She fell into the shadow underneath the pipes, watching as the engineers ran past, yelling and cursing as they realized the damage done to the structure. She could hear the clicks of static over their radios as she climbed to the other side of the pipes and continued, looking for a way inside.

Ahead she could see doors and the immediate exit of speeders as crews quickly got to work to manage the problem that was occurring outside. Tiamat frowned as she thought walking in through the garages to get inside, but there was always more than one way to get inside someplace as she looked up and down the walls, trying to find some sort of maintenance hatch, a small door that could be her way inside without firing up anymore attention at least onto herself.

Something would catch the corner of her eye as she noted movement on top of the pipes; a hatch like the one she was looking for stood open as a couple workers climbed out to assess the damage from above. The Force wrapped around her as she readied herself, feeling her muscles tense just slightly as she pushed off the sand, launching herself upwards and onto the pipes next to the hatch; her landing was soft and without pause she slide into the opening, pulling the door of the hatch down over her. The locks clicked and Tiamat started climbing down the ladder.

She paused as she reached the overpass ramp that overlooked the factory assembling line. Many areas came to a pause as the engineers tried to fix what was happening to the pipes outside. For Tiamat, she was fine with the delay, it would give her time now to find an access point to the mainframe.

This little droid is quite the stone cold killer isn't he. Especially for having a medical cross on it. Pedee is starting to like him. Anyways the question is "Now what?' the medical astromech droid spoke. "Tiamat, we are closing in on the mainframe. East building, third floor. There will be a turbolift to get up" Pedee relayed over comms so the Sith Lady doesn't have to go through the effort of discerning where the mainframe is.

"Lets move" Pedee then said, following the main path. Aside from those two engineers that were just shot there hasn't been any other signs of life. Turning a corner, there would be a door in the center with three other smaller droids guarding it. Pedee wondered what kind of droids those were. They are small, they look like astromech droids. They look cute. Two on the left side of the door and one on the left. The droids would be beeping, their tones hostile. Then Pedee realized those things on it's 'faces' are blaster barrels. Realizing this, Pedee brought up her micro-missile launcher and then fired two shots at one on the left of the door. Destroying it.

But the other side did unleash a torrent of blaster fire through. Pedee got grazed on her right side as she moved to the side for cover around the corner she came from. "Damn" Pedee said as she was out of line of sight. She would then prepare for the fight as she readies her weapon and has her back to the wall. Pedee can hear wheels rolling so the droids are coming their way too. Pedee was not happy that her fresh coat of paint now has a scorchmark on it. She was feeling some amount of anger.

They have to be on the right track at least. This room is still guarded even when all the organic personnel are dealing with whatever set off that alarm.

R5 had really been hoping for the sight of more organics. Those engineers had shown up too quickly in the midst of a delicate part of the operation that he hadn't had time to properly stun them and wheel them back to the ship so he could take them back to his lab and dissect them. And that was really ruining the little droid's day.

And this day was only getting worse when a bunch of sentry droids popped up and started blasting at him and Peedee. Combat normally wasn't R5's specialty - he was much more fond of infiltration, diabolic machinations, and biology. While he did have some combat programming and could fight if need be, he didn't think he'd be able to match two sentry droids in terms of firepower.

So he didn't.

Whipping out his fire extinguisher attachment, he blasted the door way and doused the two remaining droids with sticky white foam. R5 hoped that it would make them lose some traction, cover their photoreceptors and gum up their blaster weapons but, at minimum, it would create a smokescreen enough so that Peedee could now take some shots and make a move.

Tiamat's comm crackled with the directive from Pedee on where she needed to go to insert the datacard. She continued along the walkway and through an exit onto an empty floor. Her sense of direction was slightly off from being inside the building and was unable to pinpoint where she exactly stood in relation to the other droids in the factory. So, the young Sith relied on her senses, twisting the Force to her command as it would lead her in the direction that she needed to go.

The doors on the side of the factory she was on seemed to have more secured locks than where she started. She paused before she placed her hand over the key access panel and listened carefully, searching for the urgency that would tug when things were about to go wrong. When no such feeling came, Tiamat felt her shoulders relax and with a nudge of the Force, the panel shorted out and Tiamat moved onto the next hallway. She made the educated guess that the large two on the wall next to the door signaled she was on the second floor and now she needed to get up one more level.

The redhead continued through the hall but seeing another utility ladder, she decided it would be quicker than looking for a lift or stairs to the next level up. Using her saber to cut through the bolt lock, it took her up into a utility room and the girl huffed, now working to find herself an exit through the maze of pipes. Hopefully her partners were having better luck getting to the mainframe.

The sentry droids would have their movement hampered as well as unable to see. They had motion sensors, but not infered vision like Pedee does. Pedee would then dash to the side around the corner and then charge forward, not missing a beat. Pedee was able to channel the anger into her fists, as she would make a quick charge and the punch where it's head would be. The phrik-laced fists would smash through it's chassis with the power she put behind it. "Die efficiently" she said to the droids as she was attacking.

As for the next one, Pedee would quickly put away her mirco-missile launcher. She would then grab the sentry droid, and then put her foot on one of the droids legs. WIth it's blaster facing away, she would then pull, and she would rip the droid's head right off it's chassis. She would then throw it down on the ground and then stomp on it, crushing and destroying it.

With that out of the way, the door to the mainframe is clear. Pedee would then attempt to go through the mainframe door. But it's locked. "Alright, time to do your thing. I'll stand guard" she said to the little astro droid. Everything was beginning to come into place. The objective is almost within reach, she should recall her Altair droid that's loitering above air. That way it will be ready. "Altair unit. Form up with me inside the building." Pedee said over her inbuilt comms. The Altair unit would then obey, now descending, now flying through the garage door that was was opened earlier.

"Affirmative" R5 beeped, heading towards the small outlet below the control panel of the mainframe door. Plugging into it, R5-9A was surprised at the level complexity of the security measures. Or rather, the lack thereof. While it was certainly more secure than other doors and had several layers of protection, for what was supposed to be a guard against trespasser, it proved fairly simple to crack through; R5 would probably be able to get through in only a minute or two. Perhaps they were counting on the effectiveness of their security guards and droids to be able to deter against hackers. Or perhaps they reasoned nobody would be crazy enough to try and break into such a large facility.

"We'll be through shortly." R5 beeped as he continued to work. Getting through wasn't particularly challenging but it was tedious and would take a bit of time so the only thing he could do at the moment was work and wait. He started getting bored so he thought of his favorite memories. All of them involved some form of dissection. Most of them involved doing it towards sentient creatures. Some of them who were conscious. R5-9A beeped contently as he lost himself in this sea of pleasant memories.

Good times...

Her steps were cautious as she made her way through the utility room; it required her to focus on her senses to guide her to one end to the other as there really was no certainty of where one should go to get out of this place. In fact, the longer she spent searching for an exit, the more agitated she became and begun to contemplate cutting herself an exit so she could get back to the task. Within moment, she found what looked to be a door and the Sith threw her head back in exaggerated relief, accented with the longest huff she could muster.

She hit the door release and the panel buzzed, denying her request. So, she hit again, seeing that would be dump to lock someone in such a room so they can't get out, but the panel still buzzed.

Tiamat let out a yell of frustration and punched the panel, her hit aided by the Force. The impact caused it to short out and the door opened, allowing for Tiamat to continue. She looked up and down the hall, picking a direction that felt right and headed to the mainframe. There seemed to be a trail of debris that guided her path to Pedee an R5, who was hooked to the terminal, working its way through security.

"I'm about done with this place." she grumbled with a frown; finding her way to the mainframe seemed to have extra steps that just were not necessary.

The door to the mainframe was unlocked, the door would then open, and then they would be there at last. Pedee would step forth and there would be large computer hubs, tons of wires, tons of terminals, lights, and lots of humming. Pedee saw and noticed that Tiamat would be behind them, she looked like she had a tough time. "Nice to see you again, you alright?" She did indeed look like she was done with this place.

Pedee would then see the central computer, and then there was a window that when looked down there were some droids on stan- by and deactivated, there were some large loader droids see eyed. "These look like they can do some serious damage". Pedee though, she can't wait to upload the dataplague into the system.

There were also an array of video feeds through out the facility. They would shift through out the facility. There would be some droids doing their jobs, like cleaning or maintance. There would also be one shifting view of the workers working on the pipeline, in tandem with some droids, astromech and a repair droid respectively. The Altair bird droid would then make it up to the third floor, it would then follow the same trail that Tiamat picked up to link with Pedee, in the end roosting on Pedee's right arm.

"Time to get this show on the road"
Pedee said as she made her way to the central console, and then she would put the datacard that has dataplague in it. The console screen would appear as normal, but slowly but surely it is getting corrupted. "Altair, get ready to start recording"

Soon, the droids would be affected. The droids out in the window would activate, the wires would disconnect, and then go berserk, and start destroying everything around them, destroying the equipment, punching the walls, and then leaving the area. They wouldn't attack each other though.

The mainframe also transmitted orders to the other droids around the facility not long after, at the pipeline in particlar, the astromech droid would then pull out a fusion cutter, and then start using it on one of the workers. The repair droid would start murdering other people with it's 8 arms, stabbing one with a hydrospanner, electricuting one with a arc wielder before finishing him off with a servodriver. Strangely this surveillance comes in video only, no audio. Pedee can almost hear the pained screams of the organics though. "R5 you able to extract all footage of this?" Pedee would figure that's a good idea. The more vids of horrific violence that occurred here will only help the mission, the media would go wild over this footage

"Already done." R5 beeped in the affirmative, having already plugged into the mainframe to download copies of those video files. What he failed to mention to Peedee was the fact that he was making two copies. One for Peedee and one for himself. R5 was a scientist interested in the limits of the human body against outside trauma and these recordings of droids going mental certainly were going to provide him with lots of data. That along with the fact that sometimes R5 just liked watching footage of mayhem, murder and destruction. It was most illogical but, then again, so were most hobbies.

As R5 was in the mainframe, he noticed that the humans had sent in a call to the authorities to arrive shortly. It was a clever move and would give more eyes to witness the destruction that these droids were causing. But it also meant that they should be leaving soon. R5 communicated this in a series of beeps to his two partners and also set the outside security turrets to shoot anything that was attempting to enter the facility. It would take out quite a few security officers and would add to the chaos already unfolding.

Tiamat was distraught to the point the droid noticed, "Lets just do this." she sighed as she followed the droids into the mainframe. The redhaired Sith climbed between a few towers to get to the access point she needed to slip in the datacard with the plague code. She knew once the procedure started, it would probably be wise to get out before any of the other droids spotted her specifically, the organic. Her blue gaze watched as the red lights blink until they were all on and begun to blink rapidly with green lights, indicating successful upload.

Carefully not to unhook any of the wires, she made her way back to Pedee and R5 to watch on the the holocam feed of the droids going berserk around the factory. The Sith woman folded her arm, shifting her weight to comfortably watch the chaos unfold through the factory. The Force curdled with the agony experienced by the victims of the deranged droids. She heard the beeping from R5 indicating they should get going before more security arrived to contain the location and the woman nodded.

"I think our work is suffice to say we can leave it to its fate." she agreed heading out the way she came, vibroblade in hand just in case of unexpected trouble.

The carnage was beautiful. The dataplague really did the trick. The droids were really brutal in their culling of the organics here. But yes, the mission is complete now they just have to get out of here. "Yes, there was a cargo speeder in the garage we can use." she said to bother her partners.

Pedee would then go towards the where the elevator is but there is one loader droid causing havoc in it's wake. The droid was berserk towards organics, not droids. While Pedee and R5 could go past without issue, Tiamat would be a target. Since the loader droid is in the way, Pedee didn't waste any time using her right phrik-laced hand through plunge through the loader droid's "heart" and then pull out a vital component, the droid would then fall back dead.

"Quickly" The bodyguard droid would then make a run for it down the corridor back into the garage they came from. Pedee can see some more rampaging droids causing destruction, they aren't in the way, yet anyway.

"In here" Once Pedee would get to the garage, she pointed to the cargo speeder, same one she saw when she first got in here. Fortunately the loader droids haven't destroyed it. Pedee would take to the drivers seat and she would begin starting up the vehicle. It would take a bit though. Once everyone is on board and the loader is ready to accelerate, they should be good to to.

R5 also hopped on board, pleased at the levels of destruction he was witnessing. And things got even better when an engineer suddenly burst through the garage, evidently having the same idea as the trio of Sith operatives due to the droids going haywire. R5 admired the man's survival instinct and, judging from the white lab coat, the man was also highly intelligent. All told, he'd make a perfect test subject for one of the little droid's experiments so he quickly set his blaster to stun and pointed it at the man.

"Oh gods!" the man cried out desperately, attempting to back away quickly. Once again, R5 admired the man's commitment but he wasn't quite fast enough to outrun a stun blast. With the engineer now unconscious, R5 used his manipulator arms to get the man on the cargo speeder, wanting to take him home to experiment on him. It was slow work and R5 was all too aware that time was of the essence here.

"Some assistance?" he asked both Peedee and Tiamat
